This should be no more than 400 points especially for a game which was junk

Eh, i was expecting it to be 800msp. Not so bad for people who really like the game.

My friends and I had high hopes for this game, and after the demo we we're so very disappointed. Is the single player as bad as the mp demo was??

It's not the worst game, it's worth a rental at least.

But obviously there's no reason to buy maps for it.

The SP is quite good fun in my opinion apart from the Marine campaign. Haven't tried this online yet but can't really be bothered with any DLC for this one

Whenever DLC comes out this fast its usual content that was cut rather than an actual add-on -_-

So this is only for people that didn't buy the SE? What was the point of buying the SE for then (yeah I know you get them free but still).

Technically you're saving a few quid if you buy the normal version of the game and then buying the DLC separate because the special edition is £50 so you're being charged a tenner for the DLC that way.

I bought this game yesterday and am properly regretting it now, the aliens just dominate online it's ridiculous.

I love the game..... for single player and survivor, in MP you get like one kill then straight away someones just standing behind you then kill you and then everyone just may as well start a que =P

This game doesnt need a map pack, totally unnecessary imo

Another game where the special edition is deemed completely useless within a few weeks of it coming out. Assassin's creed 2 did this as well, really unfair for people who actually bought the SE. Not that i bought this game, it doesn't sound very good ;f

They should concentrate of patching the broken mulitplayer that takes ages to get into/or find a game. Also the Marine campaign is way too dark and buggy.

The textures in this game are horrible.

Pity. Really wanted this game to be awesome. It should have been more like Left 4 Dead but with aliens and preds. Something more polished with a co-op marine story.

Does anyone take the time to read the posts? It wasn't cut from the game it was special edition dlc previously unreleased. You either want it or you don't. I personally have a hard time hating any game regardless of how bad in comparison to some more mainstream titles it may be. It's also very unfortunate people allow dlc to make or break a decision for them, but in this case I can understand that choice what with the minimal content available. If your upset with the price don't be a sucker and drop the cash right away "M$" expects that of it's users unfortunately.

#5 - The SP game is really good, the online is OK...but not great (it was never going to be a COD/Halo MP clone) plus the demo was a bad example of how the game works as it was the worst MP level and the worst MP gametype.

Dont believe all the rants on these comments - try it for yourself because i too thought the demo was crap but really enjoyed the full game, so go rent it!!

ps. Cant comment on DLC - dont have it

@14 I agree. It takes way too long to find a ranked match.
Also, there is no system for when the host leaves. No Xp or nothin

Good thing I shelled out for the Hunter Edition. I get 2 Face Huggers and I don't have to worry about this map fiasco.

Right then, lots of posts where people are attempting to express their personal opinions as fact......

I emjoy this game and the survivor mode is great with friends. The SE was out of stock for me so I'll get this just for the survivor maps.

The game was good, but not good enough for me to buy a map pack, I'd rather buy the extra RE5 costumes or wait for the SFIV avatar gear.

@26: When mainstream titles like Call of Duty have map packs with 4 maps for 800 ms, how can you complain about this? If 800 is the standard, 560 is a bargain.

@Anyone Saying To Patch The Game First: Seeing as how these maps were already made and put in the collector's edition, I don't think it took much effort putting them on the marketplace. They do need to fix how it takes a few minutes to find a game.

Well, with Final Fantasy XIII out today and Perfect Dark coming out soon, I'll wait for this. In a few weeks, I'll pick it up.

I got rid of this game last week after defending it against the naysayers - finally got fed up of waiting 20 minutes for a match only for the host to leave.

Worst online, ever.

@21- Smartest post of anyone on the board.

@5- The game isn't bad, it's just not great either. The single player is a blast, including the Marine levels. If you didn't want the Marine levels to be really dark, then you don't know what an Alien game should be.

The only thing that really bites about this game is that the multiplayer takes a year to get into a match and then the host always leaves. Which is a real shame because some of the online modes, such as Infestation, are just plain awesome. If they could patch this up the game would be money.

Don't listen to all these people who think every game released needs to be game of the year material. I said it for Ghostbusters and I'll say it for Alien vrs. Predator, "The game is nowhere near what it could have been, but if you lov

The sad thing is AvP 2 for the PC is a far better game then this and it came out 9 years ago. Better story, better level layout and better characters. Also Marines had limited night vision mode, why Rebellion didn't have that in this AvP game is be on me since there first AvP game had it.

@ #35

Rebellion has been in a downward spiral ever since releasing the first AvP. How they've managed to stay in business is beyond me. They're the reason I had zero hope for this version of AvP, and judging from people's response, Rebellion didn't let me down.

I love this game, but I feel a little ripped by the DLC to be honest. I don't think it adds achievements so I don't mind skipping. Honestly I would of considered buying the limited edition if it was available in Canada. But why bother supporting them when they didn't support us?

They made it 560 msp b/c if you look at where you buy them with credit cards in order to get 560, you have to buy double....you'd just be 60 short. Trust me, they thought this out before introducing it. But I don't blame M$, I blame the dumbass consumers for buying all the damn DLC. Maybe if we all refuse to buy DLC EVER, then they'd stop CHARGING FOR SHIT THAT SHOULD BE IN THE GAME REGARDLESS! And don't start with the "if you don't want it, don't buy it" bullshit either. Mommy and Daddy don't buy my games and DLC, I do.
