why all the hate for this game ?
i enjoyed it tremendously! was a great launch title, better than any that ps2 or 3 had by miles!
I'm not so sure about this natal direction Rare are going, Kameo 2 could have sold more than Banjo and Viva Pinata combined with the right marketing!
looks like its casual games like Ricochet for them now sadly. |

As for Kameo... Never heard of it. Probably nothing too special if it's from Rare, though. Their games are decent, but not the "OMG SO AWESOME!!!!1!1!" level of great that people make them out to be. |

ha theres still hope. if i remember right kameo was supposed to be for the nintendo 64. then it got pushed back to a launch title for the game cube...... then it became a launch title for the 360 if theres one thing rare wont let happen its let somthing they workedx on die.... become a bastardization of its former self yes but sit there ad rot no. just look at conkers bad fur day it was originaly aimed at kids where conker and his girfreind, a much shorter and less curvy, berrylooked for presents he lost on the way to someones birthday party.

Who cares?! Kameo was a generic platformer that I couldn't bring myself to finish. Even my wife thought it was too lame to play. With all the games comming out this winter/spring I can't think of a reason to care about this. |

| Kameo sucked balls. I played long enough to beat it and then I got rid of it as fast as possible. I'm glad there won't be a sequel; Rare needs to put their energy into more IP's if they want my money. |

| What the hell has happened to rare, so does this mean they will only be focusing on games for Natal now? if thats the case then that sucks big time. Yeah, I have a friend with a launch day Gamecube that actually has Kameo on the back of the box. I thought that was funny.
The first Kameo was just an average game, but I'd buy a second game due to Rare's track record. The Viva Pinata games and Banjo Kazooie: N&B are absolutely amazing. (And I'd been waiting for a game like N&B for YEARS.) I just recently found an old copy of Grabbed by the Ghoulies for the hell of it and I plan on getting to that soon. |

@42. You idiot. They got bought out in 2002/3 by Microsoft so they couldn't release it on Gamecube.
Then they adjusted it to the Original Xbox but were told to have it as a launch title for the 360 instead so they had to remake it again (same with Perfect Dark)
@5- No PS2 had SSX for a launch title :P
Anyway, whats with the hate? The game was pretty fun but just too short.
The problem with Rare now is, they have a much harder audience than with Nintendo who like kiddy-style games. But 360 gamers just want shooters, so that is what Rare should stick at with Micorsoft unfortuantely. |

Not that there's anything wrong with shooters, but if you only find fun in shooting games, you may have addiction problems with "trendy games." Get some variety since most of you have problems determining what factors make a game decent.
This game was a decent game, I must say I'd hope to see it revived someday.

Kameo is average? Kameo is lame?
Kameo is one of the few great platformers on the 360. They are a dying breed, and for someone like me who grew up on them (Banjo Kazooie, DK64, Conker, oh right they're made by Rare too...) I played the shit out of that game and loved it. |

| I played Kameo, and it wasn't terrible, but it just didn't quite do it for me. I have always been a fan of Rare, and even still most of their games are great. It saddens me that they aren't doing as well as they used to, and I empathize with those of you who were hoping for a Kameo sequel. |

This doesn't upset me too much, as I didn't like Kameo all that much.
However, I would much rather see Rare making games instead of focusing on Natal. A new Banjo, Perfect Dark or Conker would be nice. |

Why are people so negative? If you don't like it, don't buy it! But because you don't like it doesn't mean it's crap. I hate Man Utd but it doesn't mean there crap and i don't need to let everybody in the world know. The last game i hated was Operation Flashpoint 2: Dragon Rising just because it was so hard it wasn't enjoyable to me. However i can see why people did like it for it's realism but i'm not going to waste my time posting rubbish comments about it because i just don't care about it.
It always worries me when people have to post comments about a game that they hated so much they barely played but in an hour of playing there opinion means that's it, the makers should pack up shop, sell there souls to the devil and jump off a cliff. |

| Kameo is a great little game, and a great looking one too. Rare are very, very... Well... Rare, in the gaming industry these days. Yes, they were bought as a first party developer at Microsoft, but their raw talent is still there: Games like Nuts & Bolts and Viva Pinata may not draw in the big crowds, but they are undeniably eccentrically British and very, very fun! One thing that always strikes me is their incredible attention to detail. Graphically they are untouchable, and technically too: In Viva Pinata there is SO MUCH attention to detail it's staggering. All the little incidental animations, the detail on the Pinata's themselves, the sound, the sheer technical achievement of it all. I find that Rare push the Xbox 360 beyond what's though possible, just as they did with the N64. Same |

| Same with Nuts & Bolts: The animations, graphics, gameplay and again technical brilliance of it all gelled together is simply unmatchable. It's a shame half of the people who post here are about 12 years old, and think the only good graphics are the ones that realistically depict guns and soldiers... I was devastated when Gears of War won best graphical achievement over Viva Pinata. Rare are incredible, and we should be encouraging their continued growth and development if we don't want to be playing carbon copies of Call of Duty for the next hundred years. |

no biggie. we'll see it sometime. good marketing move saying it's been canned now that Mario Galaxy 2 and Ratchet and Clank Future: A Crack in Time is coming. Kameo was good but nowhere near any of those titles.
I've said it before and I'll say it again: Rare has not done anything magic since the N64 era and since they left Nintendo their games have been good at best. The reason is probably that a lot of people left the studio around the time of the sale to MS. Before you ask, yes I am a Nintendo Fanboy at heart but I am also a gamer first and foremost. I own all three consoles this gen (fisrt time I felt the need to buy all three) and my 360 is the one being played the most so that's why I'm on a 360 site. |

Thank God, Kameo was one of the first titles for the 360 that I had, played, and sold within a week of purchase.
This, and Perfect Dark Zero we're the WORST games I had ever played. Playing flash games on the internet was more interesting. At least it felt like I was playing a game that was made with a little bit of heart. |

why do people come onto 'XBOX360'achievements.org to talk about Playstation? It makes me weep. Go to the Ps3trophies site. Thanks.
As for Kameo, I have been meaning to play it since the day it was released, I just never got round to it, I guess nows a good time since I could probably get it for less than five quid. |

#20, I disagree. Jumping Flash was the best PS exclusive ever. I wish they'd make a new one. They obviously didn't forget about it, it's on the PS store for crying out loud.

most of you are moanin about rare concentrating on natal but lets see wen they do make a natal game an u see what its all about u will all want it why shouldnt they concentrate on natal?? thts the way forward all the games companies are gunna work with natal do u moan about them??? ea? activision? no oh an rare have made some quality games

@#5, I doubt it would reach sale that would exceed Viva Piniata. (Unless your meaning perhaps Trouble in Paradise)
It was a good game, yet I doubt it could compete with most other game these days. With L4D2 and Assassins Creed 2 just around the corner, whats the point? :S.
Smart thing to always do is just simply wait till high anticipated games come out, and then wait roughly a month till you come up with some great marketing scheme and blow the roof off when you launch. That way, your getting everyone just at the "oh this is getting boring now :(" stage.

Kind of strange that Rare didn't announce they were working on the sequel, but then they decided to announce that it was canceled! Oh well, I think it would have be great, like the first one. So yeah, #94 (and others) it worth playing, even by today standards. Good story line, good graphics and good puzzles to solve.
And to #9, #17, and others that said it was crap - why isn't it even on your games played list? Did you not even play it long enough to get one achievement before you made your in-depth decision that it's crap? |

| kameo was one of my favorite games at the 360 launch, next to call of duty 2 and condemned. it was very colorful, great characters (kameo morphs), tons to do within the game. i hope it gets picked up by someone to finish, like brutal legend. |
