Considering that Kinect was such a big focus for Microsoft this year, we thought we had to at least check out one game in action – it’d be rude not to. Rather than opting for Your Shape or getting comfy with a tiger in Kinectimals, we opted for something completely different. Ladies and gentlemen, I present Yoostar 2: Movie Karaoke, and as the name suggests, it’s movie karaoke.

“Thanks for stating the obvious Dan, we kind of guessed that... it’s in the name you idiot!! But what does that actually entail?”

Sorry, what that basically means is that you get to put yourself in one of the many licensed movie scenes and play the part that would usually be played by a big Hollywood celeb – or Arnold Schwarzenegger (ouch!).

“How does that work Dan? You’re not exactly being clear here?”

Well, when you’re in front of Kinect you will appear on screen where the actor you are replacing would have stood. As the words appear on screen, you’ll have to say them as they light up, you know... like karaoke but with a movie scene.

While it will not only allow you to recreate certain movie scenes with you in the spotlight, but part of the draw for wannabe exhibitionists will be that, not only can you dress up and look the part, but you can pretty much ad-lib and then rewrite the scene if you so wish.
