Hey webby! as for EU release http://www.play.com/Games/Xbox360/4-/10267496/Resonance-Of-Fate/Product.html ive had this on pre-order for awhile now and that Date hasnt changed and holds solid for what often happens.. we gotta wait a few months for our turn after our US brethren have had a good play ;)Monday, January 18, 2010 @ 10:17 AM
tri-ace... this means a short game with multiple playthroughs required, in a lame attempt to make the game seem like it's long, like an RPG should be. I'll never buy another tri-ace game after Infinite Undiscovery. What a joke.Monday, January 18, 2010 @ 10:20 AM
I just hope this game doesn't have insane achievements. RPGs already take 30-80 hours to complete, I don't need to play through them 4 times. K thanks bye.Monday, January 18, 2010 @ 10:20 AM
@#10 Your loss. Thanks for the trolling.Monday, January 18, 2010 @ 10:29 AM
I've always wanted a JRPG like this game, and the demo certainly made its point (if you can't download the demo I wouldn't recommend looking up videos on YouTube, nobody knows what they're doing. =/) Might be heresy, but I'll probably be buying this before looking at FF13.Monday, January 18, 2010 @ 10:42 AM
@9 Surely you mean Richie! Thanks for the link though!Monday, January 18, 2010 @ 10:57 AM
@ #12 So stating my opinion about the development company making the game is trolling? Why is that? Because it is not YOUR opinion? You 13 year old kids really need to cut the ignorance. Just because someone has a differing opinion from yours, does not make them a troll or wrong. Everyone is entitled to your opinion. Some fact for you though: Your reply to me IS flaming and trolling, since you've attacked me and said nothing on topic. Keep up the good work.Monday, January 18, 2010 @ 10:57 AM
"Everyone is entitled to your (*their) opinion."Monday, January 18, 2010 @ 11:24 AM
Hey lets all rate a game that hasn't come out yetMonday, January 18, 2010 @ 11:27 AM
I sincerely hope this is good. The premise and gunplay mechanics are definitely a welcome change, but tri-ace has indeed been crap for a few years with IU and SO: TLH. Copyright pretty much nailed their design scheme. Perhaps the change in publisher will push them to change their ideas about how an RPG should run as well. Unfortunately, looking at the translations of the EoE achievements, it looks like two playthroughs and all quests to start. Plus most of the achievements are vague as hell and don't actually say what they require. Still pre-ordered it though. :DMonday, January 18, 2010 @ 11:35 AM
SEGA are publishing games alot more now...Monday, January 18, 2010 @ 11:39 AM
Then I look forward to another excellent achievement guide from you Pants!Monday, January 18, 2010 @ 12:17 PM
I'm very interested in this game, hopefully it turns out to be good =)Monday, January 18, 2010 @ 02:48 PM
Played the demo, it was meh.Monday, January 18, 2010 @ 03:54 PM
Probably pick this up as a rental first, then see how it goes from there. There's far too many RPGs this year, and that is in no way a bad thing :)Monday, January 18, 2010 @ 04:46 PM
@#9 Yeah I noticed that date on play.com as well but I have to admit that play are usually never that accurate with their release dates unfortunately. They've had dead rising 2 coming out next month for a while now for example *facepalm* Thanks for the info anyways RobMonday, January 18, 2010 @ 04:55 PM
Looks nice, thanks for bringing this to my attention Webb.Monday, January 18, 2010 @ 05:19 PM
the achievement should be the same as End of Eternity (which it uploaded on the 14th)since it called that in jap. tryed the demo on my PS3, but i won't pick it up the day it come out on March, since i will be busy with FF13.Monday, January 18, 2010 @ 05:25 PM
Nice screenshots, I love these types of games so I'll probably get this after some walkthroughs are made because I'll be too busy with FFXIII in March to be playing anything else.Monday, January 18, 2010 @ 05:42 PM
Looks nice and slick :DMonday, January 18, 2010 @ 05:52 PM
Which region has the demo? I've got UK, US and Japanese accounts set up so I can get any. Well, Japanese isn't quite so easy given I don't read Japanese.Monday, January 18, 2010 @ 06:21 PM
So does this game just go by 2 names or something? i see it as resonance of fate and end of eternityMonday, January 18, 2010 @ 07:24 PM
Its called end of eternity in japan and resonance of fate everywhere else ill prolly give this a pass, ill just go for ffxiiiMonday, January 18, 2010 @ 07:29 PM
Demo was good. Didn't understand what I was really doing though...Monday, January 18, 2010 @ 07:57 PM
I like how it has a different air to it. I'll be getting both this an FF13, I'd actually forgot all about this since it was first anounced ages ago so its a nice suprise Im so excited ;D Demo? Ive not seen of heard of it.Monday, January 18, 2010 @ 09:12 PM
Get a Jap account.Monday, January 18, 2010 @ 09:14 PM
Fuck! That sounded rude as hell... Sorry #33.... Redo please.. You need a Jap account. It's not that hard navigating through the Jap Dashboard. If you've been in and out of the marketplace a lot, then it's easy as hell. That sounded a LOT better...Tuesday, January 19, 2010 @ 12:17 AM
I was pleasantly confused by the battle system. After messing with the demo for a bit, I "got" the movement structure, the map system, linking attacks, charging and going apesh*t in midair, and weakspots for the boss. And, yet, I was still very confused. Can't wait to get some English on it.Tuesday, January 19, 2010 @ 12:17 AM
If it's turn based, I'm hoping it'll turn out better than Final Fantasy 13: the Hallway RPG.Tuesday, January 19, 2010 @ 12:27 AM
I plan on getting this the same day as FF XII since they both have the same release dates. Can't wait!Tuesday, January 19, 2010 @ 10:54 AM
lol @34/35. This has a nice visual style to it. I need to get crackin' on some JRPGs, I haven't played one since FFVII.Wednesday, January 20, 2010 @ 02:54 PM
graphics look greatTuesday, February 16, 2010 @ 05:47 AM
@17 don't even get me started on the topic!

Those clever chaps what make them Star Ocean games have released some rather lovely screens for their new RPG, Resonance of Fate.
The portentously titled JRPG is on its way from tri-Ace, a developer famed for crafting good, solid role-playing fare. Resonance of Fate should be good, solid role-playing fare then.
SEGA is on publishing duties for when the game launches later this year.
End of Eternity, as it's known in Japan, is slated for January 28th, with a North American release pencilled in for March. An EU date is still to be confirmed at time of writing. Boooo!
You can have a look at the full 26 screens in our gallery.
