Awww, that sucks. I mean i agree with them but it's like a kick to the face for PC gamers. Still, gotta say i'm really excited for this one!Saturday, February 13, 2010 @ 08:55 AM
Oh well. Game looks alright. Gameplay reminds me a little like uncharted 2. Dont know why ???Saturday, February 13, 2010 @ 09:02 AM
And Remedy said that or Microsoft? Either way I can't believe they turn one venue of income down. There IS still a lot of ppl playing games on PC believe it or not. Lame! I would defo get it for PC for better graphics and now I'm stuck. Thanks for taking freedom of choice away^^Saturday, February 13, 2010 @ 09:05 AM
Feel for the PC fans out there its gonna be a good game just hope they have an Xbox :)Saturday, February 13, 2010 @ 09:14 AM
GFWL is a fucking joke anyway... The support team dont give a shit once they have ur msp no matter how glitched up a game is ie. wont even load despite having a pc way above the spec required!!Saturday, February 13, 2010 @ 09:57 AM
And here I was looking forward to the quad core support they had planned with crazy environmental physics :(Saturday, February 13, 2010 @ 10:00 AM
Boo! PC gamers get no love :(Saturday, February 13, 2010 @ 10:28 AM
Poor decision to turn down the revenue, and to be fair many people play PC hooked up to their Flatscreen HD TV, so it's basically JUST LIKE a console! Can't see how they've come to that decision, especially when PC's are waaaaay more powerful than Console's can dream of being. Still, I do own a 360, so should be a Day 1 puchase/rental (finances permitting) :-)Saturday, February 13, 2010 @ 10:35 AM
this is bull!! you can easily hook up your controller to the PC .. WTF ?!Saturday, February 13, 2010 @ 10:50 AM
Wow that sucks especially after seeing it announced on the PC for such a long time, whatever doesn't matter to me I'm still getting it on the 360.Saturday, February 13, 2010 @ 10:53 AM
bet it's just a gimmick to sell more 360's to ppl. who really want this gameSaturday, February 13, 2010 @ 12:01 PM
I ? Alan Wake ?Saturday, February 13, 2010 @ 12:32 PM
@#2 ur dumb lol @#12 where have u been!?! anyone else know the name of this site? i think it has "XBOX360" in it somewhere, dosn't it? if so, who realy cares bout PC games? this is a good move for XBOX360 console sales. i switched from PS2 to XBOX when fable came out. it just looked soo awsome i had to play it. so i had buy an XBOX. nuff said. and considering the way things are going for sonys more famous "exclusives" cough cough FFserries cough Metal Gear cough. i think anyone who dons't have a next gen console yet, and wants one, will be leaning toward the 360. and Alan Wake will help out alot if the game plays as good as it looks.Saturday, February 13, 2010 @ 12:34 PM
"We ultimately realised that the most compelling way to experience "Alan Wake" was on the Xbox 360 platform, so we focused on making it an Xbox 360 exclusive." Cha-ching. Someone just got a humongous bonus for an exclusivity contract.Saturday, February 13, 2010 @ 12:38 PM
That is total horse sh*t!Saturday, February 13, 2010 @ 12:39 PM
I thought they confirmed this like three months ago? Oh well, at least I didn't still have my hopes up and I probably would have bought it for 360 anyway.Saturday, February 13, 2010 @ 01:03 PM
#13: Maybe the name of our site doesn't fully show what we offer anymore, but it has been our identity since the achievement system was announced. Since then we have evolved into a news outlet, preview/review source, screenshot gallery... and yes, GFWL achievements. Should we ammend our name, or simply ask that people not be ignorant and take into account that everything we offer is for the betterment of the achievement system and the community that supports it? I'm thinking the latter.Saturday, February 13, 2010 @ 01:22 PM
agreed with you Alan, a name change wouldn't work though X360GFWLA.org just isn't the same. back on topic - I never knew it was even considered for PC as far as i was aware it was always a 360 exclusive.Saturday, February 13, 2010 @ 01:37 PM
Boohoo, PC Gamers get lots of titles we don't get so whats the big deal here? It's still not sure if it's not a big blender..Saturday, February 13, 2010 @ 02:55 PM
@#13 "ur dumb lol". Are you a retard ? Why put "lol", its not even funny !Saturday, February 13, 2010 @ 03:09 PM
@#14 So... Microsoft paid to keep it off their own platform, the PC? What? No.Saturday, February 13, 2010 @ 03:23 PM
They just decided the dev costs weren't worth the revenue, no matter how they explain it.Saturday, February 13, 2010 @ 03:37 PM
@#22 I reckon you're right. The chances are that although it would sell to a few PC gamers the vast majority of people who play this game will be on Xbox 360. I don't know if Silent Hill Homecoming was released on PC but I wouldn't be surprised if it wasn't for the same reason, not enough demand to meet the production costs, or to get a big enough profit.Saturday, February 13, 2010 @ 04:33 PM
@8, what revenue? The PC gaming market is dominated by piracy, and a lot of developers have pulled out of releasing games on the platform in recent years, as well as those who put little effort into pc games (such as EA). Platforms like Nintendo DS and Wii are the same, but the difference being Nintendo have tens of millions of little kids lining their pockets. The minority of pc gamers who have systems that can run games at similar or superior graphical quality is already quite small, and I wonder how many of them just Torrent games these days?Saturday, February 13, 2010 @ 05:01 PM
News suggesting that M$ is trying to weed out PC gaming and head towards the 360 more so?Saturday, February 13, 2010 @ 05:06 PM
thats great news :DSaturday, February 13, 2010 @ 05:11 PM
I don't feel sorry for gamers that go around blindly bashing a system they never played. I'm glad this is an exclusive, good job Remedy, good job. For PC fans, no one cares what console hating mongoloids think so waste your time flaming me, I'll be enjoying this game as any other true gaming fan on the 360.Saturday, February 13, 2010 @ 06:07 PM
Can't say I'm surprised. @26 how is it great news? And what the hell is with the PC gaming hate in general. Gamers these days can't just be gamers, they have to be ravenous drooling fanboys. Not all of you but some of you...wow just wow.Saturday, February 13, 2010 @ 08:03 PM
On a sidenote.....Play.com have the Limited Collectors Edition for £39.99. Use Quidco and get 4% cashback.Saturday, February 13, 2010 @ 08:07 PM
@28 Say that to the PC elitist that do the same thing to console gaming then call us ravenous fanboys. I agree with 26, this is indeed great news.Saturday, February 13, 2010 @ 08:38 PM
"An eye for an eye makes the whole word blind." Super cliche especially now it's in MW2 lol. But still a good call. Anyway I'm glad I'm enjoying playing games on 360/ps3/wii/pc and handhelds. Never a shortage for me! Quite the opposite don't have enough time to enjoy it all :-]. Oh and I get to play the first game to have 2000 achievements! http://www.xbox360achievements.org/game/warhammer-40k-dawn-of-war-2/achievements/ rock on. Alan Wake looks epic.Saturday, February 13, 2010 @ 09:33 PM
Oooh, that sucks... Oh, well...what can ya do?Saturday, February 13, 2010 @ 09:54 PM
Thats such a blatant cop-out. Anyone who wants to play a game on a larger TV screen doesnt have to use a 360 or PS3. It's fairly simple to hook a PC up to a HDTV, my laptop is permanantly hooked up to my TV and its not even an expensive TV, also about 2 years old now. Why dont they just say what they mean? The 360 version will sell far better than the PC version, so why waste money developing a PC version when most people with PCs have a 360 anyway. Not that i care as i dont own a PC worth gaming on, but still....Saturday, February 13, 2010 @ 11:42 PM
please don't flame me, and I did NOT SAY that I hate this game, but I still have no clue what the hell this game is about...Sunday, February 14, 2010 @ 08:19 AM
@34 I also am curious about that... I guess we'll find out on may 18.Sunday, February 14, 2010 @ 10:44 AM
Why is there so much hatred towards PC gamers? How are the platform wars still raging on?? I assume most people playing games these days have at least two, maybe three of the four main (handheld not included) platforms. I play games on my computer, Xbox 360, and once in a while when it's worth it, my Wii, and if I could afford a PS3 right now I'd probably have that too. @26 ... "good news"? Really? What a great attitude. Gamers of whatever preferred device should support other gamers. Our medium is under attack from enough sources, it doesn't need to be shit on from within. Yeah, I can play it on my 360 if I choose to, but I was really looking forward to Alan Wake on PC. If your memory goes back about 10 years then you'll know Remedy is only a relevant company because of their PC breaktSunday, February 14, 2010 @ 12:17 PM
I have 360, PS3, Wii and any back cat console you could care to mention, but PC is, has been and always will be my home for gaming. Playing on PC FPS's are superior, RTS's are superior and RPG's are superior. My 3 favourite genres. It's plain and simple. To say some games suit the couch better seems ridiculous to me, if it's a good game i'll play it on my PC.Sunday, February 14, 2010 @ 12:19 PM
@36 I assume your sentence ends with the words Max Payne? In that case I agree with you 100% Max Payne is a legendary PC game, grimace and all ^^Sunday, February 14, 2010 @ 12:21 PM
@36 Wow, another person that doesn't seem to realize that your precious PC platform has fanboys that pretty much do the same to Console fanboys. Spout hatred towards PC gamers all you want, your opinion doesn't seem to rely on the millions of PC Gamers hating on every other form of gaming. Don't want to take my word for it, fine look at the main sources that fuel hatred at console gamers. www.actiontrip.com www.gamespot.com I hope more people drop PC as a gaming platform so i can laugh at these people some more. lol, great news indeed, great news.Sunday, February 14, 2010 @ 02:37 PM
"Some games are more suited for the intimacy of the PC, and others are best played from the couch in front of a larger TV screen" - have to say this is a load of crap, I play both 360 and PC on large screens. Unless your playing from your laptop, or your too cheap to buy yourself a nice sized monitor, not many PC gamers are playing on small screens these days. The last lan party I went to the smallest screen was a 30". Stamp a big fail on their excuse.Sunday, February 14, 2010 @ 04:14 PM
didnt they say this back at e3 last year? i swear this is really old newsSunday, February 14, 2010 @ 06:54 PM
This makes no sense. They really must think that they won't sell enough PC copies, because they design games on computers!Monday, February 15, 2010 @ 08:11 AM
@#39 You want games to fail. Therefore you shall fail.Monday, February 15, 2010 @ 08:12 AM
LOL!! Game consoles FTW!! PC sucksMonday, February 15, 2010 @ 09:20 AM
Aww I was looking forward 2 100% this two times :(Sunday, May 16, 2010 @ 07:30 PM

Previously confirmed to be in development and coming to the Games for Windows Live service (meaning it would include achievements that would apply to your normal Xbox 360 gamertag), Microsoft has now confirmed that the PC build has been cancelled and the game will be a true 360 exclusive.
