Ubisoft Announce Ghost Recon: Future Soldier

Ubisoft has announced Ghost Recon: Future Soldier, a title they trademarked back in December.

For a limited time, anyone who purchases Splinter Cell: Conviction on Xbox 360 will be given access to a code allowing them to join the public multiplayer Beta this summer.

The title is under development at Ubisoft Paris and will be available by the end of 2010 according to a report on MondoXbox.

Ubisoft has released a press release too, stating that, "the game will feature cutting-edge technology, prototype high-tech weaponry, and state-of-the-art single-player and multiplayer modes.

"Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon: Future Soldier will go beyond the core Ghost Recon franchise and deliver a fresh gameplay experience, with an unparalleled level of quality that will excite long-time fans and newcomers alike."

[Update] The supposed 'big Ubisoft news' that was supposed to materialise almost an hour ago on Xbox Live is this announcement apparently. You mean to tell us that we sat staring blankly at the Xbox 360 dashboard for the best part of an hour, for this?

	#1 you are so right ! Ubisoft has put this off way to long and if you think i am buying it will be out by years end than they really got another thing coming!!!! Splinter Cell is on a 1 1/2 year delay as it is. When i own it i will believe it ! And the next announcement from Ubisoft BETTER be Rainbow Six !!! no more crap Ubisoft ! Get back to what got you guys do best !

	I loved both GRAW games, and thought the multiplayer worked really well apart from lag in bigger games. Shame I would have to buy Splinter Cell to get the multiplayer Beta invite....

	Rainbow Six is getting too many numbers in its title. Next one's going to be Rainbow 6 Vegas 3? The first time I hear that, I'm sure I'll ask myself "Which sports score are they referring to? Oh, the Tom Clancy game, nevermind." As for Future Soldier, I'm uneasy. Futuristic gameplay is hit or miss.

	the first games were boring and too fiddly, hopefully they improve those elements because the core of the games was a good idea just implemented poorly

	the GRAW games are great, however I can see this being delayed to 2010, with Halo Reach, a new COD crap game, and lots of big exclusives. Splinter Cell Crackdown Alan Wake Reach Fable 3 and Im betting there will be another 5 AAA exclusives announced at X10 cant see this having a chance

	I'm unsure whether I should be excited or not. I loved GRAW and GRAW2 simply because there wasn't much else on the 360 at the time. In retrospect the games kinda sucked... Hopefully this one will truly be "next gen" unlike it's predecessors.

	I liked the G.R.A.W. games. They were amongst the first games on the 360 that truely made me impressed whilst playing the game. They recreated battles so well, so much better than any of the C.o.D games, even if the overall experience wasn't as good. So I'm really looking forward to seeing how they've updated the engine and what improvements have been made.

	This seems rather redundant. You were already playing as a "Future Soldier" so to speak in the previous Ghost Recon games.

	i loved ghost recon on the xbox 360 and then they screwed it on the 360, if they can bring back the old school again and get it sorted then they might actually make a good ghost recon game again i loved it!

	I'm looking forward to the beta. I wish a new Rainbow Six game was coming out soon. I like Rainbow Six and Splinter Cell better, but Ghost Recon is still fun.

	The original Ghost Recon was the king of tactical shooters at its time. The expansions weren't bad either. Never cared for Ghost Recon 2 and its expansions. GRAW 1 & 2 were ok. The series became way too casual over time, much like Rainbow Six, but not executed as well. I'll keep on eye on this as a long time Ghost Recon fan, but I won't expect much.

	love Graw it was the first game I played online in fact its what made me buy my sexbox, I played both 1&2 and thought they were great cant wait to see what this 1s gonna be like I hope it will be my number 1 game online.

	As for more RB6, I'd rather they go back to the industrial themed ideas rather than Vegas or any civilian type areas. Warehouses and Oil Rigs are what made the franchise.

	Future Soldier is a horrible title. Anyway, isn't Future Soldier just another name for GRAW? Loved the old Ghost games on the original Xbox. Hope they bring back that style of gameplay.

	I have always bought my favorite ubi games because they're always hardcore and refreshing. From the looks of it they've been doing some overhauling and a lot of their big titles are going n00b friendly. If this trend continues I will be renting their games instead of buying from now on.
