I thought the game could've been much better than what it was. But, according to a developer within Obsidian, SEGA ruined everything they had planned for AP. They continued to make changes to the game throughout the project and that always set it back. I think, perhaps, if SEGA had let Obsidian do their job and do the game they wanted to create - then, maybe, just maybe, Alpha Protocol could've been a much better game. |

Would have been shocked had they made a sequel to be honest. Alpha Protocol had huge potental but failed to deliver. However they knew they were releasing a bad game and I seriously doubt a sequel was ever on the cards due to the complete lack of promotion pre-release. You had to dig pretty deep to find any info on AP and a review couldn't be found until amost a week after it was released. Did they expect to sell 1 million copies simply by giving it the money spinning name Alpha Protocol? Who knows... |

The game hasn't sold as they have expected because to have a good game you don't only need a brilliant concept, but a brilliant game overall. Maybe if they have put more budgets to polish their game, the sales would have been better and then they could do a sequel. Even, if they think their concept is good, why they don't do a sequel that is better than the first. This way they will perform on Metacritic. |

Gutted. I really really enjoyed this game. It was easily my favourite RPG of this year, for all it's supposed flaws. Was looking forward to them using the same thing as Mass Effect with the saved games carrying over. |

They're basing their stuff on Metacritic reviews? ...erm why not just improve on the stuff they said was wrong, and you'll make a good sequel? Morons. |

Although I'd like to see a sequel, why would there be an Alpha Protocol 2 when the Alpha Protocol was shut down at the end of the game? And in saying that, I'm hoping Obsidian will spin this off on their own, under another name, now that Sega won't be producing another "Alpha Protocol". |

| Did #19 compare this game to Alan Wake.... who is getting a sequel? That's funny. And to #25 since customers are how they are making their money its kinda up to us whether they do more of a game. The developers may have thought this was amazing they don't just put a game out without thought. But on topic its good to see a company be humble and say look we failed let's move on to better things. In this money hungry world its good to see. |

What's this? A brilliant concept gone horribly wrong? I'd say this is a TURNING POINT for this once great developer, wouldn't you say? Anyone? Though from a serious standpoint, I heard the whole development process of this game was one big clusterfuck, hence why it turned out so poor. |

| Game was actually very good and full of potential. However, like so many titles, it was rushed through the door without letting the programming team finish work on it, thus it could never shine as brightly as promised. Don't understand why the suits are always in such a rush to put the games out when they ain't even finished and then have the gall to cry about sales. |

my main issue was the shooting mechanics and there was some flaws and glitches here n' there... once i finished playing the game i was a bit disappointed but i did enjoy the story of the game! i think if you were to break the game down to graphics, plot, gameplay, that gameplay wouldnt be higher than a 3-4 but everything else would be at least a 7-8 in my books! |

The game did have flaws. But the pros far outweighed the cons. Games always say that their choices have consequences but I've haven't seen a game pull it off this well since Fallout 1 and 2. You may say "What about Mass Effect? Fable?" but those games usually have two distinct paths to go through and in the long run, those choices mean squat. I actually felt the weight of my decisions, even late into the game when I kept seeing evidence of past decisions. Not to knock Mass Effect or Fable, but I just hate when developers boast choice and conseqence when really it's a slap on the wrist and/or standard good or evil situations. |

The funny thing is, if they had allowed the chicks to get naked, or at least skimpy lingerie or something, the game woulda sold a mint. But I fear SEGA being involved probably put the axe to that thought... It was a good game and I enjoyed playing it. Wish more people would have given it a chance as a stealth RPG with shooter elements AND not started out on Hard difficulty just to get two achievements at once. Starting on easy makes a HUGE difference in how you perceive the game. |

| Hey here's some interesting ideas....how about you turn this shite for a game upside down and do what shoulda been done to begin with and flush all copies of it down a toilet or do like they are doing with Shaq Fu and buying copies back to bury them. And instead of even THINKING about ANYTHING Alpha Protocol Sega, why don't you get to work on a Shenmue 3 since all your other games other than Bayonetta and a couple others that don't suck will make you a profit? |

Had amazing potential, and failed, big time! I couldn't stand the fact that despite early claims of a fairly open world, it was far from that! As for Sneaking around, forget it! Great ideas, but failed to deliver! The branching storylines were good though, played it twice, and both stories changed at ever step. Finally, bugged achievements! Granted I was offline when I played it, thus a patch may have been released, but I detest Achievements that are unobtainable, at any point! Huge let-down! Looks like i'll just have to wait for FO: NV, at least that one WILL be good! :-D |

@22: in the game one of the characters says that every time AP is discovered or exposed, it shuts down and then re-emerges under a different name. it's not too farfetched to say that is what they could do. i thoroughly enjoyed AP and am disappointed there will be no sequel. |

| It's really sad when you work at a gaming company and you have no idea about the game itself. After almost a year I have finally found someone with a copy and started playing it. The first thing I thought was wow, mass effect meets Splinter cell. Great concept for the game, awesome story so far from what I've played. Graphics aren't all that but I look at for what they had. A middle company trying to make a game with a budget less then standard rpg games. A publisher like Sega doesn't help either. They're notorious for constantly switching ideas and direction in mid-project without notice or warning. Kinda bummed no squeal but something I've learned in my 10yrs at GameStop. It's not just the gamers whom make or break. It's mainly the company pushing the game. We're just the definite answer. Thanks again Sega for screwing up! |

| I honestly thoroughly enjoyed the game... certain aspects of it were a bit messed up (like guards instant reaction to seeing you, as if they had inhuman reaction time, and the lack of cash flow), but I would love a sequel. The idea behind this game was very good, and had a great story to back it up. I'm a little surprised the sales were so low. |
