Rockstar today announced that Red Dead Redemption will not only boast an expansive single player mode and a robust multiplayer arena, but the game will also receive free DLC in June in the form of a series of co-operative multiplayer missions.

The "Outlaws to the End Co-Op Mission Pack" will offer Red Dead players 6 unique co-op missions for 2 to 4 players and as well as adding new achievements, you also get the chance to net yet more multiplayer XP.

Of the 6 missions, Rockstar found time to detail three of them today and they include; "Walton's Gold," where players must take control of a mining camp, load a mine cart with gold and escape before the place blows; "The River," which tasks players with rafting down a river, taking out a rebel camp and making off with their weapons cache; and "Ammunition," where players must storm the gates of a town and destroy the artillery placements.

If Red Dead wasn't looking tempting enough already, adding another mode is just a cherry on top of what is looking like a great package. You do have to wait till June for this mode though, but at the end of the day, it is free.
