| I have to say that RB seems to be taking a bigger step in the right direction tha GH. Most of the tweeks were already included in GH5 tough (not counting pro and keyboard of course). My two biggest fears are that the song list could be... a little limited with the keyboard and the prices. Honestly i'd rather play metal than elton john tunes but I guess it's just taste. The bundle will probably cost something like $250 with the keyboard and if the pro guitar thing is anyhting decent it could be an additional 250-500 bucks. With all these good games coming out this year I don't think i can afford this and I might just stay with guitar hero. GHWOR has a really good setlist so far. |

I thought that was an Avenged Sevenfold reference! YAY :D Still, the game is a must buy, but maybe not the new guitar and drums, as aweome as the new features sound I doubt I could afford it. |

I really don;t like the six string controller idea! but the keyboard and pro drums could be great! I personally think there should be a well defined line between games and reality! (nobody wants a shooter where your dead with one shot) I will NOT be forking out hundreds for a guitar! (I already have one and the best part of rockband is that it is not real) Thank god you can still play it normally!! :) :) :) |

Guys, just buy the real instruments. You can get an entry level guitar and amp these days for about £120. (thats less than the fucking full plastic package!!) it really isn't hard at all to play the majority of rock songs minus the solos :/ can't wait for all the youtube shitheads to think they're top shit now for mastering their spoonfed musical 'talents' |

| The keyboard is an absolutely idiotic as well as Pro-Guitar. I think at that point, you should buy a real guitar. Pro-drums? Absolutely amazing idea. I do think that my biggest worry is how I absolutely loathe most of the songs on the main Rock Band 2 set list, as well as RB 1. I have a huge taste in music, but please no more crap like "PSYCHO KILLER." |

@#28 & #31 - RTFA!! I'll cherry pick some stuff for you because 1,000 words is obviously too much to handle... "Wooden guitar" that plugs into an amp and be used as a proper guitar. "Fully pitch accurate"... and note accurate! Also... And paragraph 2. Thanks... I guess... |

I play guitar, but unlike many other guitar players, I don't hate on music games. I actually think the pro mode guitar seems a lot of fun. The only bad thing is the large pricetag, but when the controller doubles as a real guitar, it's the price you have to pay. Already have the RB2 drums with Madcatz Dual Cymbal extension, so i'm good there. All i'll have to do is buy the keyboard. Then the guitar when it goes down in price. |

I mean, I love these games, but they're just eating at money and it's ridiculous. I already have an actual guitar now, so I'm learning with that. I admit that it'd ease you into it with a game or whatever as compared to trying to find good guitar tabs/trying to learn by ear/etc. But I don't know, it's still way too much money to throw at it when it's still just a game. |

| @33 - I read though the article. You make it sound like a real guitar takes 1000s of hours to get good with, yet virtual guitars take 15 mins. I guarantee players of this 'pro' mode will sink hundreds of hours into this bloody thing to get to expert difficulty, only to learn a few chords. Why not just buy the real thing? This is taking the 'virtual' play too far. |

I think the price for the squier strat (the realistic pro guitar) is probably going to be $150 or $200 max. It shouldn't be too expensive since it's a Squier guitar, and pretty much all they add is the thing that knows which note your playing. It could be $300 though, if they decide that they are marketing it towards the hardcore RB fans (those who would buy an ION drum set). I wonder how much a pro Drum set would cost though...I would really want to try that out. |

| With everyone thinking that the end of the music game genre was coming, I think Harmonix basically said fuck that shit and by bringing in this pro mode Rock Band will be more than just a game. I know a bunch of people who have gotten into certain kinds of music because they heard it through Rock Band, and now the option is there for people to flat out LEARN how to play because of Rock Band, which I think is absolutely awesome. In 10 years we'll see the first band that learned music from start to finish through Rock Band, and that just blows my mind. |

Oh how people can be so narrow minded. "Just buy the real instruments". If that's the case then go buy a Ferrari and race around the streets at night instead of playing Need for Speed, or join the army instead of playing Call Of Duty. You types of people really annoy me. On the game itself in agreement with most people about the price, will it be worth it? In terms of innovation I would say its a huge breakthrough in gaming not just the musical genre, keyboards, actual guitars, pitch sensitive singing! All, sounds delightful. |
