Marvel Adapting "The Fall of Reach" for Halo Comic Book

Halo fan-favourite writer Brian Reed is working with artist Felix Ruiz on adapting the hit novel, Halo: The Fall of Reach for Marvel Comics, bringing the story of John - the boy who eventually becomes Master Chief - to startling life in comic book form.

Telling the story of young John and how he wound up being conscripted into the SPARTAN-II program on the fortress world of Reach, we also see the galaxy becomes plunged into darkness leaving one doctor who must pay a terrible price to save humanity.

"What are the secrets of Master Chief's origin, and what happened on Reach to make it the most important planet in humanity's struggle for survival? Find out in Halo: Fall of Reach - "Boot Camp #1," adapting the hit novel this fall!" reads the post on the Halo Waypoint site.

Halo: The Fall of Reach comic adaptation will be hitting all good comic book emporiums in September 2010, the same time Halo: Reach makes its way into stores. Convenient that. It's almost like they timed it that way!

King of the hill...
I loved the first book, everything about it was done right, looking forward to this.
I was expecting the other side of the coin though, with the spartan insignia.

@ 17 -HAHAHHAH YOU GOT IT TOO!! I laughed on the bus when reading that little easter egg. Fall of Reach developed who MC was going to be so beautifully.

-John 117s stride with "Luck" (hence the coin)
-The description of a human attempting to wear MJOLNIR armor
-His first mission/Comrade loss

Cannot wait. I loved the Transformers movie prequel, Ghosts of Yesterday after reading the graphic novel comic. This doing a turnaround for Reach is very exciting.

@ 12 -Spoiler Alert - You don't know shit. Had you known anything about Halo Wars, they debunked that before HW even came out. Master Chief was already out in training during these events.
