Those clever RTS bods at Ubisoft have been hard at work on their innovative strategy title RUSE and as the new dev diary shows, the team are investing a lot of time and effort in the game's story, resorting to motion capture to lend added authenticity to the cutscenes.

Take a look at the trailer, which offers up some considerable insight into the mo-cap process as well as the script with interviews from key members of the development team.

I will still always prefer playing RTS games on a PC rather than a console. It's just far too difficult to micro-manage with a controller, besides the fact that RTS games usually look horrible graphics-wise on a console.

That said, this game looks promising, but judging on other console RTS games (Endwar, the horribly ported C&C series and Halo Wars which was actually somewhat decent) I'm not hoping for too much.

@5 i agree, consoles will always be poor mediums for RTSs unless somehow motion control like Natal brings in some new ideas (iv always wanted to select units with my hands... although youd look like an absolute idiot poking mid air XD) and i also dont understand all the stick halo wars is getting from the community, i frickin loved it, and critics thought it was pretty sweet too- hell, i played that game on legendary and completed it with 3 different people!
As for RUSE... enough with the hilariously overdone new clancy-based ideas and bring back RAINBOW SIX!!!!! :)

Actually, it may not be clancy... but my point still stands with HAWX and Endwar!

i'd rent it. You just never know when an RTS is gonna surprise you ever since Halo Wars.
