The next piece of Borderlands DLC is coming. We all know that and have done for quite some time, but it seems as if those pesky code crawlers have been at it again, also confirming our suspicions that General Knoxx was set to make a return.

Nestled inside the code for the PC patch 1.31, forum user "Legendrew" and various other Gearbox forumites, found oodles of details for the upcoming, previously unannounced fourth piece of Borderlands DLC.

The amount of details that came out of the code was quite staggering and full of potential spoilers, but the code mentions that there will be  21 missions - 9 main missions, 12 side missions - 10 new locations and plenty of returning characters... oh, and a "Interplanetary Ninja Assassin Claptrap."

The plot revolves around said Interplanetary Ninja Assassin Claptrap, who apparently was created by Hyperion to stop the vault hunters from stealing all the loot. Madness ensues and the super Claptrap starts a revolution and frees his trapped Claptrap brothers and rises up against his creators.

The vault hunters are then employed by Hyperion to stop the crazy Claptraps who have started to reanimate dead people and add parts to their pre-existing bodies.... which is where the returning characters comes in, with the code citing a few popular characters all making a comeback.

While we couldn't verify the code ourselves, a couple of recent amusing tweets from Gearbox CEO, Randy Pitchford, and Creative Director, Mikey Neumann, lend some credence to the leak.

Pitchford earlier stated, "OMG! You're in our files, stealing our secrets! Interplanetary Ninja Assassin Clap Trap will KEEL you!" before following it up with "Seriously guys? This is like reading a draft of a script for a movie that hasn't even been announced yet!"

Neumann, after retweeting Randy's tweet, stated, "P.S. Legendrew, if I ever meet you-- I'm punching you in the face. Sure, we'll laugh after, but I'm fucking punching you first."

At least they haven't lost their sense of humour.
