Dante's Inferno

Dante's Inferno DLC: The Complete List
Written Tuesday, February 09, 2010 By Richard Walker

We're not entirely sure why this is only just coming to light, but Dante's Inferno has a complete list of forthcoming DLC stashed in the retail boxes of the game on a card.

We've already had various 'Soul Packs' this month and there'll be a Poet Costume and Animated Feature Film Costume making up the rest of the planned content for February.

Here's the rest of the list:

March

  • Prequel Level

April

The prequel level is no doubt the Dark Forest stage, which we reckon takes place in a dark forest of some description.

Trials of St. Lucia is out on April 29th and adds co-op and a level editor.

Didn't even realise it'd been releasd, thought it was a Late Feb. release :-S

Looks similar to DMC, which was a great game, might be worth a rental seeing as i've already asked for AC2 for my birthday, denied!

Well I already got this game coming to me in the mail via rental. I assume since this game is so short most people will have traded it in before the DLC comes out for it. Its disappointing though they left some of this stuff out of the game but it doesn't really bother me.

I wish this game wasn't so much like God of War.

The game is very good, but the DLC soul packs are a complete waste of time.

This should arrive in the mail any day now but I wont be keeping it for DLC.. I like how it's like God of War, it's tons of fun.

The game is quite good, and definitely not worth playing. Something for all to see.

Gee that makes sense..
Anyways, I doubt id buy any DLC for this game if I ever pick it up. Not much replay value.

I hope the DLC doesn't have achievements, I really don't wanna have to hold onto this one until then.

Yes they are. Bryce, the ninja poster of x360a.org

Anyway, every review of Dante's Inferno says it's mediocre. Unless the DLC offers achievements, I'll pass on it when I eventually GameFly the game.

I've already finished the game and I'm halfway through it again, tons f fun and I love the settings of each circle, such as greed containing gold everywhere in all the rocks. As for it being mediocre, I thought Bayonetta was mediocre compared to this, so different strokes etc etc.

Agree with #24
Dante's is highly underrated, any DLC will be worth a look. Bayonetta was craptacular

The prelude stage pisses me off, I'm sure it's probably just some key to unlock it on the disc. There's even an option at the start for the Trials DLC, so all that is probably on here too. Sadly, in the long wrong I'll probably buy them both, and maybe others.

Bayonetta is a lot better than this. They arent even comparable. The combo system in Bayonetta put all other hack and slash games to shame even Ninja Gaiden. It demands a lot more from the player.
I bought this and the combosystem is very poor but the setting is pretty good.Getting the DLC for sure as the game is very short.

They need DLC to completely rehaul the entire game. Get rid of some of the more annoying copy & pasted GoW elements (like that tired-ass shit of having to mash buttons to open chests and doors). Maybe allow for the dodge to double as a combo interruption. Give at least 75% of max value for auto-absolving. But the biggest overhaul should be the last three circles so they feel more like actual levels than something more suited as content for the Trials DLC. They should have delayed the game in the wake of Bayonetta, but EA seems to have opted instead to crack the whip on the developers to just slop together the final 3rd of the game and get it to market. Shameful. If Dead Space was one step forward for EA, this game is two steps back.

people are taking level editor way out of context
you create your own 'trials' which are the ten trials you face at the end of the game
they last up to a minute or two each and they just set you a task like kill all enemies without using magic

also people comparing it to DMC, its more like god of war
well it IS god of war but not as good
regardless of that, its a brilliant game

That sucks for the owners of the PS3 Divine edition who may have thought they were getting the Prequel Level exclusively with their version.
