I rememeber in the summer when they had that summer deals or something and you get 800 points back after spending 50 bucks on buying the arcade games. i wish they had a legit free microsoft points. Like sign on XBL get free points added to you account. just my 2 cents.

@#5 - Pinnaacle Station is utter garbage - it's really just a virtual reality sim, but it's very repetitive and not really worth the money IMO. |

i don't know how i feel about promotions like these. it's a nice gesture by a company to award a "free" gift, in this case ms points but i wish they would have gone about this differently. every time i see a promo like this, i see myself buying unwanted or semi-curious games just to award myself with the "free" gift. it almost feels like i spend more to qualify than you get in the deal. i know its almost impossible but i wish a company would simply offer a buy one get one. even in the holiday season make it where if you buy one you can atleast give it away to a friend on xbox in a present format with a free code. |

How long does it take to get the points back? I just purchased both of the Mass Effect add-ons after seeing it listed on the EA website. I don't recall seeing anything that it is region specific. I'm in Canada. I'll be a little ticked off if what I just purchased does not apply.

@20 - therein lies the whole purpose of their deal. To sway people into buying stuff they either didn't want or weren't sure on. If everybody who took up the offer bought the 3 cheapest items from the list, they'll make 560M$ from them. Might not sound like much but I suppose a profit's a profit, and it'll soon stack up if enough people take up the offer.
@28 - The deal says you need to buy 'three eligible EA games or game add-ons' so if you've only got the one you'll need to buy two more from the list.
@29 - Doubt it, the offer starts today I cant imagine they'd take into account purchases at any time prior :( |

To those that want to buy Dead Space...don't. It's an awesome game, but I did two play throughs in five days (one on the hardest difficulty) and I was pretty much done with it by that point.

@#36 - Why would it not apply to the USA? Usually the reverse is true, that it only applies to the US and not other places. However, the offer on the EA website lists no location restrictions, so we must assume it applies everywhere.
To answer "Do previous purchases count towards this offer?" I think the offer is pretty clear: "From December 25th thru January 31st, buy any 3 of these Xbox Live digital games or game add-ons and get 800 MS Points back." - I think it is pretty obvious that this means you must purchase ALL THREE pieces of eligible content in the time frame. To answer "When do we get our 800 points?", Usually with offers like this you won't get them back immediately. My guess is they won't even start the process until the promotion is over, and even then it will probably take a couple weeks. My best guess would be mid-February when you will be e-mailed the codes to add 800 points to your account, this is how it worked for the "Buy 2000 points with your Visa and get 300 points free" promotion a while back.
Now, my one question would be if purchasing Battlefield 1943, assuming the leaked holiday deal of the day list is correct that it will be only 400 MSP, will count towards this offer if purchased that day. I c |

can see EA trying to argue it doesn't count because the list says Battlefield 1943 costs 1200 points, so therefore the game at that price wasn't part of the list or some such nonsense.
