The RTS genre may be fairly niche and frankly, unrealised on consoles due to the inferiority complex that the controller has in comparison to the mouse and keyboard combo. Honestly though, those control issues are a thing of the past, as Halo Wars and numerous other developers have proved there are advantages to using a controller. Chris Taylor and Gas Powered Games' Supreme Commander 2 is the latest title to give those naysayers the two fingers as they bring the sequel to their hugely popular SupCom franchise to the Xbox 360. I say bring, but truth be told, the original was ported across sometime back in 2008, but it was a forgettable experience at best so we're doing what any normal person would try to do... suppress the after affects of a shoddy port. Can the sequel's console version finally do the franchise justice or can we expect a broken mess of a game once again? Read the definitive Supreme Commander 2 review here to find out. | |
