Modern Warfare 2 'Resurgence Pack' Detailed in Rob Bowling Interview

Richard Walker

It's the Stimulus Package all over again, as the forthcoming Modern Warfare 2 'Resurgence Pack', available from June 3rd, will retail for the same price and feature the same ratio of old maps to new ones.

So, that's three new maps and two classics - Vacant and Strike from CoD4 - joining the growing list of MW2 multiplayer maps. The new maps are called Fuel, Trailer Park and Carnival making up the five map 'Resurgence Pack', which will retail for 1200 Microsoft Points as predicted.

To buy or not buy... That is the question. Can you bear to part with another 1200 points for more multiplayer maps? You can listen to the interview with Infinity Ward's Rob Bowling for more on the MW2 'Resurgence Pack' over on Major Nelson's blog, and make your mind up.

  • I'm a sucker, a definite buy for me.
  • Vacant is my favorite map ever for Search & Destroy and Strike is damn good too. Hopefully the new maps don't have terrible spawns like in the Stimulus pack.
  • Not again. Total Rip off.
  • this game is shite now, there is no way im buying more maps!
  • Pass, Although Strike was a cool map.
  • Hopefully RB will give away more DLC codes through Twitter like he did with the Stimulus and I'll be lucky enough to get one again. Otherwise I can live without the maps.
  • @ 1 I am a sucker to lol
  • Its disgusting that they can charge this much for such little content! Once was bad enough but twice!! Will this cow ever run out of milk....
  • @ 2 Every map has terrible spawns, its the game not the map
  • MW2 is actually starting to grow on me lately, but $30 for a couple of map packs? you've got to be fucking kidding me with that shit.
  • If people pay for them then more publishers will charge this amount for maps, i won't buy anything game to do with Activision since MW2 is so flawed
  • i'll be grabbing this
  • Hmm the carnival level sounds interesting =p
  • No Crossfire? Disappointing
  • For all the moaning about the inflated price, I think you do get your money's worth when balanced against how much people play this title. I am curious though, originally these were to be released later in the year. Is the trouble and departures from IW the cause of the early release?
  • #9 you're right but with the new maps it is even more noticeable to me. Similarly to Sub Base, it is too easy to get stuck in one part of the map and continuously get spawn killed. Most of the other maps I don't notice quite as much.
  • wow... such fail IW/activision. no way im buying this, i didnt buy the first mappack and i not buying this one
  • I just hope respawn makes a fps that makes modern warfare look like complete crap.
  • Again? Jesus i might not buy the new maps again cos i will be busy playing RDR.
  • i posted this as a comment on the other post about it being released on june the 3rd a couple of hours ago
  • can't wait!
  • god i hate vacent... geif backlot! :P i will prob buy these, alltho i have been bored latlely with the game as i got 10th prestige about 3weeks ago, its just boing now ive got nothing to do
  • #18 Infinity Ward already made a game that makes MW2 look like crap... it's called COD4. LoL
  • @1 and @7 Likewise. I wish it didn't cost that much, but hell I'll get em anyway.
  • Sounds like more TRASH to me. :) 1200MSP is a RIP, don't Microsoft understand what a Bad Economy is? Sit Down!
  • I wish there could be a Call of Duty game where every multiplayer game isn't based on luck. Call of Duty's multiplayer gameplay is based on luck...not skill, just luck.
  • sounds interesting i enjoyed all the new maps and crash from the last pack the price is not a big deal cause it does have alot of resale value $15 and i get 2 more mounths of game play out of it in comparison to getting a new game for $60 and getting 3 mounths of play just my 2 cents
  • Sure, why not?
  • Just a silly price for copying over maps from the old (and much better) CoD 4 game.
  • I read on a diiferent site that someone had hacked the code for their disc and there is a setup for a 3rd map pack, so watch this space I suppose
  • @ 17 i love how it's a fail because you aren't buying it...they made so much money off the first one and will on this one too.
  • The way Activision likes to bring map packs out we'll probably end up with the entire COD4 map list in MW2. So lazy
  • Not to buy! That is the answer.
  • Traded this in a while back. While Vacant is one of my favorite COD4 maps, it's just that...a COD4 map that you've probably played a million times before. *Sigh* IW is in serious need of help.
  • I hate to say it but MW2 is just turning into 1 big cash bitch for activision
  • I'll only get it if they integrate them into the original playlists.
  • @#32 Were you aware that Call of Duty 4 had only the one map pack?
  • The Cash Cow is well and truly being milked.
  • didn't buythe first one and don't feel like i missed out on anything so unless this is a resonable price i think i'll leave it out aswell
  • yes keep buying old maps for 15$ so when the next game comes out u can pay 20$ for for the same maps your playing now. IW must be laughing every time they sell a map pack. its bad enough they sold so many copys of a broken game, now there making more money lol
  • I traded this in for SC:C. Not a fan of the multiplayer. You'd think they'd release some SpecOps maps too. I hate how they made a teaser trailer of a singleplayer campaign and have now completely abandoned it to focus purely on multiplayer
  • It's kind of interesting that a map pack for MW2 costs 1200 MS points while at the same time the game Blacklight: Tango Down (as it happens it's a online & co-op FPS as well) will also cost 1200 MS Points. I already sold my MW2 copy a long time ago, but for all you out there waiting for a new shooter or unsure of the MW2 map packs I'd suggest waiting for B:TD and get a full game for your MS points rather than only a few old and new maps.
  • Didn't R6V2 allow you to download the R6V1 maps for free? Whay can't more companies do this? I am looking forward to this map pack more than I was looking forward to the last one though.
  • 2 more map packs and that's the price of the game. Wow, at least with Fallout3's $50 worth of DLC you got $50 worth of gameplay. (Hell I think broken steel was worth $50)
  • I'll lie and say I won't get them, but odds are my friends will get it and I'll get talked into it by them.
  • Just wait long enough and they will go down in price. I'm guessing they will go down by half this summer sometime. If not, no buy for me.
  • vacant was a good level. but why do they keep reusing there old stuff? if i wanted to play those levels i would put call of duty 4 in. jeez
  • With all the big titles coming out I'd rather spend my cabbage on something new, than something thats been washed and re-used.
  • I'm going to wait until both of the map packs are a Deal of the week or they get bundled up together
  • LMAO! Wow. They really know how to milk the buck. It's uncanny as to how ridiculous this pricing is. And people are saying it's worth it! Sure, if you're going to play as much as possible all the time. DLC that's literally worth the buck for the product? *Gears2 All Fronts - EVERY Map pack and extra mission 1600 MSP That's at least 10 maps automatically. *L4D2 The Passing - New weapons, modes, infected, map - 560 MSP *Fallout 3 - All = 800 apiece and the only one that's "too short" is Operation Anchorage *GTA4 - 2 Full Episodes INCLUDING New MP Modes - 800 & 1600 respectively
  • I donĀ“t buy it, like the first one. 2400msp for 6 new & 4 old maps, hoooly shiiit. MW2 is dead for me, BFBC2 is my online-shooter now!
  • @ 48 - You sir just earned a fucking salute! Overcharging for shit you already most likely have is the epitome of anal rapeage.
  • With the amount of other games coming out this summer. Hell on May 18th alone I will be too busy to worry about another 1200 point map pack. MW2 FTL!
  • Waste of cash
  • Why is everyone saying these map packs are so expensive? They are cheaper than the Halo 3 map packs... Halo 3 = 3 maps for 800MSP (266.6667MSP / map) MW2 = 5 maps for 1200MSP (240.0 / map) I'll get them b/c I like playing this with my friends and more choices is always better IMHO.
  • Vacant was a kick ass map...... would like to see the rest before i consider it.
  • @66 its not 5 maps though is it...its 3 maps and 2 OLD ones
  • oops @55 not 66 lol
  • Epic did this regurgitated map thing better with Gears of War 2. The old maps were all bundled, revamped to accommodate the timeline, and FREE on the bonus disc with most editions of the game, or was only 400 points otherwise. And oddly, were fun to play.
  • You know, SO MANY PEOPLE are crying about the fact they have to buy maps they already have/have played before, yet a lot of these people are the idiots with more than one Madden/MLB/NBA game on their list...which is funny, because last I checked, every sports game was pretty much the same...
  • I bought the first map pack, and was overall pleased, though I didn't like having to fork out $15 for it. This game, however, has begun to get on my nerves. I want it to play like cod4 did online but its just not the same. I will pass on this new map pack and enjoy what I currently have for as long as I can.
  • And oddly great timing as well, once again MW2 map pack comes out around the same time as another DLC for Mass Effect 2, wonder where my points are going: Stimulus < Kasumi Stolen Memory Resurgance < Overlord Mass Effect 2 FTW LOL @ 60, yah annual sports games...true.
  • No thanks! FAIL
  • I hate this dlc, what annoys me is that people will still pay this much for overpriced dlc for an overrated game
  • Big pass on this. I wasn't wild about the stimulus package. Really crappy maps and way too many points for what you got.
  • you can blame all the #"&&" who bought the first map pack. If people bounded together and hurt them where there pocketbook was, they wouldnt have pulled the same crap. stop buying overpriced crap. Maps are very easy to make.
  • LOL. No thanks!
  • You angry, angry little people.
  • Modern warfare 2 and battlefield bc2 are crap
  • number 69 u mean the multiplayer was crap
  • Hey guess what... infinity ward doesn't care about the people who don't buy this. You know why? because the number of people who will buy it topples over the number that won't. Even if the game "sucks" and is a "disappointment," theres still COD addicts like myself who play it regardless.
  • vacant? why? 95% of this map is a close quarter.....and in modern warfare 2....everyone uses the thumper, grenade luncher, etc......so...what's the point?
  • "You angry, angry little people." It is mostly the kiddies and the people that don't understand that paying for crap enables them making "more crap".
  • @ 73 - B/c they WILL pay for it.
  • no.
  • I bought the Stimulus pack and played it for a couple of weekends but I'm pretty much done with the MW/COD games. Same thing over and over. Maybe if they'd get with the times and introduce a cover system like Gears,RBSix,or Ghost Recon I'd get interested again.
  • @ 57... 3 new maps plus 2 old maps still = 5 maps. Doesn't matter if 2 are old or not, you still have not played them in WM2. Keep in mind you're not paying 1200 for 3 maps and 2 freebies... you're getting 5 maps, period. So they are old/remade maps... lot of good they're doing me on my COD4 disc while I'm playing MW2 And you be quite amazed on how many people did not get in on COD4 at all, so they are entirely new to them.
  • @78...agreed 5 maps...still rip off. As an early poster said, look at L4D2...new content, new map, new achievements, new weapons, new game modes, new game mode EVERY WEEK....560 points...now thats worth it.
  • All i hear from the people defending this: Baaaaa. Baa baa baaaaaa. Baaaa. BAA!!
  • Hugs # 79
  • they are great maps but im going to pass beacause of the price.
  • @77 three letters FMJ cover system null and void
  • I won't be buying this. But I have to admit all these hate comments are getting a bit old now. You are not going to change anything by bitching so why bother? Just ignore these map packs and move on already. They are aimed at big MW2 fans, if you don't like the game why bother commenting?
  • @73 I agree, Vacant will be a launcher fest in this one. Strike is one of the best S/D maps IMO, but I would've liked to bring back Crossfire or even District over Vacant.
  • meh might as well get it, I'll be playing this game until the next MW so for another year?
  • Ridiculous price! If you keep buying them at this price, they will never figure out that they are too expensive! That's $30 that will have been spent on 10 extra maps for this game! Is that worth the programing you are getting? No! No matter how much I love this game! I can't play the insane DLC price game! Make them free! Keep us fans! They are just gouging the game buying public and hurting the industry as a whole! That's $30 you didn't spend on another game and that's bad! Don't be a sucker!
  • @81 woot got a hug XD hugs back lol
  • Day one buy for me as per normal. Anyone saying well the 2 maps are off CoD4. They weren't on MW2 Disc to start with so their new. Could you use ALL MW2 guns on CoD4 to enable use of the maps. Again NO. Can't wait for the forums to be filled with OMFG ITS A RIP LETS BOYCOTT because it worked so well last time didn't it!
  • Obviously will skip this.
  • MUST RESIST Vacant...
  • @87 So true, I play CoD often, but the prices for these map packs are just ridiculous.
  • damn them, i obviously will buy this!!!! any shotgun with extended mags on vacant isnt even going to be fun though...oh well good thing i got the AA12 8)
  • Anyone who says this is a rip or like #8 - little content! previous map packs have 3 maps 800points. your getting 5 maps for 1200 - That's actually a better deal(cheaper per map) than 3 for 800. so anyone who is moaning doesn't know what there talking about! Bring this on! on my birthday too! happy days
  • @ spacin mason #93 - AA12 your a noob buddy
  • wont buy...but will be watching the stimulus map packs too see if they go on sale.
  • @ 79 wow... the one actual DLC on the marketplace is 560. The poster you pointed out also mentions GOW2's "BUNDLED" DLC of 10 maps for 1600 MSP... how much did those cost individually again? They were bundled together for a cheaper price after everyone and their brother already bought them as they popped up on the marketplace. Regardless of the fact there's no new weapons (probably since not everyone will buy this and you can block maps w/o any major deal but blocking weapons will impact classes and there would probably have to be some adjustments/additions to the weapon challenges, titles, emblems, etc.), and not to mention MW2 doesn't have online achievements at all to begin with it's still cheaper per map than other games. There's already enough effing guns in the game... woul
  • #93 It's people like you that make me hate modern warfare 2 and the majority of people that do it are english and under the age of 12. Oh yeah and they all think themself as the next Rocky Balboa
  • #97 contd. ...would you be more likely to buy this DLC if there were skulls or enemy intel hidden on the new maps to help you enlarge your e-peen (Gamerscore)? Bottom line 5 maps for 1200 isn;t that bad when you realize you've shelled out 800 for 3 maps elsewhere.
  • @8 only when all the CoD fanboys stop buying overpriced DLC i bet MW3 will cost Ā£100 standard and its DLC will be Ā£40 a pop
  • Fail. Didn't buy the first won't buy the second. That games been broken for so long.
  • Huh, but this has been happening well before MW2 Halo have been doing since their second Map Pack with various remakes of maps, Bungie have released various map packs now with 2/3 maps being remakes, but because they are under a different name people tend to over look that. Or like Blackout (Lockout from Halo 2) gets a complete makeover. People are willing to fork out 800msp for 3 maps without questions but when its 5 maps for 1200msp for 2 old maps out of 5 there is an out roar. I got the map pack, great fun, made me prestige and keep playing the game and best of all never really regretted buying them. And will certainly be getting the next map pack as Vacant is awesome. Lighten up guys (and gals), you forget it's a game developer and a business. A company who want to make products to sat
  • #99 my thoughts exactly - see #94 people who moan and clearly scumbags who cant afford it, or there mummy's wont buy it for them. get a job, a life and get real! if you cant afford to pay for a game dlc and have to wait on a 33% sale - your a scumbag. If you have to ask your mum permission to buy them, then you shouldnt be playing the game! especially if your mums such a douche she says "NO" haha. get real
  • @ 103... exactly my point back at #55, lol... I love how all these people come running out and use L4D2 as an example when they clearly don;t recall the borderline internet riots that came about when L4D2 was announced as a stand alone title instead of a DLC update for the the original L4D which was released less than a year ago. Has everyone forgotten about that already? People were trying to rally boycotts over it so I don't think it serves as a reasonable point when arguing about the price of map packs... if you wanna get technical about it Valve kinda owes you guys some cheap DLC.
  • I would have to have the word "Cunt" written on my forehead to ever purchase a COD Map pack again.
  • Awesome sounds like a deal to me hours and hours of continued fun for a mere 1200 msp can not wait 1st second release pick up for me
  • IW are dicks. The talent has now left and we are left with a Activision cross over. All they had to do is release the CoD4 maps (which were superior to any MW2 map) for 1200. Then I would consider buying. My brother has the maps and they look shocking (Really bad).
  • All they need to do is fix the goddamn servers now :P
  • Can I sign up for a payment plan??
  • I bought Stimulus and played for one night before getting bored. I get the feeling this would be the same.
  • Again, here comes the ignorant lame ass haters that have nothing better to do than complain about a video game they claim they don't play. If that's the case, stop wasting time on here with this site and get your lazy fat asses to the gym. No one cares about your negativity. It's not a horrible game to everyone, geniuses...that's why it sold so many copies. Just like the Black Ops coming out will do and the next one and the next one. People like things and have different opinions than you do. Coming on here and running your stupid diarrhea mouths will not change that. It's not a crappy DLC if the person buying it likes it. If it's too much for you then don't get it and keep counting those pennies in the floorboard of your shitty car. If you just don't like COD then go the hell away, idiot.
  • This is sweet can not wait definite must buy for 5 maps and just 1200 msp why wouldn't you. I hope they keep it coming with more and more map packs each and every month and eventually get all of the cod 4 maps on to the cod mw 2 play list that would be awesome then I could trade in cod 4 instead of going back and forth from the two.
  • Vacant will just be a grenade/rocket launcher festival and everybody else will be "super soldiering" the map with marathon, lightweight, commando and shotguns. Strike will be great as it was one of the best Cod4 maps. I will buy the map packs regardlessly as so many people did with the first, despite all the comments people saying they wouldn't, alot bought the map pack anyway. I for one, can't wait to see what the new 3 look like.
  • Just because you write "Fail" in your little x360a comment section, doesn't mean it is. Variety Map Pack- Sold 1 million in one week ($10) Stimulus- 2.5 Million in one week ($15) #50, would have loved to get GTA4 episode for 800 points...wondering where and when you bought one for that price.
  • Hmm im suprised no backlot I felt like it was a signature map.
  • People complaining about price need to get a fucking job.
  • I dont think its that bad of a price,if your still raking up and play on a normal basis.Me ive hit 10th and stop playing lol so i probably wont buy it
  • Vacant hell yeah just give us shipment for gods sake XD
  • Gears 2 gave away their maps from gears one for free and they changed the maps much more then MW2 did.
  • Pass too many points to drop down on just one item let alone maps that are already included in cod4
  • Why would we want to pay for more maps that we already own on COD4? If you stop paying for them, they will stop rapeing you on price. I'll stick to my FREE maps and game modes in BC2.
  • @69 correct.
  • no crossfire =(, probably saved for the final pack=/
  • I got the Stimulus pack for free from fourzerotwo, so I'll prob buy this after Alan Wake However, BC2 has really put a pause on my MW2.
  • I would play this game more if there weren't so many hackers :/ is it really as bad as they say these days? I haven't been an avid player since the huge FFA Rust hacks
  • #107 - stop going with the mob! your clearly a sheep in a big field of other sheep! who are you following. who cares if the "talent" has left IW - they will make a game from the respawing studios and we will buy that! the dlc for that game will prob be just as much. we are gamers! who cares about whats going on with the developers! we want good games! and we will get them. simple! Get your head out of your ass. i've got a feeling the people that hate on MW2 hate on it because they are shit at it! go get some practice! or just piss off and play Disneys sing it!
  • #125 what have hackers got to do with anything? they can mod there screenname? or get 10th prestige! do any of those things stop you killing them???? answer no! your clearly full of shit!
  • hmm i forget...which map was strike?
  • Well, I'm not going to say it's a rip off or anything like that, and I'm not going to compare this to any other games. The simple truth is this: In my opinion, it's too much money for a few maps. I can honestly say that I have never bought any extra maps for any FPS, period. IMO they are all simply an easy cash in and people are, imo, just plain ol' stupid to be buying them. To each his own, this is just my opinion, but I've always saved my gaming money for new titles, or DLC that actually has substance. Also, my MW2 disc hasn't been in my tray since everyone started all those care package glitches and the online game was found to be a completely broken pos. Oh, and I'm not of those "IW fails" people either, all the fault lies with Activision.
  • sorry for triple post! #121 bfbc2 free maps! haha all 4 of them! they will be dlc thats chargable with that game just you wait and see. bfbc2 is fun but its not cod. lets face facts!
  • BFBC 2, which I'm about to play upon reading this garbage, has FREE maps AND gamemodes. R6V2 had free map DLC. They should just make a DLC with all COD4 maps for a one time price of 1600 which I would gladly buy instead of these terrible revamps and new maps. If they add classic COD4 maps, they should do some improvisation (make suddle weather, daylight changes) like in Gears of War 2. They added the old maps AND also changed the scenery around a bit which made it very fun and interesting to play. It also removed the nostalgia and made it a new experience. What was so hard about doing that?
  • #129 - what annoys me these days. is that dlc is always guaranteed! they announce dlc now before they release the game! therefor the dlc should really be part of the game! total rip in that sense
  • @132 What really irks me is when the DLC is ON THE DAMN DISC!
  • #8 only way to stop this cow being milked is if everyone who says they are not gonna buy it dont but that never happens how many people said im not gonna buy the stimulus pack what a rip off, than lo and be-hold the people who said no to the map pack went and bought it. so i issue a challenge whoever says they are not gonna buy actually dont buy it instead of talking cos at the moment it is the cool thing to go on forums and call iw and activision than dont keep your word.
  • the fuel map looks an aweful lot like rust :o rofl f you think this is too muich, wait till COD : Space warfare xD it's actually a registered title xD
  • Apparently the entire gaming community bitching about the pricing on these map packs isn't enough to make them change the pricing this time around. Probably because everyone bought them anyways. I told myself I wouldn't but then all my friends got them and played them in front of me and I fell apart and bought them so I can play too. Probably gonna happen the same way with this one too. I would have felt more inclined to buy this however even if they lowered the price to $12(960 MSP) instead. I do like the two old CoD maps and three more new ones would be a nice addition.
  • Kinda tells you everyone's opinions about any of the non-beta CoD 4 maps...
  • I'll be passing. I know the multiplayer appeals to some people, but not me. There will be a ton of people buying it, and I'm sure they'll get their money's worth, so I hope they have fun on it.
  • Really?! After so many people being pissed off at the price before, they do it again :S. The online for this game, for me personally, no longer has the "Oomph" that CoD 4 had.
  • new levels to nuke noobs hell yeah!
  • @136. how did you get that Dexter pic? Gotta love serial killers!
  • WOW the activision cash cow must be getting very fat. Vacant and strike WTF. So a total so far of 2400msp for 4 cod 4 maps and 6 new ones NOT FUCKING LIKELY
  • @141 it was a promotion for the film "gamer" :). And I wish they put crossfire or ambush in :(
  • Are there going to be achievements?
  • stop saying that its overprice if they only give u 5G for playing these maps you will all be playing them and you will all stfu
  • Once bitten, twice shy. Bought the first map pack. Spawns are horrible, and does nothing but condone camping. I deleted the map pack and have been happy ever since.
  • *sigh*... I guess I won't be getting this... Carnival? WTF
  • NICE
  • @14 I know :[ my favorite map. And ambush I think it was called where you could freerun throughout the dilapidated buildings lol
  • @114 And just because you feel the need to defend EVERY MW2 thread doesn't mean it's a good game
  • well Im buying!! I love Strike!!!!!!!!!
  • @ 111 Im with you all the way!
  • You would have thought they would have stretched out the DLC a bit, it just seems that they are rushing things to try and keep the community playing.
  • All you people who are already saying they'll buy this, I take it you bought the first pack too? Yeah, you just spent $30 on 10 maps. 4 are IDENTICAL to the ones we played two years earlier. That's half the price of a brand-new game, for 6 new maps. It's fuckups like you who made the 360 into the micro-transaction bullshit console it is today.
  • haha i just laugh at these now; what a total rip off.
  • looks and sounds good keep it coming with these map packs i am so excited no complaint here the last one was a blast 5 maps same this time for just 15 bucks gotta do it if you like to shoot people and what better way then to do it on some new maps and same oldies but goodies. hopefully they will eventually get all of the cod 4 maps on to cod mw2.
  • And I'm proud to say I have a spine, and haven't bought the 1st maps 'cause my friends were playing them or whatever. Shame on all of you who did give in. Shoulda got Shadow Complex instead.
  • Yeah #156, keep buying the maps and we WILL be playing the same game we bought 2 years ago! Man, what a great idea! Paying money for stuff we already have? Why does everyone freak out about the map packs' price? MW2 ROXLOL
  • Like the first one. Im not going to bother. As much as i would like more Maps to keep me playing, I just dont think its worth it. Im going to wait for them to go on a deal if they ever do then i might get them. I think they would make alot more Money if they just sold them at 800msp. as im sure many people are holding back because of the high prices.
  • @156 couldn't agree more it is only 1200 msp this is sweet deal love fps games and this will add a lot more play time to this game and bring in some new twists to old maps cause of the new kill streaks. Im am hella stoked and can not wait I got the last map pack and will be getting this one and every other one they release the 1st second they do release. KEEP THE MAP PACKS COMING!!
  • @157 Who are you to say shame on me because I can decide how to spend my money? It doesn't mean you have 'a spine' because you didn't buy the maps. It might mean you're poor? Or you have less friends who play online than me? I already have Shadow Complex and 100% it. Sorry $15 is a lot to you and it's not a huge deal to me. And how is this paying for stuff we already have? I never played a CoD before MW2, so this is 5 new maps to me. Well worth a measly $3 per map. I hate tards who act superior because they're fighting the power by not buying the maps or something.
  • GDM: I love how people like you always have to come up with a reason like "you probably suck" as reason for people to show disdain for MW2. Could it be that it's just a glitchfest? That the matchmaking system is a joke? That instead of taking as much time need to fix their product, would rather release another map pack for fools like you? They just want money; they don't give a shit about you or anyone else. All you are to them is a dollar sign, and like a jack ass, you continue to contribute to the insulting lack of support for the community. Is it a coincidence that the community now consists of nothing but dense "adults" and children?
  • indeed, I didn't get into COD4 so good for me. 2.5 million bought the other map pack, surely this will be about the same.
  • its really sad that some fags have no pride at all...stop giving these people money and we get cheaper prices its as easey as that im quite worried about the future of gaming with all the plans for 3d gaming, digital distribution and crazy ideas about offering the final boss fight of your favorite game as DLC but lets face it as long as we got assholes like #1,2,7,12,13,15 etc... we will never see good content for good prices. instead of having real gamers pay a decent amount for decent content we have fanboys paying anything for any crappy MW2 content, its quite pathetic. and dont you scold me about how its worth the money, 1200 pts is too damn much for anything while 800 pts seems to be just right i think these maps are not even worth that i think 400 pts if that. IMO the only
  • the only content fit for 1200 pts are the GTA4 episodes and you dont see anyone bitching and moaning about their prices do you???
  • Yeah, not buying any more Activision or IW products. I haven't played CoD online since 2009 anyway. Bring on whatever Respawn is making.
  • didnt play stimulas so this..naah.
  • WOW does every one think they should be given things for free but "I already bought the game, those are old map I protest this is unfair I am not going to pay a mesley $15 for this" come on now don't buy it then it is a deal and if you don't want to buy it don't buy it. I play bfbc2 and yeah they got free map packs for vip but it is just same maps different game modes this is freaking awesome maps from cod 4 and new maps. I CAN NOT WAIT!!!
  • This is so ridiculous...$5 a map and then add 2 old maps
  • P.S. #156 your gay...#157 your perfectly right..no one tells you how to spend your money like the jack ass you are NO ONE!! you tell em 157 ROFLMFAO
  • That's right Infinity Ward. Make new maps don't fix the game.
  • call of duty sucks. in every aspect. fucking noob 1 shot kill game. bring on the hate mail
  • This is fucking ridiculous. That brings the total up to 30 dollars for 6 new maps and 4 old ones. Are you fucking kidding me?
  • #168 DONT BE A NOOB read carefully, no one has said they want FREE old maps they just say to make em a bit more affordable me? i had the points and got me a DLC worth its price tag TBOGT for GTA4 and i have no complaints you need to sit down and ask yourself seriously.. why is this so expensive? but your excitement blinds you you will mindlessly purchase this eh another swipe of the card and boom 1200 more points real dumb of anyone to buy this just saying..
  • Ergh. It's for sure a rip off. I don't even play MW2 that much anymore, mainly because all MW2 consists of now-a-days is campers, glitchers, and little kids who abuse guns. (AA-12 spray, EBR spray, UMP run and gun, etc.) I bought the Stimulus Package and I can safely say that was the worst 1200 points I ever spent. Will I pay another 1200 for 5 maps? Most certainly not.
  • *excuse me in one of my posts i meant to #161 not to 157..apologies
  • this game sucks end of
  • 175..exactly im glad you learned from your mistake i was given the maps lucky me lol but i would have rather wasted the points on something else definitely not worth the points
  • Not a buy for me, I got the first set and only realy enjoy 1 of the news ones and the old ones - which I already bought once. I think there are a lot of other games and developers who offer much more value for my money. L4D2 - new maps, new weapons, new game modes, achievements and avatar gear = 560 pts Fallout 3 - new maps, missions, weapons and achievements = 800 pts. I think I will stick with them Even Battlefield is offering new game modes for less.
  • I don't know how people can pay $15 for 5 maps. I have no problem paying 1200 msp for great content, such as shadow complex, so I can definitely afford to buy stuff like this, but it's just overpriced. At $15 per 5 maps, 4 map packs will make $60 for 20 maps. So I can buy 20 maps or a new game. I'm sorry if I am mistaken, but since when do 20 maps equal a new game? This isn't to say people can't buy it, or that they are stupid for doing so, just that $15 for 5 maps is overpriced. There is my opinion. Take it or leave it. Everyone has the right to buy the content if they wish, but I believe they are being overcharged for not enough content.
  • in other words #180 what your trying to say is that their not stupid for buying overcharged content??? ummmmmmmmmmmmmmmm lol
  • #179 hit the spot..perfect examples of great games that DESERVE the money they get and lets all face it look at reality NO ONE IS BITCHING ABOUT THOSE GAMES ARE THEY??? only bitching about MW2 hmmm i wonder what the problem is..
  • all these old COD4 maps make me wanna play COD4...
  • #181, What I meant by that is they are not stupid for buying the content, but they should know they are paying for overpriced content. If you enjoy the maps, and like playing in a new setting, then you enjoy the content, even if it is overpriced. I guess it would have been better to say paying for overpriced content is stupid when you don't realize the content doesn't fit the price tag, but if you realize the content is overpriced but still buy it since you like the game and want the added stuff, then you are not stupid. The action of buying the content is stupid since it is overpriced, but you are not stupid because you realized the price is too high. Everyone does stupid things. Just because you do something stupid doesn't make you stupid. But if you want it simplified, buying overpri
  • 1200mp is a bit steep, but i'll still get them cz i love mw2!I was hoping they would put pipeline in there tho.
  • *Continued* Buying overpriced content is stupid. But I won't directly call the person buying it stupid.
  • To everyone that is telling us to stop bitching about the prices and to not buy it if we don't like it, let me put it like this, the two map paks have put the total cost of the standard edition at $90! You all know if this game were $90 of the shelf, regardless of how many maps were included, every single one of you would be bitching too.
  • Hey here is a concept for you haters don't buy it if it is too expensive or your tired of COD or whatever the case may be but I know me and my friends and family will be buying it and playing it as soon as it comes out cause we like the game and it is only 1200 msp can't go wrong. If you don't want to good for you I don't care leaves the game to people who actually want to play the game rather then whine.
  • As overpriced as I think this is, I can't resist. A trailer park AND a carnival? : P Although, I wish they would've done Bloc instead of Vacant. But at least I'll have a new map to use my Uzi on. : )
  • i got my copy for 25 gbp so i dont much care your pretty much forced into buying the maps 1200 msp dosent seem a bad amount to pay to me i spend that a week on crap i don't need don't like it or want it don't buy it but don't bitch at people who do there's loads of games that do the same yet people still go about buying the stuff ie the rip off that was dark forest for dantes or gw2 or borderlands crap maps came for waw yet people happily threw there money at that wopidey fking do its got zombie mode which sucks balls ooo look i killed yet another zombie oo look another one over there pointless game..
  • IF MILLIONS OF PEOPLE BOUGHT THE MAP PACK, WHY ARE THERE NEVER MORE THAN 2,000-3,000 PEOPLE IN THE STIMULUS PLAYLIST?
  • I bought the stimulus pack...worst $15 I've spent on DLC. I enjoyed 1 map out of the 5. Most of my friends that also got this DLC simply deleted it off their hard drives so they didn't have to worry about getting thrown into matches on the new maps. With RDR, Alan Wake, Alpha Protocol, and other good games (and DLC) coming out, I don't really see a need to drop 1/4 the price of a new game on this.
  • its not MS that says the pricing. its IW/Activision. 1200 ms points again??????? total bullshit. maybe trading in my mw1 game was a bad choice when mw2 nearly came out. i'll only play mw2 if my buds want to play. other than that bc2 is a shit ton better. and i hate the perks in mw2. not even realistic. dice does so much better at the mp. wish thier server was better yet. but me buying the 1st map pack for mw2 was a bad choice
  • I haven't seen any problems with glitches or hacking or anything else since the first map pack came out. Are all of you mentioning those problems referring to early March and before? The only remaining valid complaints IMO on the MP in this game is the launcherfest that some maps are susceptible to, and the server issues. As for the price of Maps, if the extra $5 really makes that big of a difference to you, maybe you shouldn't be spending your time playing Xbox to begin with...
  • this is the LAST IW game ill buy since they like to rape us for our money.
  • @156. We didn't complain about GTA because they were worth the money. Rockstar added new story mode, new game types, weapons, ect... Activision is charging for old, used content that we have seen and played. That's why everyone is bitching.
  • NOOOO, not stupid strike, they should have put backlot!!!!
  • most of the hipocrites in here are going to buy it ... i bet 1200 points!
  • # 154 How about you stop bitching with the rest of your nonsense comments about us buying the maps. We'll buy whatever the fuck we want. alright? I work, i work for this money, and ill spend it the way I want to and you just need to stop commenting about the same thing, 15 bucks isnt a big one like someone said about 3 Halo Maps for 800 w/o bitching? So how is this any different?
  • They need to make a map pack of al the other cod4 maps. And then make Cod4 coremode and Cod4 Hardcore mode.
  • The gamers who flat out love Modern Warfare's MP will have no problem with the price of this again. MW2 launched with 16 maps at $60, so $30 for TEN (10) maps isn't that bad. Sure, there is no Spec Ops missions or even more campaign chapters, but you know majority of the people who purchased MW2 only care for MP. And the amount of time gamers get out of the game, you know the gamers who actually ENJOY the game and not bitch about it, get hundreds of hours out of it. I logged 42 Days played on COD4, and it only stopped going up when MW2 hit.
  • Absolutly won't buy it.
  • I'd consider some sort of offer pack (Stimulus Package & Resurgence Package for 1600 or something) But Ā£20 for 10 maps that you can't play with anyone who doesn't have them, naw...its hard enough to get a decent lobby going as it is without limiting the player pool further. IW should work on making the game run better online before trying to prise my hard earned cash from me with a few maps.
  • I bought Stimulus solely because I had a week-long MW2 binge (I usually think the game is shit). I'm sure if I somehow get myself into another of those, I'll pick it up, no complaints.
  • screw that, even more too expensive maps AND cod4 maps? Please.
  • 3$ for new maps. I don't mean to be rude, honestly, but its just new textures and landscapes for the exact same game, is it really worth the 3$ each just to have a few fresh maps?
  • its actually ironic "Rob" Bowling.. :p
  • Do the math. Halo and WaW came with 3 maps for $10. $3.33 per map (yes WaW came with Nazi Zombies as well). $15 for 5 maps is $3 a map, yes two of them are remakes but its still 2 new maps in terms of playing them in modern warfare 2.
  • Vacant is probably going to suck on MW2 because of the fact that shotguns are secondary weapons. Many people already used shotguns in in this level for CoD4.
  • Pass. You could get a copy of COD4 for the price of these map packs. Better value too.
  • $60 for MW2? OK, I can deal with that. $90? no way. Activi$ion and IW keep pushing the envelope with this series and it's finally gone too far for me
  • Fuck that lmao. And will you fucking children PLEASE stop replacing S's in companies names with $'s? You look like immature little shits trying to look boisterous.
  • #111 You do realise you're doing the exact same as the people you chastise, except in the opposite way? The door swings both ways, bitch.
  • At this point it'll be cheaper to wait until they release a GOTY Version of MW2 and then trade in your old Copy to pick up the new one...god I hate Activision.
  • The audacity... The pack doesn't even have Crossfire...
  • Yeah, I'm not gonna buy this...Either!
  • what the hell all i want is bog to come back not these other shitty maps
  • yeah there are better things to spend $15 on but when it comes to dlc for a game i think this will be well worth it... i mean who wouldnt want to kill people in a trailer park or a carnival.
  • Again. Recycled maps and a hefty price... Fuck off IW
  • CANT WAIT, i bought MWF2 ON day 1. aND GUESS WHAT I GOT 1 WEEK FREE ONLINE THAT IW GAVE ME. BUYING THE NEXT MAP PACKS ON DAY 1 ITS A REALY GOOD DEAL....
  • so. 1200 points because of all the fucktards that bought it the first time. Thnx a bunch, it could be 800 for this one. and no, the amount of people that bought the game are not the majority. Atleast 10 million copies were sold for the xbox, probably way more than that. I think it was around 3 million to 3.5 million that got stimulus package? i dont know if my maths wrong, but 6.5 > 3.5. and yea, its a ripoff. Im getting red dead redemption, so i don't even know why i waste my time even looking at this.
  • Won't be buying this. No matter how much content IW will release, it will still be a crap flawed game.
  • Not doing it. I've found that I prefer the old maps to the "new" ones from the last rip off package. 1200 points is just way too much. Wish I could get a refund from the first map pack. Oh well. Live and learn. Preorder Red Dead Redemption from Game Stop as soon as I post this anyway.
  • I hate DLC.
  • As much as I complain about this game, I think about how much time I've spent playing it on PC with friends, and it's totally worth it. Yes Activision are a bunch of assfucks, as are IW, but I admit, the new maps have thus far been fairly decent. $15 for extended entertainment on a game I already enjoy a bit, or $60 for a new retail game that will entertain me for half the time?
  • they should make the "old" maps free for xbox and charge us only for the new maps.......make those people on ps3 pay more....eff them!
  • sounds really good but the only prop is vacant i hate that map
  • the new one's sound pretty cool, Carnival there better be a ferris wheel and game stands that'll be pimpin and trailer park lol. just sounds like it'll be funny.
  • Pass before and pass again. $10 for maps packs was too much to begin with, $15 is outrageous. Makes me want to go back to the PC and support the devs who offer these kinds of updates for FREE.
  • Vacant? as much as i dislike paying for maps I freaking love that level. Count me on this bandwagon, I still have to purchase the first five so I'll wait for a deal when the 2nd releases or pick em up at the same time, i'm in no rush.
  • Looks like I'll drop the bomb on my buddy tommorow he'll be dying to play/pay for new maps since thats pretty much the only game he plays on his Xbox.
  • #231 it aint gonna happen dude none of the other CoD games have let their maps slip in terms of "deals" so your looking to see a 1200 price tag for quite some time.
  • VACANT FUCK YEA
  • so...a total of $90 dollars so far for the game, 4 OLD maps, and 6 new ones...come on people...stop paying for this crap....that is a rip off
  • Ā£30 for 2 map packs with 4 maps that i already own with my cod4 this has just got out of hand i could go buy a whole new game for that. times like this make me glad my 360 is flashed haha activision i got your game for free.
  • Total rip-off i can afford them but not going to waste my money on more old maps and a few new ones again!
  • End off the day! everyone here can whine all they want but a fucking mass of people will buy them (including me) even though it is a ludicrous price tag!
  • @98 I assume you mean 'whiny 12 year old Americans' because that's all I ever hear. Oh and I'm 17 and Scottish, so I'm not trying to defend myself, I'm just correcting you. Reject.
  • these ppl are taking the piss they could of just give u the 6 new maps in one dlc and charged 1200msp but instead they take the piss out of us the ppl that make them what they are and split em into 2 dlc costing a mighty 2400msp the actual same amount of money i payed for the actual game on the day of release hows that work out as value for money on 6 maps and as a result i will now buy nothin, we are making these ppl mega rich and they are laughing at u for doing it and kick u in the balls again and again U MUGS!.
  • Love both these old maps, I'll def get this
  • Pass
  • lol
  • must buy
  • Waste your money on a game that was ruined by hackers/glitchers and people paying to get to 10th level prestige! Morons!
  • I dumped Call Of Duty for Battlefield theres no way i will be tempted back buy some OVER priced DLC. I thought IW was dead its only that Twat Bowling thats still there.
  • #233 - WaW map pack one was 400 points just before MW2 launched.
  • Modern Warfare?.... Nope, never heard of it. :P
  • In definitely getting. It's funny how people that aren't getting them give the same excuses or reasons
  • all of you fatass' that say 1200 msp is too much, you faggots use that money on stupid shit and some people like mw2 and choose to spend THEIR money on map packs so fuck off and find somthing better to do than bitch about it
  • @ 239 im an american living in london and i get people all from the uk and i think its safe to say that every 12 year old is anoying no matter where you are
  • @249 : that's because they are doing the same thing as last time. Same problem, same reasons. Dont be a dumbass. And yeah, i own CoD4 so why the hell would i rebuy a portion of it? i would have no problem if it was 800 points, but this just isnt worth it.
  • MW2 is a fun game, but it isn't a good game.
  • I know me & my whole MW2 gang will be picking this up!
  • COD 4 & 5 for me. If only they'd stay on top of the glitches and at least make 5 LOUSY MAPS CHEAPER.
  • I wont be buying either map pack. With that being said, I don't think the game is broken. I think that the shitty people who hack, cheat, mod, or whatever ruined it for everyone else. I really don't blame the creators of the game. I thought the solo campaign was one of the best games I have ever played. I would spend 1200MSP on some DLC with more solo campaigns or special ops. PS: Since all the bags of douche now play MW2, World At War is virtually free of hackers and is much more fun to play.
  • That's a shit load of comments...
  • #161, I'm not poor. Judging from your profile, I own almost double the amount of games you do. Maybe if you stop buying expensive map packs you'd be able to afford a new game every once in a while, no? And, no, I said shame on you because it's your kind that's turned the 360 into a console designed around micro-transactions. The irony of the title "Stimulus Package" probably went right over your head as you punched in your 25-digit prepaid code, didn't it? PS. go drink bleach.
  • Another rip off but a must buy for me.
  • too expensive, iw is fucking rich and still they cant sell it for atleast 800 msp, or as they promised, that there was going to be free map packs too, but i dont see any =S
  • way to fuckin expensive i wish they would make all DLC for xbox free
  • this game is shit will stick to skate3
  • 200msp a map seems too much idk why but halo knows how to sell something to their fans even though it was more expensice. i reckon its their engagement in the community though whilst infinity ward sits on their backs thinking they are all great when in actuality mw2 wasnt that good. how long the care packagee glitch rampage through mw2 for? and the matching making lag sorry infinity ward has lost its touch. cod4 hell yeah but mw2 no fuck off. i just give it a thumbs down anyway im not buying and if they intergrate the news maps into the normal playlists like they did in cod 5 ill trade it in for battlefield.
  • yeah there are tons of spelling and grammar - (that might be spelt wrong there too) in that message i know what i was daying at least =P
  • Personally I love how we are getting 5 maps in a pack. It's a hell of a deal. I don't care that two are from a previous game, they are new to MW2. I find the nostalgia value and the addition of variety to matchmaking to be well worth the price tag. I honestly hope other games follow this model. What it comes down to is ultimatly how much you like the game. If you like it buy it, if you don't go elsewhere.
  • If you were to make 37 million dollars on one map pack wouldn't you make more? Do I agree with paying 15 dollars? No, but I buy them anyway.
  • Activision doesn't care. For one guy that says he won't buy it because of the absurd price, 4-5 of his bucktoothed inbred neighbors will.
  • COOL!
  • I always so no, I'm not going to spend $15 dollars on the maps. But I know when they come out I will.
  • I'm not buying them...they need to go back to 800pts. I didn't buy the first and I wont buy this one.
  • Seriously? Why 1200..why not just 800 like most games?? Fuckin money hungry nazis.
  • I think a lot of people who are sooo avidly supporting this type of price gouging are missing the point....It's not that we feel everything should be free, or that all dlc content should be cheap. What we believe is that dlc you pay a high price for, should be worth the price you pay. That "value" should not be because you are a fan, morons... Many games/dlc are available on xbox live, and a good number of them are worth the money you pay for. It only happens that this game, along with a few others, fall into that trap of having fans who are sooo blindly devoted to it, that if it was a dick, they'd suck it too, along with paying an outrageous price for 3 more maps. And to those who wanna say "no idiot, it's 5 maps"....it's 3. You cannot sell me on a nostalgia value or some stupid defen
  • You cannot sell me on a nostalgia value or some stupid defense like that. 3 NEW maps is definitely not worth 15 dollars. Throwback maps should either come out on their own seperate pack at a very very very reasonable price (400-800 ms points, depending on amount, like 6 for 800 at max) or be completely free, as a reward for the continued support of this "modern warfare" game series. Don't try to bullshit me with 2 old maps and 3 new ones for 15 bucks.... And no i'm not poor, and yes I have a job....15 dollars means something to me....its not just chump change to waste on corporate bullshit...I utilize my brain and make intelligent choices when making purchases, I don't just indulge....maybe others should learn the same, yes? Things just might be different....but you would never know if
  • you didn't try..... yessssss 3 posts in a row....someone is gonna be pissed and cry :)
  • i wish they were cheaper. 800 points sounds more reasonable but then again most of the time in a map pack you only get 3 maps so its not so bad i dont guess.I liked all of the stimulus maps so ill prolly be getting this too.
  • CoD MW2 Needs online Achives And some new Spec Ops Missions 15 Dollars is not worth These damn maps Fu IW
  • haha another 1200...i regret getting the last map pack, no thanks. i'd rather save my points for some RB/GH songs than this rip off
  • As I said in the previous news post about this subject...anyone who buys this should really be shot on sight. The people who buy this are the cancerous growth of the gaming fans, who'll buy anything because of brand loyalty. And don't say that they're all new maps, because they aren;t. A 40% ratio of old maps rehashed is NOT good content, nor price. No doubt most of the people who WANT the old maps still own CoD4...so if you love them so much...play them on CoD4 for free, instead of buying this crap, and telling activision that you're happy to hand over your hard-earned cash for something that you'll quickly get tired of, and something that is horrendously overpriced. Case and point; Gears 2 map pack bundle. 21 Maps, plus new campaign chapters WITH achievement. 1600 POINTS MW2 map pack
  • @278 MW2 map packs = 6 new maps, 4 old maps. 2400 POINTS, the price of many retail games, WITHOUT achievements. Funnily enough, Activision can keep the anal lube, because quite frankly, I'm not one to be bent over and f***ed by greedy developers, thank you very much. Oh, and off topic, CoDWAW...someone stop the modders, they're ruining my nazi zombies >.>
  • its so simple its frightening if nobody payed 1200 then u would never see 1200 ever again and they would keep it at 800 but becasue we are all so stupid we pay up and they keep pushing the price up saying hell if they are willing to pay 1200 then lets see if they will pay 1500 next time we need to get to together and make it happen or we are all gonna get screwed.
  • This answers the question as to have Infinity Ward learnt from their mistakes? NO.
  • @266 "No but I buy them anyway" See that's the kind of attitude that makes Activision think this is acceptable ! #278 / 279 makes it very clear just how much of a rip off this is. These packs should be 560 tops !
  • LOL! When I moaned about the price last time round, somebody said: "Fuck off and go play COD4 if you don't like it!" So I did, and regretted buying MW2. I hardly ever play it now! TBH, it's not even IW anymore...
  • @ #213 You look like an immature little shit trying to look boisterous yourself for using 'fuck' ten times in a row.
  • im getting bored of cod but im still a major fan.rdr and alan wake are too good to be put aside.but i will buy black ops
  • Not only is it 1200, but there's no Pipeline! Vacant, Strike? What the hell? I'd have passed anyway though.
  • If they released the maps individually or something like that I'd consider buying them. I just feel like most of the new maps will go unplayed alot because the rotation seems a little messed up most times when I play.
  • i wish they would of had double xp more when i was not tenth prestige
  • attn. everyone... STFU already. Buy the map pack if you want to. Don't buy it if you don't want to. Either way you're no more special or idiotic than you already are. That is all...
  • besides doesn't microsoft decide how much stuff on their marketplace gets sold for? That's what I've come to understand anyways... lots of developers want to put up content for free/cheaper but Microsoft won't let them?
  • "besides doesn't microsoft decide how much stuff on their marketplace gets sold for?" Somewhat. I'm sure there are negotiations when a developer wants to set a price, maybe using exclusive content (timed or otherwise) as the bargaining chip. They have forced companies to charge before though. Epic gained a reputation for giving away side content free of charge for a decade, was able to do it once for Gears of War 1 (if I recall correctly), it sold lots of downloads as expect, and Microsoft refused to allow it again.
  • The GOW map pack that was free was actually sponsored by Discovery Channel's "future weapons" show if I remember correctly. The free L4D content that came out was sponsored by "Drag Me to Hell". It seems that if it's free it's usually sponsored (paid for) by some company or another.
  • Cod:Mw2=Fail
  • yaaaaaaaaaaaaaawn
  • Not worth it without achievements
  • agree with # 295..
  • YAY, Vacant is back, best CoD 4 map for every game mode. Strike is good too. @295 - DLC shouldn't be about achievements, it is about extending the playtime of a game, so of course no multiplayer achievements, and no extra spec-ops, as if you bought this game for a single player or co-op experience, you wasted your money.
  • i would of wished they would of brought over creek instead of vacant....
  • i have to say im surprised taht shipment never got ported but vacant should b good
  • Ill pass this crap. IDC about MW2 anymore. IMO,that game is crap now. COD4 FTW.
  • i thought the stimulus package was great. ill definetly be buying this
  • @ 1 I'm a sucker too I told myself I wasn't gonna buy stimulus then I drove all around town looking for MS points since all the stores were out a day later. Yay for Target always having what no one else does!
  • This is ridiculous... first of all BFBC2, I like the game but HATE how much fanboys are saying "FREE MAPS" YOU ONLY HAVE 4! Plus free game modes? Onslaught DLC is going to cost you money! Seriously if you have come here and comment with the intention of saying BFBC2 is better... get lost! Its a freaking MW2 news post. Back to the map pack I will be buying this first day... Vacant and Strike were great maps and the new maps look pretty sick! And @1 Same here :P
  • I just bought the first map pack yesterday and I guess I'll be a sucker and buy this one as well. I'm a big fan of CoD Map Packs...pretty much have all of them for the games that are out.
  • http://card.mygamercard.net/community/xba/gunner044.png NO
  • lol no way im buying this, first map pack was terrible, glad i did not buy that. just wondering why so many people still playing this shit
  • I am an idiot, but the game is great. A definate buy.
  • $15 for some maps is just too much.....I'll wait till its on sale
  • I can NOT believe so many people are giving activation MORE money? what is wrong with you guys ? by paying $15 for 5 maps, you guys are going to be the ones who make ALL DLC coming out $15 an it seems like everyone is ok with that...IT IS NOT OK TO PAY $15 for 5 maps! HELLO? FIVE MAPS = $15 ?!
  • map pack 1 STILL had camping spots. kinda hope black opts does wat bc2 did. that is blowing buildings down. i have also bought map pack 1 for mw2. i was highly dissapointed. u can camp ANYWHERE on that, which is a bunch of b.s.
  • I'm sorry, this game is one of the best last year, and I'm very good at the game - enough to enjoy it - but it's just.... it's just that with all the glitches / hacks, cheap MP and the terrible community that plagues the game just gives me the impressiion of how a load of SHIT this game is now! And I CAN'T FUCKING BELIEVE how some of you people will just "be a sucker" and buy the maps, when you people probably don`t even know the meaning of "milking" and "inflated pricing"! PUT IT THIS WAY: Epic, after putting out 3 MPs (3 for Comb., 4 for Snow., 7 for DC), put them ALL in a combo pack a year ago, for 1600 MSP! In CND, that's $23-4! With their latest update, they lowered the price ALL THE WAY DOWN TO 800 MSP, or $11-2!! That's like lesss than a $ for a map, even in CND! EVEN BACK THEN FOR $20 WAS IT A STEAL! I'm sorry, but with the way that Epic does alot of commmunity support, and fair DLC pricing, they make Activision / IW look like a bunch of milking pricks, which they are! Can't wait for Black Ops, hopefully that won't be under gay Activision's hands too much
  • ^ And I'm talking about Gears 2 of course, which, while it took over a year and a half, is in a league that I think MW2 - as much as I like the game still - will probably never reach, not with the bullshit-priced DLC and the situation that transpired. Too bad those preps/jocks (I am a bit, but I'm actually a hardcore gamer so I'm more intelligent about it), little 7-8 YOs who shouldn't be playing the game and get the MPs off their 'rents, and the casual gamers, won't know SHIT of a difference
  • Should i waste money for maps i already have in my other cod disc ...no
  • I forgot I even have this game, moving soon, to the trade in pile it goes!!
  • I hate when people say "the flashback maps are stupid because I already own them on CoD4" yeah you can go ahead and go play CoD4 with old graphics, guns, and killstreaks. Face it if you like MW2 and you liked playing CoD4 then you will be pumped about playing on all the old maps in the new game. Also about the price CoD4 you paid 800 MS points for 3 maps. 400 more points for 2 maps thats 1/2 price and 2/3 the maps so the retro maps are actually cheaper. saying that you will pay 800 for 3 new maps.
  • I can't even find a hooker for that price im sold!
  • @ 111 Couldnt have said it better myself...Nicely well done...
  • A definite purchase for me. It's only 1200MSP for 5 maps, why the hell are you people moaning? Tight much? Pfft..
