I'd rather have a game where the developer doesn't shoot his mouth off about what the game is going to have and then give us a complete fabrication of what he told us a few months prior.
Sorry but Molyneux has burned me more than twice and three strikes = You're Out.
-The "co-op" in Fable 2 was so ridiculously dated that it played on Live as it would on Split Screen.
-The choices/differences were nothing like he explained in terms of the reaction of the world. Is was 1% over the original Fable.
-The Project Natal idea is the worst especially for a game like this. Of course, i'm sure everything will be back to standard controller about a month before release when everyone has already pre-ordered both the game and Natal.
-The "Orb" MMO idea went to shit about 3 months in when people |

Fable II has sold over 2.6 million copies as of this time last year. It was a critical success as well. The first Fable posted similar numbers. Please tell me how that's a "failing franchise". Seriously, learn what you're talking about and quit projecting your own feelings onto the rest of the gaming community.
Anyway, John Cleese is great. I was happily surprised to hear him in Jade Empire, and I was raised on Monty Python's Flying Circus and the movies. X360a should stop posting news stories today because nothing will top this. |

#26, if you dont know who he is then you should, one of the best actors ever is the short version, look him up for the long version.

Regardless, yes mostly personal opinion but certainly not alone on it. The MP was horrific especially all that he promised. Not saying it failed. It's trying to skate by on gimmicks which sadly the gaming community eats up like Calvin to Chocolate Frosted Sugar Bombs.

Stop trying to point out the obvious as if it's something profound. You have stated that Fable is a "failing series" and is "skating by", yet the indisputable facts/numbers trump your opinions. Fable and its sequel are successes, and if you haven't noticed, the majority of the opinions expressed in response on this page are not just positive, they're glowing. Have all the opinions you want, feel whichever way you feel, but don't assume you're in the majority or that your opinion equates to a fact.

Not at all sir. Everyone's entitled to their own opinions. I don't judge it but in point of fact of Molyneux, he's shortchanging everyone. I absolutely loved the OG Fable and even gave Black and White a try. The hype for Fable 2 (i went thru all the Web Diaries and trailers I could) and maybe overy-hyped myself but compared to the first, it didn't hold the same candle.
I semi agree with the length although I was mixing up side quests as well then just boomed for the end.
I mean when you promise (yes, he did) that your MP is going to be full of magnificent surprises, at least give something up to date. It was a same console co-op system over Live. Didn't ruin the game but it certainly brought it down some notches. |
