Kinect will launch worldwide in time for this Holiday season, on November 4th!  Along with the release date, it is revealed that there will be atleast 15 titles available at launch, including Kinectimals, Your Shape and The Biggest Loser.  Seems like there will be a lot of fitness games, which I guess we could have expected.

Also shown along with the launch announcement is the Star Wars game that will be released next year by LucasArts.  Using Kinect, the player will be able to handle a light saber to deflect bullets from oncoming enemies, and probably will be able to have high-intensity lightsaber battles as well.  Definitely looks good for the more hardcore gamers, we'll just have to see if there will be more to offer for the actual gamers out there.

  • I'm not sure I'll bother initially if the release content is all losing weight and mini-games...Star wars could be good though.
  • Losing weight is bad lol sounds good prob be cheap wii cause we all know Nintendo finically stomped Sony and Microsoft over the last couple of years, still 360 rules and I am looking forward to seeing natal.. i mean kinetic in motion.
  • Not really excited and a bit disappointed with Kinect. Kinect seems to have the same lag it had last year. At least it seems like that from the live demos at E3.
  • Really impressed by Kinect, and will probably get this. I was relieved to see the Forza demo; so it's not casual stuff only.
  • Star Wars sounds good, still not 100% on this yet.
  • Lightsaber battles? Fitness games? With the exception of Forza, this is all very Wii60. Oh, and it STILL HAS THE LAG. The biggest software company in the world and they can't get rid of that fraction of a second delay. The futility of our species is remarkable, no?
  • Not interested at all it seems too much like the wii what they've shown it's been done before on wii and eye toy, real late Microsoft
  • xbox 360 is becoming more wii'ish more kid friendly?
  • The way I see it, is that this is just the next step into the future, not only on the gaming side but for other uses in life. Technological advances have to happen at some point, and whether person A enjoys it or not, this will contribute to new technologies. Over time, the concept of motion control will advance and get better. Everything has to start somewhere... :)
