Dark Void DLC Available Now; Achievements MIA...

The Dark Void Survivor Missions DLC we revealed last week is now available for download for 400 Microsoft Points. However, the achievements tied to the DLC are not showing up on xbox.com, and we all know how annoying that little glitch can be. Just a friendly warning, as sometimes it is easily fixable by simply recovering your gamertag, while other times it requires a developer patch that takes weeks to come out. I would personally wait until the achievements go Live before touching the content!

I will edit this news article when the achievements are available, or if it has been too long and this has been pushed away, create a new one.

"Prepare for the fight of your life! In the Survivor Missions, relive key events from Dark Void as you battle waves of increasingly difficult enemy troops. Rack up massive points with score multipliers for headshots and hijacking enemy aircraft. Pick up time bonuses and fight back the alien armada! But never forget what matters most: Survival!"

  • Is this game worth checking? It has gotten pretty bad reviews...
  • Well, got it yesterday and already have to buy DLC -.-
  • @1 theres a demo on xbl marketplace.. idk man ive played better games to be honest
  • Good price but with how the game turned out...yeah. Honestly I'd buy it from the bargain bin but it wasn't a good retail title.
  • Only good thing about this game is that they used Nikola Tesla as a character in the game.
  • @1 The idea worked good on paper but the game looks like it has been ported from the PC... Covering and shooting is fine, you'll find some pretty nice guns too, but the air combat really sucks. Air controls are awkward and the fighting is repetitive. You can still rent it and make a choice but I don't recommend buying it at full price.
  • You can get this game for less then €20 already. It was deal of the day at zavvi on monday for like 15 euro.
  • Out of a six hour campaign, three of those hours were a great game. If the DLC is as good as the best bits of the game (the bits you actually get to use a jet pack) it'll be worth it.
  • I am not sure anymore in regards to the so called "site reviews". If x360a, gamespot, ign, or any other site is likely to say a game is bad/not so good, most of the gamers seem to share the same thoughts. This was the case for Cameron's Avatar. Nobody liked liked the game, and I just LOVED it!!! So, perhaps Dark Void might be a good game after all. From the gameplay/graphics seen on youtube vids, the game doesn't look that bad.
  • DON'T BUY THIS GAME!!!!!!!!!! At least don't pay 60 for it
  • I managed to pick it up for 15 quid on play.com and it's well worth that. The controls are a bit tricky at first but parts of the game are great fun. The story verges on the ridiculous at points and it's very short but as said before well worth it if you can get it at a bargain price. Might well have to check out the DLC when I know what the achievements are like Rob
  • @comment 2- u don't have to buy the DLC, u choose to, im not buying it cheevos or not, i rarely buy DLC unless it's on a game i like.
  • No one cares about this game that's what it's nicknamed "BIONIC COMMANDO 2"...you know, the other failure.
  • I hope the achievements are never added. I really don't want to rent this game again just to finish the DLC achievements.
  • Oh goodie, a game I rented and would have 1000 on if Grease Monkey wasn't glitched gets DLC with achievements that I will never get. Assholes.
  • This DLC sounds so shit it's not even funny.
  • lol @16
  • The only good thing about the game was getting Nolan North as the voice of the main character, AKA Nathan Drake in the Uncharted series.
  • "relive key events from Dark Void"? OK, WTF!!!!!!! So we're PAYING to REPLAY the game now?!?! WHAT IS THIS!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  • Release Date: January 19, 2010. Hasn't even been a month. Fuck you Capcom. I didn't even play this shit anyways.
  • @#20 so what if its been a month, before a game is released the dev team goes hands off for like 12 weeks or so because has to go through a certification process which includes producing the disks and shipping it to retailers.so really its been like 4 months almost since they finished the game!!!! so its obvious you know nothing about how games are made
  • i wait till its half price.
