I hate paying for extra downloadable content... the whole idea of blowing even MORE money on a game I already paid out the ass for is... unsettling...
Lucky for them LFD2 is so good... guess I need to buy some microsoft points. :( |

@ 4 - Negative. That DLC was always supposed to come out after The Passing. One of the original 4 is going to be dead at the start of The Passing. The L4D DLC that releases will tell how the originals came down to the south and how whoever it is will die.
@ 11 - According to Valve, at least it's not 1200 points for a rehash of 2 maps and 3 new maps. It's 560 points for a new game mode, new story elements, new weapons, new enemies...that's a whole lot of new stuff for a cheap price tag.
I think it's well worth the wait even IF they delay it again. Don't want the same glitchyness from Crash Course (FU MS) |

Because you can't buy 560 points, if it was decent, like 500, you can buy that on the site.
They can't have that. People actually not having spare points to waste on useless junk they wouldn't buy otherwise. :P
As good as this sounds, I think it's shit that there's DLC for this and L4D (soon), if you own and like both games it's just more money.
Just doesn't feel right buying this DLC, then not too long in the future them releasing DLC for the older game which you will then feel compelled to buy aswell.
Plus I can't help but feel that this will give those folk that were going on about them releasing L4D2 so soon after L4D another thing to complain about tbh. |

@ 14 - Why not pay 800? 560 seems better don't it? It's also b/c Valve WANTED it for free but good old corporate fat cats like MS, EA and the likes GOT to have a profit margin! At least Valve is fighting to keep DLC below standard costs and giving more than you bargained for.
@ 19 - Do you people even think at ALL? Yes, it's more money. But would you rather them release a whole new $60 game that feels the same? IF L4D2 didn't have an extra campaign, actual storyline, new vs. mode, extra sp. infected - I prolly would've waited til a pricedrop. But even the morons who "Boycotted" STILL went out and bought it. It's a good f'n game. I'm happy to pay for cheap DLC for more gameplay. It's way better than dropping the retail price, eh? |

| @ 25 - Valve is one of the few Devs that fight to get price reduction or even Free DLC. L4D1 saw Survival mode for Free and then MS started breathing down their necks for Crash Course which Valve got recuced to 560. |

I just think it feels a little cheap for them to make DLC for both L4D games then release them close to each other, (or at least supposed to be released close to each other), when they should know that probably most people who own one of them will own the other.
Then again, replying to you is gonna be pointless.
Just look at your other comments in this news section, you're clearly just a Valve fanboy that will jump on anyone that you don't agree with.
And in #20, I don't know what the little second part about dropping in price is, I did get it on release day ;)
