This is a good thing. I feel DLC with achievements forces you to buy it if you want to have the max amount of gamerscore. I will buy this regardless of extra achievements. I also hope MW2 dont add achievements to their upcoming DLC. |

I was going to buy this, however lack of achievements for such a high profile DLC pack is atrocious, Ubisoft will see reduced sales and only have themselves to blame, ill be buying this only when it goes on discount sale, they will proberly patch it with achievmenets later on once they see how bad there sales are. |

Seriously, if the DLC is good does it really matter if it has achievements or not? What if the second DLC also shows up without cheevos? Are you not gonna download them because of that? It's also better to not put any achievements. 1000/1000 looks better.
Besides the game will last longer for me, since I haven't started it yet. So when the second DLC shows up, I might give it a shot.
Seeing that the first game sucked so much ass. It was such a bad game, hoping though that the second one is better. |

I love how so many people "Stop whining about achievements" and "Achievements don't matter!" This is an achievement site. If DLC that is priced doesn't have achievements, it is bound to cause an uproar on a site such as this.

The fact that for so many people achievements and gamerscore are more important than quality and actual gameplay is significant in terms of mentality to me.
On the flipside of this, Ubisoft are pretty lazy not have included achievements for those people who are obsessed about how their gamerscore looks on their card.
Considering Ubisoft announced such dismal sales figures they havent done themselves many favours by alienating a portion of their fanbase. However, as Br0kenAssass1n stated, think back to the days when games didnt have achievements. |

Meh, I'll pass for now. I know it's shallow (and I'm talking shot glass here), but hey, it's the way I play, for better or worse. Achievements have just become such a part of 360 games for me that it's hard to find motivation to play without them. In the end, I avert blame to Microsoft for introducing gamer score to begin with. I'd probably buy/rent a lot more games if I wasn't such an achievement/completion percentage whore(-der), like back in my SNES and PS2 days when I didn't have to worry about that stuff. The game itself was too short. I got its 1000G in 5 days and i was taking my damn time too. Was really mad i payed so much for such a short game. I would have bought the DLC if it had achievements but since not, i won't be buying it. I can easily find playthrough videos of the DLC on Youtube for free.

You guys are morons. "No achievements = no buy" is ridiculous. You have clearly lost sight of the original purpose of being a gamer: TO PLAY AND ENJOY THE GAMES. If you didn't love the game, its a different story. But all these people say "hurr I loved the game but no cheevos? I won't pay $4 for extra content to expand an already excellent experience."

I didn't buy AC2 and was pretty proud to have 1k'd it in the space of a rental(not a gamefly rental btw), so I'm actually glad to hear this. I know it's a bit selfish, but I hope it never gets achievements because I've only ever completed about 3 or 4 games and I would be pretty disappointed to lose one to DLC achievements since, as a personal rule, I will never buy DLC for a rented game. |

every fucking dlc does not need extra achievements, its fucking ridiculous that games are at 1150, 1250 and even 1750. when dlc was released a couple of years ago, no-one was bitching about how it should include achos. whats wrong with keeping it at 1000, at least there was some uniformity about it, now its all over the fucking place.

I, as well, will be skipping this one. There are so many other quality games out there now to work on and get rewarded with gamerscore. Hell, if gamerscore wasn't important, I'd probably play my PS3 once in a while. |

For me a lack of achievements means I will not purchase this content, regardless of how great the game was. Maybe if it ever gets DoTW in the future I may consider it then... |

just lost my sale as well...brilliant move. it's just astonishing how inept these companies act sometimes, and no, i don't need to be flamed. i know it's a fantastic game and not EVERYONE is a chievo hoe, but they really, really, really add to the experience if appreciated right. companies should learn to embrace them rather than just 'add them' out of convenience. |

man....that was very dissapointing. the one game's DLC that i was actually excited about and it has no achievements.
with that said, i'll still buy it if it's a quality DLC. i'll wait for some reviews first and if it's something like 30 mins long with no extras added to the game then no buy for me. |

Games should stop at the 1000. Fact. That way you can buy a game and then trade it in when it's maxed without fear of it suddenly upping to 1250 or more.
If the content is good then fine, charge for it. But don't add achievements EVER.
I can't believe people here are unhappy about it. Some people have no perspective. |

@107 I do agree that if the game isn't multiplayer based and it's a one playthrough game I would like to only rent it or trade it in after. I hate getting stuck with new games without much replayability because my accursed mind won't let me get rid of it for fear of some unannounced DLC. I don't have this game becuase for some reason I don't like this type (along with Prince of Persia). Though i'm thinking about giving AC 2 a try in the near future, but I guess I need some convincing... |

F*&%ing ubisoft. I Personally respect both views to dlc achievements, but i think ubisoft's history with glitched achievements are legendary, so they probably can't be bothered with the hassle. still, no chievos, no sale. theres no point if its not related to the main story. |

I'll buy it either way, I wish there were achievements though.
I see the fact that there's no achievements as proof they left this memory sequence and the next one out on purpose, to squeeze a few extra bucks out of us, with as little work as possible.
They looked at the finished game, said "Wait, these 2 sequences don't have any achievements tied to them. We can pull them from the full game, then release them as-is to the people for a price later on. This way we make more money and do less work." |

No buy for me, I'll just watch some vids for it on youtube. Would have bought if it came with cheevos, cause i need to retain my 100% completion of this brilliant game. Achievements with DLC=More sales...Ubisoft=Stupid. I felt like this DLC in no way would add to the overall story. It all takes place before the game ends, so besides expanding on secondary characters, it does nothing but add a few more hours of game play.
My only previous incentive to buy the DLC was achievements and getting to enjoy the great game play even more. So now they are trying to just sell me extra bits of game play that doesn't expand on the overall story, or even give me some sort of cheap reward? Yeah, no sale. |

It's more like: Ubi has confirmed to us that they left out this sequence and the other one on purpose, to try to squeeze more money out with as little work as possible.
I'm still getting it, but I can see why so many people are saying they wont. I'm pretty unhappy about the way Ubi has handled this.

The only reason they left the two sequences out of the game was because they didn't have enough time to finish them, and decided to actually finish them for us, rather than putting them in unfinished and dragging the game experience down. I think they should be free, but hell, I'll buy it anyway. |

This is good news to me, I was gonna buy it just to keep myself at 100% completion, but now I can put the points towards Splosion Man instead and pick the DLC up at a later date when my points are more disposable (aka when I start my new job).
Though this is very strange, and not good for business. Just add one achievement for beating all the new missions for like 100G, it can't be that hard. |

I love when people go to a website dedicated to achievements and act like they don't care about achievements. I will not be buying this because every DLC I've ever purchased has come with achievements. Its a feature that is supposed to be included. I think (and kinda hope) that this DLC flops because they clearly could have just included it in the retail game. I thought maybe it was just Microsoft at first not allowing them cuz the DLC is cheaper than most until I found out theres no trophies for it either. Shame... |

I just finished reading the book based on AC2 2 notes ago. It was nice to do the new dlc mem strand so soon after reading the book. Reading the book which included the cut sequences defo helped with the continuity in the new dlc w/ regards to where it fits in the full story arc.
It wouldve been better with cheevos. I still liked it tho. However, most games' dlc if there is no cheevo it's a no-buy for me. AC2 is a rare exception. |
