Even More Halo: Reach Details Touch Down. Loadouts, Weapons and More

Richard Walker

Bungie has trotted out even more tantalising details for the Halo: Reach Beta, confirming that Armour Lock definitely wasn't an April Fool, some lovely visual upgrades will feature and a selection of weapon loadouts will be available at the beginning of each multiplayer round.

For instance, the Air Assault loadout gives you an assault rifle, magnum and jetpack to start off with, whereas Operator will give you a shotgun, Expert Marksman starts you with the deadly scoped DMR and Grenadier puts a grenade launcher in your hands from the off.

In the same list of updates over on Bungie.net, the differences between the Elites and Spartans are also detailed, and the Elites are much more fearsome than they previously have been in past Halo titles: "We’ve already said that the Elites found in Halo: Reach were never meant to conform to the noble notion of equality. For far too long, our Sangheili brothers have been leashed – their very backs burdened by the weight of multiplayer parity. They hunched, bent to the whims of human anatomy," runs the description on the site, meaning that the Elites will be somewhat tougher than their Spartan counterparts.

They're bigger, faster and possess superior shield technology to the Spartans, able to move at a similar rate to a Spartan in full sprint, and they're also able to evade, making them incredibly agile. Their health also recharges fully rather than in sections like the Spartans, and their shields also recharge significantly faster. Surely this will make things severely unbalanced though, won't it Bungie?

Over to Bungie's explanation: "So, how are we gonna work them into multiplayer? Well, in a number of ways. In some circumstances, like Arena, you’ll only square off Spartan vs. Spartan or Elite vs. Elite. In others, well…stay tuned."

Looks like we'll have to wait to find out more about how Bungie plans to handle Spartan vs. Elite battles.

Halo: Reach's multiplayer Beta begins on May 3rd, as if you didn't already know.

  • They are changing the gameplay in Halo Reach too much, all these features hardly seem fair.
  • looks nice
  • I play as an Elite anyway, always have done since Halo 2; now, I feel, I won't be the only one! :D
  • Sweet
  • 'Been discussing these changes on the B.net forums. I'm reserving judgement until the Beta, although I'm dubious.
  • Im realy looking foward to this, I hope bungie dont screw this up, it seams to me like there making it too complicated but we'll just have to wait till May 3rd untilwe can see how it pans out.
  • Bungie will balance it all. ~Bryce
  • This is sounding more like section halo 8... jetpacks and loadouts and all
  • Glad there is a beta because with all these changes it can turn out good or bad. Feedback from the beta will make it great I hope.
  • RIP Halo.
  • I have faith in Bungie, so I will not jump the gun saying it with be ruined.
  • Yes! I've always wanted a difference between Spartans and Elites in MP! Just hope they can find a good balance.
  • Change is good! For too long now the halo series has been stagnant resting on its laurels and not really deserving of its status compared to other fps! The ODST gameplay changes were a good decision in my books!
  • Lets just wait until the Beta :D This looks like a good idea except i hope they balance it out with Elite Vs Spartens. All this New ideas coming into Halo Reach hurts my brain i hope they can make it all work and have something in the game for everyone.
  • I like the idea of loadouts, now i will actually be able to have a decent gun instead of having to race the whole team for it.
  • Zomg this is going to to be so awesome... Can't wait!!!
  • Have to see what they do with the elites, as they sounds pretty unbalanced right now. Love the loadout idea. taking some good ideas from cod
  • @ #11 Yeah right, because what's contained in this article will kill Halo. Use common sense for once, kid. Between the beta, patches, and Bungie's track record of providing good multiplayer, I have no doubt that this will be a quality game. It'll sell well enough to be a financial success, but I'm sure all the ignorant haters will still say it fails and that Halo is dead and that a dead horse is being beaten.
  • Big fat meh, seen it all before. If I get it it'll be purely for the campaign.
  • It's a nice balance, I feel. It's like the Humans and Chimera in Resistance on the PS3. There were definite advantages to being one or the other, but it never ruined the experience of the game. It was a great balance. With Bungie, I think they can do what Insomniac did x10. They are a strong company in the FPS department, and knowing their past products, they don't disappoint. I'm really looking forward to this installment.
  • Sounds like they are heading toward a COD style...I guess $1 billion is sales is a good reason why.
  • I just hope this is still halo....
  • @20 :: What do you mean? This is finally something else then all the previously horrific titles in the Halo series. Finally I'll get a Halo game for the multiplayer again!
  • I love you Bungie. I have faith, and I have my £40 at the ready.
  • I've actually changed my mind. All these new features are really cool if Bungie is able to balance it. Except for the Armour Lock, that still sounds like it's going to ruin the fun in multiplayer. But of course the campaign will be awesome, it's not all about the multiplayer:)
  • Bout time Elites become the badasses they actually are. And it's balanced enough. Big target = stronger. Small target = weaker. Doesn't get much simpler than that, kids.
  • I know that whole Halo:Reach Chess thing was just an April Fools joke, but for some reason, there's a part of me that actually just wants to try it, if only once.
  • As overpowering as Elites are, I don't think they'll get the luxury of the armor perks.
  • Finally! The Elites regain there proper title as the strongest fighters in the series!
  • Grenade Launcher? Oh god Halo, why.
  • The Elite things scared me alot. I know that Bungie must try something different to compare with todays markets. It seems like they are going just a liiiiiiite~ overboard becasue one of the things I really hate are 'class' systems or in this case 'load-outs' where you start off with a weapon and stuff for you. If this is JUST for the demo and it's 100% customizable in the full game (in a simlilar way to say BF:BC2 or MW2) then I guess it's ok but to me it wouldn't feel like 'Halo'
  • The class system as the potential to ruin the game, especially with the DMR and shotgun being starting weapons.
  • #31 It's called the Brute Shot, ever heard of it? It's been there since Halo 2. A Halo game WITHOUT a grenade launcher seems strange now.
  • Now. About the Elite thingy. It feels cool giving them an acctual differance, especialy in size, but I don't like where this is going. I counted and there's 7 things they do better than a spartan. Now as cool-io as that is don't you think EVERYONE is gonna be an Elite? Although they mentioned 'Arena mode' and others as well. That kind of shit just brings my piss to a boil. I swear, if they have game modes that are randomly chosen, and you can be ONLY a Spartan or Elite. I'm going to be unbelieveably pissed. Phew. OK, got that off my chest. Now, these are all the speculations on what's said above. I bet all these things will blow over and I will hardly notice them in the full game. Hope you're doing the right things there Bungie.
  • #34 I agree totaly. While it's a nice addition it's hargly a grnade launcher that he's probebly thinkin of. I'm guessing he's thinking of a mounted G. under a gun. In fact it's more like a thumper. Slow, numble, and one shell a round will, hopefully, make it balanced. Also why would there be a Gravity Hammer or any brute weapons in Halo: Reach if it's in the past without them? Maybe it's just mor multyplayer's sake. Nice.
  • So far I'm NOT liking what I've been hearing for Reach's MP. I'll reserve judgment for after I've played the beta enough, but so far this is not sounding terribly good to me. Originally I was thinking that Reach would be the last Halo game I buy. (Regardless if this really is Bungie's last Halo game or they make more) Now I might just skip it entirely.
  • @35, do you think Bungie are stupid? Do you think they'd let you have elite vs spartan without balancing it in some way? Have some faith, they're masters at what they do.
  • Oh, and the beta will be out soon enough. We can judge then :)
  • Can't wait for all of you worrying about Bungie ruining Halo to be playing nothing but Reach and proclaiming it to be the best Halo ever.
  • sweet hope this is good.
  • Definitely gonna be a different kind of gameplay altogether online and campaign which Im prety excited about.
  • I always kept hoping that the online would be more diverse in just this way.I also REALLY REALLY wanted them to put Brutes and Jackals in the multiplayer mode as well,so it isn't just 99% Spartans and 1% Elites like it is now.Of course, everyone (mostly) wants to just be a Spartan,so I think that giving certain enemies some perks would make people want to be more than just another face in a sea of a million Spartans and choose an alien instead.
  • I really like this idea, I found the one thing that infuriated me with this game was the weapon pickups. It was essentially a game of who managed to get to the power weapons first. Weapons loadouts are the way to go with shooters IMO. Worked for RTCW, CoD4, the Battlefield series. Weapon pickups are a thing from the past, it's one of those things you see in shooters just because that's the way shooters were from the start. I'm very glad to see weapon loadouts are making their way to Halo and I do very much like they way that you can use everything from the start so new players aren't severely disadvantaged. The only things you unlock in Halo Reach are the cosmetic aren't they?
  • @36 Actually, the brutes have been part of the Covenant for the entire Human-Covenant war. The reason why you don't see them in Halo 1 is probably just because the ships at the first Halo ring didn't have any Brutes or drones aboard.
  • I'm with you X Venom83 X, Since Halo 2 I've wanted to play as a brute. (pretty obvious from my picture) I don't know about Jackals, but more playable races sounds like a good thing to me.
  • Nothing too exciting in this bit of information...
  • I agree with #12, I trust that Bungie will hopefully not spoil this.
  • I love these little ignorant kids saying things like, "taking tips from COD" or "Making it more like COD, I guess a billion in sales will do that" Know your stuff before you talk, Halo > COD in sales. To be more accurate HALO >>>>>> COD in sales. Don't compare a great franchise of HALO to scrubby newb tactics of COD.
  • You do realised Modern Warfare 2 has broken several sales records?
  • @31 Dumbass
  • I am not worried, halo 3 ruined the series... it can only improve.
  • Nice...
  • Halo is dead, long live MW.
  • And Halo continues copying MW2. Whats next? Killstreaks? Upgradeable weapons? Special Grenades?
  • @54 What? How is Halo dead? Silly boy.
  • This looks very good.
  • @ 54, Halo isn't dead. They just updated it to 2.0 ~MONK3Y
  • #50 MW2 is one game.. im talking halo vs cod in sales... at#55 you're right, because plasma grenades arent special grenades and havent been around since halo CE.. tard
  • cant wait
  • Oh, and for the record, here's the xbox/xbox 360 sales records for the two: Halo 3 - 8.1 million Halo 2 - 8 million Halo: CE - 5 million Halo 3: ODST - 3 million 4 games, 24.1 million sales. MW2 - 7.5 million WaW - 3.35 million MW1 - 4.2 million Cod 3 - 1.5 million Cod 2 - 1.4 million 5 games, 17.95 million sales. Of course, MW2 will probably sell a lot mroe and overtake Halo 3, but then who knows what will happen after that. With IW and Activision having all these troubles... And I also suspect that Reach will sell at least as many copies as Halo 3, maybe even more.
  • I prefer weapon pickups. Then, people wont spawn with power weapons and it encourages teamwork. A couple of ideas from COD or other similar shooters wont completely ruin Halo, but they shouldn't stray too far away from the core gameplay
  • Not liking the sound of weapon loadouts. I can already see everyone just spamming snipers or X overpowered weapon like they do on battlefield. Always liked the way everyone started on the same level so that skill decides who wins, not who has the best weapon. Like the fact that elites are more interesting, spartans are boring now.
  • @ #1 - Evolution. You can't progress using the same exact formula over and over. Change is inevitably good.
  • I'm digging the loadouts. It looks like they will be keep the power weapons out of the loadouts (aside from customs, but anything goes there), which sounds like the way it should be, so there are battles for the Snipers and Lasers. As for the Elites, I think for multiplayer they will balance it by making their health lower or weaker Hit Points in general, making them swift but fragile
  • WOOT
  • Halo Reach will be the game of all time!
  • for all the people bashing the new elite and stuff, um hes still a bigger target than the spartan, so if he moves just a bit faster it seems pretty balanced and like they said the loadouts are just there to spice up the gameplay online. i mean they arent going to be fully customizable, they are going to be different ones for each gametype. and for all you people who are saying halo is better than cod or vice versa, they are two different games, just stop bitching about it and try to not make enemies. honestly being the winner in an internet argument is like being the smartest kid with down's syndrome. you may have won but you are still a retard.
  • For those worrying about balance with Spartans and Elites, didn't they already state in a previous update that it will only be Spartans vs. Spartans and Elites vs. Elites? Of course, the multiplayer trailer shows Spartans vs. Elites which could be a gametype. I'm not sure if I'm remembering correctly or not.
  • its about time they redid halo
  • Bungie is really good at balancing there games, I think Halo: Reach will be fun
  • @68 Well said. I am hoping that they give some bonuses to each race to balance things out. Having them both be able to do different things will make this an exciting situation. Especially for single player considering I was able to beat ODST on legendary the night I got it.
  • Bungie has always been good at balancing things out so i trust there judgment and the load outs are bungie specified not player, next bungie also said that elites and Spartans will never face each other in the arena maybe will get a spartan vs elites double exp weekend playlist or something
  • If anyone feels this isn't going to work well, just say something when the beta comes out. Bungie listens.
  • Hopefully with the Beta Bungie will be able to balance all these new additions. However I do not like the idea of custom loadouts. I find that a lot of weapons are ignored when you do that. I would go play MW2 if I wanted custom loadouts. While Halo does need some changes, it feels like Bungie is making too many. As for the the changes for the Elites, hopefully Bungie will add some advantages to the Spartans as well.
  • I like the loadout ideas thats pretty cool, so you dont have to race the team for a gun, and i think halo will now be more tactical with this too, and the elite vs spartan thing is kinda sketchy, though it does make sense for them to be stronger and all, i just hope halo isnt ruined there really hasn't been a good halo since 3.. after that, all the sequels and prequels were not to good. still can't wait for the BETA!
  • @ #68 Warning people not to make enemies by posting THEIR OPINIONS shows what you really are, a troll. If you can't handle other people having opinions that differ from yours and you wanna start fights over it, go elsewhere, you're not wanted here. OT: I think this is going to far. I fear for the perfect balance Halo had for so long. Bungie obviously realizes they've milked Halo to the point that they need to make changes to compete with other games, but this is just too much. This game will no longer be "Halo".
  • Loadouts are a terrible idea, unless there is no power weapons in them. Halo always had weapon pick ups and if they had loadouts where you can have what you want it will be just like cod and bc2.
  • I'm excited for this, hopefully they will Spartan/Elite only playlists and then a few playlists with Spartans vs. Elites. Nothing more annoying then trying to get a headshot on an Elite in SWAT. Now it sounds like its going to be tougher to do! Either way, I have faith in Bungie to make a quality game as I loved all their previous Halo titles. Bring on May 3rd!
  • so now Halo is going the route of classes? that seems kind of against the halo experience
  • I lik how so many ppl hate the weapon pickups. It worked for cod and bfbc because there were no weapons that were highly over-powered. In halo, the shotgun, sniper, and sword are one-hit kills in the hands of even a mild player. If there are custom loudouts, make it so you can only customize armor abilities and use the simpler weapons like the replacements for the AR and BR. And if they make it so you can use the power weapons, have them be dumbed down so you still have to pick them up on the battlefield. As for the elite improvements, if you haven't been told yet, the spartans you play as in the game are Spartan III's, not Spartan II's, like the Master Chief. The Spartan III's were more expendable, being picked from a wider pool of kids (read the halo book Ghosts of Onyx on how these S
  • you dont have the choice to be an elite all the time... ~_~ only in specific game modes
  • @81 cod? no over powered weapons? ... rethink that statement, also disagree as all one hit kill weapons have counters
  • Spartans were raised) The elites probably won't get armor abilities, and the Spartans might even get extra ammo and grenades. Bungie would not release a game if they did'nt think it wasn't balanced. PS #79: I'm a 50 in SWAT, and I never had a problem with an Elite's head as long as the host's connection could handle the capacity of said game. PS to all: Don't pick out the small details of my comments for berrating, just express your opinions on my ideas.
  • @83, i've used every weapon in the game, and they all have their uses and their balancing. The assault rifles are the average gun, medium ammo capacity, strength, range and mobility. The sub machines have more speed, but are less powerful, so are meant for the ppl who run and gun. The light machine guns are heavy with high ammo capacity. the snipers have high range, but low ammo capacity with very low effectiveness at short range. And if your thinking about the models, then try using them on derail in the forest and open areas and see how many kills u get. :)
  • Bungie has never messed anygame up. EVER. I dont think this will change now.
  • Come on people do you guys ever read anything. All the power weapons are pickups. No ones going to spaming a sniper or anything of that sort. Geez sometimes I wonder why people feel they can complain when they purposely limited there own knowledge.
  • And by the way, when i played halo 3, i could kill a shotgunner with the sniper at close range almost every time, how is that not over-powered. The sword was in check by the shotgun, but the greatest snipers could kill anybody with one hit, without scoping. And, most ppl believed the BR was too powerful as well, but they hav already announced that that has been downgraded. It was the only weapon that everyone wanted to use, because it killed faster than any "normal" gun.
  • @87, I haven't been reading too much on this game, i'm just making assumptions on wut bungie's doing to mak the game balanced. I still didn't believe these jokers when they said that snipers were going to be class weapons.
  • @88 I could kill shotgunners with sniper at close range because i practised with the sniper until i could do that every time. And ignoring the models, the scar is incredibly overpowered, m16 is overpowered, many other weapons are overpowered. Cod has terrible balancing. everything in halo has a counter, and if your skillfull you can counter just about any weapon.
  • @76 "there really hasn't been a good halo since 3.. after that, all the sequels and prequels were not to good" There has only been ODST since Halo 3 so I have no idea where you got the plural from and yes it was not too great. @81 "It worked for cod... because there were no weapons that were highly over-powered" Best joke I've heard this easter. @88 The gun I always wanted in Halo 3 was the Carbine, regardless of whether it was actually better than the BR. I don't know why it just seemed more likely that I was able to make every shot hit, ultimately killing quicker. But that's just my opinion.
  • This will be the game of the year in my opinion! I've loved Halo since it started. my fav series.I do like the idea of having differences about Elites and Spartans because clearly by looking they are different. Bungie will make it all fair don't worry. It all comes down to Player skill anyway. I like the idea of loadouts and what not so just have faith in the best company on this planet. Reach will be a good game. Its not for everyone yes but if youre a Halo fan, then you might like it a lot. Give it a chance anyway.
  • GERNADE LAUNCHERS WHAAAAAAA????????? NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO WORST HALO GAME EVER
  • People never give anything a chance. You won't customize your loadouts, Bungie sets them to the gametype's standards. You won't choose to play as a Spartan or Elite, Based off the gametype, they will pit Spartans vs Spartans, or Elites vs Elites. If not, I'm sure they'll balance it in the long run. The full article is a good read, if you actually want all the information possible. I'm a Halo junkie, but I need to give credit for CoD for a great title as well. Que continued fanboy war.
  • @90, I always run out of ammo at the worst times with the scar, and the three burst guns are just like their real world counterparts, unlike most of the others that have been dumbed down, and i forgot to mention i only play hardcore, core takes too many shots for me to even enjoy it. @91, I also prefered the carbine, but not every map had one like they had the BR, and you also don't hav a game mode where you start off with the carbine :(, but a lot of ppl who are mild players cannot use the carbine because they can't hit with every shot like the BR, and the BR shoots three quick shots every pull of the trigger, but a talented player with the carbine can beat out the BR, but only if they hit with every shot, it takes around eleven shots with the carbine, it takes four trigger pulls with
  • the BR, and three shots from the BR are faster than the carbine, but with twelve versus eleven, the carbine surpasses in speed. @93, In halo, it takes two grenades to kill you, so you don't have to worry about random grenade launcher kills like cod. @94, Love the comment, I like halo and cod equally, but both communities are too hateful. All the communities for competetive games are full of spit between players. I wish there were fps games that had communities that were similar to Runescape and World of Warcraft, there are only a handful of ppl that need to stfu, and they can get banned for stuff like that. :))
  • all these changes and additions could be either really good....or really bad. just have to wait and seeeee..
  • AAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHH they have noob tubes!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  • @ 31. Dont worry. The grenade launcher will be alright. It wont end up like modern warfare and modern warfare 2 and all the faggots with their noob tubes. Why? because they're all infinity ward fanboys and think halo sucks. Which it obviously doesnt. . . So dont worry about the grenade launcher. Besides it cant be much different than the brute launcher. Dont worry. Place all faith and trust in Bungie.
  • load out classes sound pretty familiar to Section 8... how did that game turn out again?
  • We all know that Bungie is basically perfect at balancing games. This will work out. From the sound of things, I doubt you can just choose like "Spartan or Elite" for something like TDM. For a regular death match game it'll probably be all Spartans or something. Then you'll have an attack and defend game type or something, like the one they showed in the trailer where it's all Spartans vs. all Elites.
  • bungie is going all out for their last halo game, hope its as good as it should be in the end
  • all the fan boy crap for both games just shut up. Halo needs to change if it wants to keep up with other games. There are huge downsides to all games so stop defending like your lives depended on it.Halo is much to slow online and call of duty has campers. No game is ever going to be perfect so just take a damn chill pill and wait and see how it all plays out.
  • at least there won't be quickscoping sniper rifles, and UMPs, and akimbo shotguns, the3 things that ruin cod, bring on halo reach!
  • I'm really annoyed at halo at the moment. I don't like the online multiplayer and am regretting the day I put the game in my console atm! So guess what.... I won't be getting this!
  • Read about these on Bungie awhile ago. I think everything sounds like it'll work in the end except armor locking. Being a Halo fan since day one, these are indeed some serious changes to the franchise, but everything has to change eventually. If this game tops Halo 2 I will cry.
  • i think they are adding so many new things it might even wreck the game
  • This game is gonna be bad ass :D
  • Does this mean we can't create our own loadouts? I think it's a good idea. It'll stop people making nooby classes, but I wanted to pick my own ability. Anyone agree?...
  • Yea, this game looks awesome as
  • I. Freaking. Love. Halo. I am getting this and I trust Bungie to balance everything out. That is all :)
  • Show a little faith. Bungie knows what they are doing.
  • The more I hear about Halo: Reach, the less I want it. I loved Halo 3, and I was looking forward to this game. But the armor lock, and now this? I liked how there weren't loadouts and everyone started with a basic assault rifle. Now, everyone is going to be running around with shotguns and grenade launchers. They're starting to make it too similar to other games out now, and I have a feeling that the phrase "noob tube" is about to show its face again. I just hope Bungie knows what they're doing.
  • @ #112 Bungie has only shown knowledge in one very specific game type. There's no faith to be had when that game type is being modified so much. This is all new to Bungie and WILL create balance issues. That's not to say they wont fix those issues after release, but they will be there. Also, armor lock? Seriously? This is the dumbest thing I've ever heard. It's something that can't really be balanced and still usable.
  • the armor customization looks so tight along with all the cool new features like new weapons, jet packs, perks, etc..
  • I will reserve judgment for the Beta. The way they make things out, Elites will rape Spartans. Hopefully there's something they're not telling us. But for now this game screams "unbalanced". I'm not worried yet though.
  • Hey, it's Bungie.
  • And I just realized I made comment no. 117, cool.
  • Ok im FORCED to say this, did you NOT read the weekly update? Quoted directly from the weekly update, "In some circumstances, like Arena, you’ll only square off Spartan vs. Spartan or Elite vs. Elite. In others, well…stay tuned." So did you watch the Beta trailer? I certainly did NOT see many spartans shooting at elites and vice-versa.the only time i saw that was under invasion, like when the two spartans are assasinating the elites in the hallway? LOOK AT THE BOTTOM RIGHT IT SAYS "INVASION" And we only get a couple of seconds in Elite action anyway.
  • And the "LOADOUTS" Atleast they are cannot be player edited, because sure you can spawn with a shotgun, but damn you have no other guns! And sure you can spawn with a jetpack but you wont be given a sniper, so getting into jetpack spots will most definitely make it dumb because you will have a bit of a weaker gun.
  • as of nr. 10 "Glad there is a beta because with all these changes it can turn out good or bad. Feedback from the beta will make it great I hope." The beta will show if things are balanced or not. and if not? they'll figure it out in the beta. Also, yeah, 117/118. funny. spartan 117. now for spartan 458, eh?
  • @#16...I agree. No more 12 year olds screaming @ you because you took "their" sniper rifle. LMAO.
  • Every piece of Reach info that drops on B.net frightens me. Everyone is equal in Halo MP at the start up until this new game comes out. I want to fight over who gets camo or rockets or whatever and not have someone spawn with it all the time. I hope that once the allure is over and people have had their fair share of Reach then you all come back to Halo 3 because I don't want to face tryhards and 5-stars for the rest of my life. Also, IMO there should be a rule that you need at least 1000 EXP in Halo 3 before you can post your thoughts about Reach.
  • this sounds so dumb - no even close to being on par with COD - whats the point of loadouts if u cant create ur own - wolfenstien and many other games before it (battlefield) all sucked bcuz u cant customize ur loadout and get the same boring 4 choices everytime
  • Sounds good to me
  • Hello Everybody as some of you know bioware is a holding an onlien auction tommorow and if you could clink my referal link it would get me some extra tokens to use, id greatly appreciate the help, heres the link http://social.bioware.com/brc/1066231 once again thank you very much!
  • THIS IS FUCKEN STUPID.... THERE ARE TWO TYPES OF SHOOTERS IN THIS WORLD... HALO SHOOTERS, AND COD SHOOTERS... THEY'RE BOTH GOOD (HALO'S ALWAYS BEEN BETTER THO..FACT NOT OPINION).... SO WHY FUCKEN MIX BOTH.... NOT SAYING I WON'T BUY IT, BUT THEY ARE GOING TO LOSE A LOT OF SUPPORT... I MEAN HALO 3 WAS AND IS THE MOST PLAYED MULTIPLAYER GAME AROUND, EXCEPT WOW I GUESS... HALO WAS ALREADY PERFECT... CHANGE WOULD ONLY FUCK IT UP...
  • AND THIS WHOLE THING ABOUT ELITES BEING STRONGER FOR SOME GAY REASON... UM LAST I CHECKED ONE FUCKEN SPARTAN KILLED EVERYTHING IN ALL THREE HALO GAMES BEFORE REACH... SO IF ANYTHING THE SPARTANS SHOULD BE STRONGER... EITHER WAY IT'S GAY... IN HALO 3 EVERYONE PICKED THE ELITES BECAUSE THEY'RE HARDER TO GET HEADSHOTS OFF OF... NOW THEY'LL ALL PICK THEM BECAUSE BUNGIE'S A BUNCH OF FUCKEN QUEERS AND MADE THEM SUPERIOR IN EVERY WAY TO SPARTANS... FUCK YOU BUNGIE.....
  • #126 FUCK OFF FAG... AND ANYONE ELSE WHO REPLYS AGAINST MY SHIT....
  • You start off with either a shotgun, grenage launcher, sniper and no other weapons or grenades??!! IMO you should be able to choose your loadout, which has mayb two or three rounds as well as having your standard weapons, OR, the loadout weapon replaces your sidearm (pistol, plasma charge thing) I think these announcements are very exciting and i have no doubt Bungie have any balancing issues under control! LONG LIVE THE SPARTANS!!!
  • @128 Quiet child, if your going to rant do it properly. I personally have 100% faith in Bungie and I think they will do a good job with Reach. And to everyone saying "THEYV CHANGED THE GAME TOO MUCH BUNGIE RUINED HALO", if they kept it the same you would complain just as much.
  • How about we give #126 the ban all the spammers get?
  • I look forward to everything Bungie is doing with Reach. The Elites SHOULD be different and I'm sure they will be balanced in one way or another. They are bigger, making them bigger targets, and maybe they'll get some kind of handicap, like not being able to use certain Human weapons or something. Or Spartans will have some other advantage, IDK but Bungie has been know for balance.
  • To everyone saying they are going the CoD route, I'm pretty sure other games had loadouts before CoD.
  • Woot! Can't wait for the Beta!!!
  • mmmm am not liking this... this will end up like MW2... hated by the MLG players
  • I'm digging the loadout options. This should make for a different pace.
