That's one thing that Activision has won in. Free DLC, even if this batch doesn't look like it's going to be any good.
Of course, the utter failure at track exporting (and the setlist in general) means I won't be buying these games until they are really cheap, if at all. |

@11 It ain't a rip-off, i gives you the songs you ant withot buying a whole new game and I know before you say it that dlc totals up more than a new game but if you do it on a one song basis, you can either pay 160msp or pay £40 for a game with only a few actually good songs on (looking at you GH5)

I wish they could invent some sort of digital database that can store the songs you purchase and download. Then when a new game comes out, you can import it with ease.

and like someone said, they need a central database/save spot for all these dlc songs, that SHOULD be forward compatible with any subsequent games thereafter.
and band hero is a joke! ONLY 65 SONGS!!!!!!! we know for a fact that they can put more than that on the disc, el cheapos, them activision.
and if its due to licencing issues, well, they certainly didnt try hard enough, they must have given up after the first "no" then.

So buy GH5 or BandHero and buy a used copy of the other one, WT and SmashHits and rip and return. "but what about the code out of the book?" More than likely the average gamer won't use it. If anything grab an extra book for good measure out of another copy. |

Anyone complaining about not knowing the 6 artists in the free song track pack is an idiot. One of the songs in the list is by An Endless Sporadic, a great instrumental band that has created two of the most fun GH songs ever ("Impulse" in GH3 and "Anything" which is free DLC). Who cares if the rest of the 5 songs suck, that song I know will be great.
Besides, what does it matter if you don't know the artists? The biggest problem with music these days is that people only listen to what they're "comfortable" listening to. That's why average stuff like Jonas Brothers and Taylor Swift is the most listened to right now instead of truly great music. |

wow...people need to stop complaining about the free dlc supposedly being crap.Its free and i can bet you 5 bucks its better than all 4 or 5 free tracks they have for download on rock band.(excluding the RB2 songs you get when you buy it...but most of them suck too.)Its free and im downloading it...BTW i own both RB,RB2 RB:TB and all the guitar heros released for 360 except for aerosmith so there is no way im a fanboy.i just like rhythm games:) |

Prefer the career style and overall setlists of RB2. On GH the career is to play one song once what band did that in their career. I'll get GH5 cos it feels right to. Hopefully its not as graphically cheap as GHWT (eh em... every man looked like Johnny Napalm from GH3 just with different hair) |

Sorry, but the title just says November Guitar Hero DLC Announced. Perhaps that should have been enough to make me yawn and look at something else, but then when I did look at it, there wasn't an immediately apparent "here's the songs" listing. Sorry, I don't care enough to read 6 paragraphs of text to figure out what the songs are, especially 6 paragraphs that I really probably don't care about. yep i like endless sporadic as well. im not impressed with most of this tho. im more of a rock band guy anyways. i respect the free fan pack thing but lenny kravitz and kiss? those are lenny's most boring hits and kiss?! urgh never liked them. they were always about stage theatrics then good music anyways. kiss was cool and all......back in the 70's but they shoulda called it quits 20 years ago. |

Just got back from Blockbuster, and got my code off the back of the manual for Band Hero, and bought a Microsoft Points card while I was there, so for 400 points I got 60 more songs to add to my Guitar Hero 5 setlist, sweet, basically a FREE game |
