Halloween Themed Tracks Heading to Rock Band Next Week

Halloween Themed Tracks Heading to Rock Band Next Week
Written Friday, October 23, 2009 by Dan Webb

In the sprit of the scariest season of all, Christmas Halloween, MTV and Harmonix today announced its themed Rock Band DLC for next week's Rock Band Music Store update.

Virtual rockers can now scare lumps out of the kids in the neighbourhood with their renditions of some of Rob ZOMBIE's and WOLFmother's music library... Oh, I see what they did there. In addition, you can also pick up a solitary Liz Phair song, as well as two from Morningwood - which is scary in its own way.

You can pick up the Rob Zombie and Wolfmother tracks for 160 points a piece or as a set; either 440 for the Rob Zombie pack or 680 for the Wolfmother pack. The Liz Phair track will cost 160 points, whilst the Morningwood tracks are a measly 80 points each.

• Rob Zombie – “Burn”
• Rob Zombie – “Dragula”
• Rob Zombie – “Superbeast”
• Wolfmother – “New Moon Rising”
• Wolfmother – “Pilgrim”
• Wolfmother – “Sundial”
• Wolfmother – “White Unicorn”
• Wolfmother – “Woman”
• Liz Phair – “Rock Me”
• Morningwood – “Best of Me”
• Morningwood – “Sugarbaby”

Those are not Halloween songs.

Dead Mans Party
Red Right Hand
Werewolves of London
I Put A Spell On You

Those are Halloween songs. Another year another missed Opportunity.

I think the bands are more like the Halloween based gimmick. Like WOLFmother and Rob ZOMBIE!

I do love Dragula, but I don't know if it'll be any good on RB. I'll have to wait on these for a while.

Dragula and Superbeast? Good enough for me.

Gonna have to agree with #5 on Dead Man's Party. I'd kill for some Oingo Boingo.

Well, they simply could've just put some songs by Helloween, some of their old stuff would be awesome. Dragula is a buy despite that ;)

They should have put Astro Creep 2000 on there as an album download. Rob Zombie's solo career isn't as good.

I might get the Rob Zombie songs, everything else isn't very good. Though, what kind of band names themselves Morningwood? Is it a joke or something?

Def going to look into Rob Zombie. Though maybe Marilyn Manson's cover of This is Halloween would have been pretty awesome.

I'm not a big Wolfmother fan, and I really wish they would release other bands instead of putting a bunch of one particular band. I rarely see anything I want to download these days.

GH5's Halloween selection is better...

The Misfits - Astro Zombies
GWAR - Gor-Gor
Marilyn Manson - Beautiful People

Wow, disappointing. Rob Zombie sucks, and Dragula is a shitty song. After all the commercials with GH5 I thought Wolfmother would be GH exclusive. Even though they aren't that good I'd still like to say 'Take that, Guitar Hero.' Haven't bought any RB2 dlc since RE: Your Brains, Tribute, and Guerilla Radio. Need to get up-to-date with the Alice in Chains pack.

What would have been awesome for me would be two separate songs titled Halloween. One by King Diamond and the other by Helloween.

Friday, October 23, 2009 @ 11:50:44 PM

Rob Zombie is kool, though could have got some better songs, honestly.

I agree that Misfits and Manson's "This Is Halloween" would be so badass! =D

I remember when Dragula used to be in seemingly every game like Gran Turismo, Sled Storm, and Jet Grind Radio. Now that it's been so long, I might actually get it for Rock Band.

@14, 29, and 50: Yeah... where the hell is the helling Helloween? Rock Band/Guitar Hero DLC --- "Halloween" by Helloween -- it don't get any plainer than that. (pack also includes "Mr. Torture" and "Dr. Stein") ^_^

and @34: It's Wolfmother only because Guitar Hero just released a Wolfmother pack.. God forbid either game do anything original.

If the content is good, or for a game I love, I'll buy it regardless of whether chievos are included
I'll still buy and play the downloadable content, but achievements would be nice.
Who the hell cares!?
No achievements, no sale ... and that goes for any game ... whether you're GTA or Halo!
Just stop with the DLC achievements full stop ... you're ruining my completion percentage dammit!
