While I already almost have it paid off, this guarantees a day-of-release pick up. @ 4 - Retail only has Single Player and MP for now. There may be co-op missions but it's not a co-op story. |

@15 First off, the game doesn't take place in the "Old West" days. It's in 1908 - 1911, when those days were in their death throes. Secondly, the gattling gun was introduced in the early 1800s. Thirdly, they will also have automobiles and machine pistols in Red Dead Redemption. |

@#27 I've seen quite a few folk bash GTA IV with the very same reason you give and I have to say I just don't get it. Niko et al run/move with a sense of gravity. They don't run around like they've got ice skates on and I, for one, love that. I spent hrs and hrs messing with the physics in Rockstar North's masterpiece and I was always delighted with the effects they caused. My hope is Redemption will be as good as, if not better, than GTA. Fingers, toes, arms and eyes crossed. |

| @#25 I don't think that rule actually exists, because the DLC for Gears of War 1(published by Microsoft themselves) is free and it does have achievements, worth a total of 250 gamerscore. Another example is the free DLC from BioShock, this also has one achievement. I think there are other examples out there but these are the ones I know. |

| I think its awesome how the game makers have every one brainwashed. Free DLC my ass. This is just like selling you a cake, but with a piece cut out. Then giving you the piece for free and calling it a bonus. They couldn't pull this shit off before the advent of fast internet connections and game console hard drives, but now its becoming mainstream. This is an absolutely brilliant marketing strategy, but make no mistake, you are not getting 'more' than you're paying for. |

This sounds effin sweet! @39, its free, and it has achievements, and it comes out in June, which most of us will still be playing it to death, its a bonus. Bioshock and Gears 1's "free" dlc wasn't always free, they cost me money when they came out. The only free anything i've ever seen with achievements are those stupid promo games like dash of destruction. Wonder how many achievements they'll add...hated GTA4, but this looks like somethin special.... |

Free DLC + Achievements? I think MS will have something to say about that. Didn't Valve try to get their DLC for the Left 4 Dead games free but because they had achievements they couldn't do that? Anyway, this is BRILLIANT news and if you think about the game coming out on either the 18th (US) or 21st (EU) then we do not have very long to wait until the start of June at all. Amazing, GOTY no doubt about it. |

@ 35 - In no way am I bashing GTA. I love the series almost in it's entirety. Vice City and San Andreas slowly started taking on this "floppy" movement. By GTA4, I really didn't see much difference between being drunk in the game and sober aside from the visuals. I'm sure i'm exaggerating but it was mainly with foot travel. I'm opposite with the vehicles. Most of my friends complain about their pickup speed, turning and braking but I adapt to that very well. Just as well with helicopters. There were SO many times in free mode tho that when you were always getting shot right away b/c of that delay in starting to run. Could be just me and those that complained. Still keeping hopes high for RDR. Rockstar, Valve and Ubisoft top my Devs list. They listen to fans. |

| I am really starting to wish they had just made this game exclusively multi-player and left out the whole John Marsden single player experience. Don't get me wrong that part looks cool too, but multi-player is just looking better and better in this game. I wish they had at least made it so you could have a companion or two controlled by a friend in the single player. I don't mean to be a downer, but I really don't know when if ever I am going to even crack the seal on the single player, multi-player looks too good and too much fun. |

@#53 so nice to get a response to a difference in opinion without it starting shit! TOTALLY agree with what you say about the vehicles. I loved the way they handled. My friends did not agree. They wanted to navigate every corner with the handbrake. Fools. To this day I still get a kick out of thrashing a Blista thru the mean streets of LC. Wonder how the horses in RDR will handle?? Feel your pain bout being shot in MP whilst doing that slow turn/waddle turning into a run. GTAIV is my fave game of this generation but the MP could definitely be improved. I did spend countless hrs in free mode tho. Good times. Really can't wait for this game to release. Starting a posse and roaming the west will be awesome. Wonder if you can rob banks and such? |

@39, this makes more sense, since its online co-op and you have to have online to get it, so what if takes up a little hd space. Saves space on the disk and original install if your not playing online. @80 Also crackdown and soon to be crackdown 2. |
