| I don't think this is a bad idea...I'll miss the orbs but as stated in a video game I have "A truly evolved man moves with the times" and I think Fable is progressing in a direction that will make it stand out somewhat [not too excited about the COD style health bar that ME2 also uses but hey, at least it's something different] |

if its worked well for them with the first 2 fables, why change it? they are fixing something that isnt broken. they are going a stupid route with it, esp with natal.

| im not pissed off at all either, the RPG elements of Fable 1 and 2 were not the strongest points, since your characters were maxed out long before the end of the game anyway! and the HUD was basically non existent in 2 anyway..I liked the mention moleneux made about the level of your weapons being attributed to gs, which would mean that performing tasks such as killing an innocent rabbit could actually increase your weapons abilities |

Somehow, this makes me think that Fable 3 will include either spending a lot of time to get followers, or being really, really quick and easy with getting followers, only to have any items/weapons etc. be upgraded in just a handful of different ways.
Meh, I'm just afraid that Fable 3 will not reach its full potential, just like its predecessors. |

Streamlining fable? Isn't that like telling an anorexic that she could stand to lose a few kilos?
Turning it into an RPG might be nice. Especially one where giving a shit about the characters helps the story. Did anyone worry enough about the wife/hubby in Fable 2 to pick her at the end? | I agree with 18, but i dont like the rest i kinda like the kingdom thing but your character should be separate, like a better kingdom means better equipment but your own person should develop on his own, however the fps health thing is just a sell out tactic for "casual" gamers, which wont get this game anyway. Why not just make it better for the fans? |

As long as they get rid of the farting jokes and dancing to receive love, i'm happy. Fable II was good, but far to easy and short, and as mentioned had a few annoying parts.

| I owned Fable and Fable II and I was never really satisfied (with story and RPG elements alike) and the sound of this doesn't spark any more interest for me. Fable III will definitely be a game I'll wait a couple weeks before I try and decide. Whether it even comes out this year is still a debate I'd say, though Lionhead usually sets and stays with release dates, regardless if the game is ready or not. |

| To all the hard core fans sorry for your loss. The FPS style health system is neat. You dont have to worry about taking your eyes off the action while fighting. I just wish they would have put more depth in the game. It was a very shallow you are my b***h go do this type mission system. I really wish they would have put more story too it also. Something to draw me in. |

Fable 2 was a pile of half-baked shit, this is doing what Halo:Reach will never do because bungie are still hell-bent on drawing money from that stone, and that is breaking the mould. Epic. This could be like that highly acclaimed Wii game Little King's Story but obviously way more incredible and different. |

Does Lionhead pay people to leave generic hopeful messages on this site?
This game will SUCK. The glory of Fable 1 and what I thought Fable 2 would be like has long since turned cold and DIED. I have no faith in Lionhead as developers. Everything they make 'better' is always far worse then the previous, Black & White and Fable being prime examples.
It's like he can't stop staring at how much the Wii's selling and desperately wants to get his hands on some of that dough. You're developing for a console that CAN push boundaries and instead all he talks about is how great Natal will be and what it'll do for the 360. Shut your piehole, Peter, and just jump ship for the Wii already. We've given up on you. |

I doubt most of you are taking it as serious as it really is, so I'll spell it out for you. You don't even need potions anymore, the game heals you automatically!
What's next, 'press the back button to turn on auto-fight!'. Enough's enough. I want a tough game, dammit. I want a game that has penalties for dying, not just 'back to checkpoint, better luck next time'. I want a FPS without health regen again. This casual BS has to stop. |

well... unlike all the bitchy people here who seem to have whipped out their imaginary Delorean's and went to the future and know how this game will turn out.
I'm going to just sit back and watch this game developing over the next year. Because...
A) It ain't out and nobody knows how it looks or how it will play... so stop trying to predict it.
B) Don't fucking buy it if you can't get the sand out of your vagina about it. Nobody has a gun to your head. |

| lets face it thanks to the economy the gaming industry is dumb down games I mean look at ME2 (mass effect 2) that game on normal/veteran is WAY EASIER and shorter then Mass Effect 1. Even Madden 11 is gonna dumb down their button controls to appeal to the more "casual" gamer. we can blame the economy for this now that people are sitting on their ass at home they need something to do lucky for us hard core gamers these people choose video games and now the devolpers are being forced to dumb down games cause half of these casual "new" gamers would never finish Mass effect 1 or Fable II because their just not that game savvy. |

He lost me at "Speaking".
I want to earn XP the normal way, not the crappy style outlined here, as seen in Mass Effect 2. And by normal, I mean none of those glitchy exp. balls that fall from dead enemies. Some of them would glitch into the surroundings, so that you couldn't retrieve them.

that either must take some big gahungas OR the people over in Lionhead especially Mr M. must have hit their heads. . . . hard
I'll buy it regardless Fable series always did a good job not taking itself seriouslly, looks like FIII will just be more of the that kind of humor (heres to hoping)

Why does this remind me of that Final Fantasy WiiWare game. Although I never played it the premise reminds me of it and the leveling system in Final Fantasy II. I never played Fable I but I did enjoy Fable II. I will try out Fable III anyways and hopefully it is good.

| I didn't play Fable 1...I haven't YET played Fable 2...and from this statement I can bet I won't be playing Fable 3...I love Peter Molyneux (Black and White was AMAZING) but his record with the Fable series isn't too hot. |

| I was a huge fan of the first Fable. I was super excited for Fable 2. I played it and generally enjoyed it, but I felt a little disappointed. I don't know how to explain it, but they created a game that was slightly different from the first in a bad way. The experience was different, I wasn't as connected with my char or his story. And the more things they change to Fable 3 from the first, the more I don't want to buy it for fear of being disappointed again... |

I was sucked into the hype for fable 2, watched every single gameplay video that was on youtube before it was released but the game itself was such a let down, even more so than GTA IV.
I didn't think it would be possible for Fable 3 to get any worse but there's still a chance after reading that. |

Not pissed, but not happy. Fable is one of those franchises that I will be perfectly content to not play.
I've played the first 2 and that's enough for me. I'm not interested at all in the "new way of doing things" so Fable 3 will be a no-buy for me. |

| This will add more RPG elements to the game. It'll no longer be a hack and slash button-mashing frenzy to gain levels. That's the only reason why people are so butthurt. Anyone with more than two braincells to rub together will like these changes. |

i'm all for a change aswell. fable was the reason i got an xbox and i wasn't dissatisfied at all. fable2 had some slight differences and it kept the game fresh. with 3 there just bringing us something new. it will still be fable.
