| Bought the DLC on release as I was renting the game but got bored of waiting for a fix so sent it back. Guess I'll have to re-rent it or find a cheap copy when it's sorted. |

| Whew...just ordered and in the post, thank god it's not the regular game. In the spirit of blacklisting developers...Terminal Reality for Ghostbusters...we're getting a patch in the fall, but it's a patch PS3 will have had for almost a year and it doesn't work. |

Surely they mean "everyone" and not "some". The only people who have 'unlocked' these achievements are hackers. |

Still, THQ looking at fixing this is MUCH BETTER than how EA has handled its glitched the Army of Two 40th Day DLC (which includes EA pointing fingers at everyone and stubbornly refusing to even try to fix it)
For those who don't know, with the 40th Day DLC - you cannot unlock one DLC achievement for each multiplayer achievement you have unlocked in the original game. (So 4 MP achievements = you lose 4 DLC achievements) |

No it doesn't, it requires you to make sure it works before you actually put it out there.
It's not as if they were under pressure or in a rush to get this DLC out, and yes, everyone has the problem. less than 5 minutes of research would have told them that the only people who have unlocked them are hackers.
Mark my words, this will probably drag on as much as Army of Two:TFD has. |

@7, why did you bother getting the 1000 if it's garbage?
@13, a couple of the achievements require you to be offline to get. Slippery Pull being the most notable as the others are doable in split-screen so you can still be logged into live. |

| it's just a dlc. i know the internet is made for people to fuss about....stuff....but dang. you don't have anything else to play while you wait? it's not like you lost $3, you just need to wait a bit for them to fix it. yes, it sucks, but getting upset won't help any. just find something else to do :) |

That's if they ever fix it. I think people should be entitled to a refund in cases like this. I know it's a small amount, but you expect things to work when you buy them.
Anyway, I thought all patches and DLC went through several rigorous checks by the company who made the game, and by Microsoft?. Clearly something went amiss here.
They should at least pull the DLC until the issue is resolved, lest anyone else gets bitten by this. |

| Thank Microsoft and THQ for everything they are doing.....at least they acknowledged it and are trying to work out the kinks. It would be smart for them to fix this because Homefront is coming out soon and hopefully it wont happen with that game |

Claiming only "some people" have this issue makes it a lower priority in their internal support desks. It's all about updating and tracking the issue so the same error can be avoided for their next product. That's how support desks work in big companys these days.
@all the guys who say "it's just 240 MS points". I bought a product and didn't get 100% of it's content and that includes the achivements. There should be a contractual agreement between MS and the developers that guarantees glitch free achievements, or at least a technical support. In the end they use the achievement bait as part of their marketing strategy. |

@28, let me bring up Turning Point: Fail of Liberty.
The online's fucking dead (let me not start on the horribly shit campaign) so I email the devs and they say "we understand the game may not have many players due to it's age". WHAT THE FUCK. They stole my money, the bastards. They with-held 260G from me and they didn't even offer to help me.
I hate it when you have absolute fucking idiots design achievements. How can I participate in an 8 player match in A DEAD GAME?!?! I'll burn their damn studio down. |

Well, apparently it is now fixed and some have unlocked all the cheevo's. O.K. here is the stupid questions of the day:
How do you use the alternative fire on the volt driver? I can not figure it out.
Also, I'm doing my second play through on "Ranger Easy" mode, the HUD does not show, I thought this only occurs when playing through "Ranger Hardcore".
Anyone else experiencing this?
Finally, can the DLC cheevos be unlocked without playing ranger mode, I am inquiring about the weapons achievements, not including of course the "Survivor and "Last Man Standing" DLC achievements? |

Can't say I know. I shall not be buying this. This will be the only special edition game that I'm trading away. In fact, I'm going to go out of my way to loan it to people for as long as they want to play it for, just so they wont buy it.
I'm well and truly pissed off that they'd release the special automatic gun on the marketplace after I went and bought the special edition that had it.
