I got beat out by 2 minutes by someone who doesn't like the Beatles or Queen obviously, I know people have a right to their own opinion and everything, but come on, it's the BEATLES!!!

Same, but I will complement on how great these packs are for those Beatles/Queen fans out there.

I'll be getting the beatles dlc for sure but still debating on wheter to save points for gay tony or to get some more music dlc for my games. GTA4 is more overhyped than the beatles and queen combined in my opinion

Aren't there songs in the DLC that are already in the game?
Why should I pay and download them again?

@12 ...the game only came out last month and u sold it weeks ago? obviously you have problems...

@13 I was thinking the same thing, I don't know why they are listed. Obviously we will just get the new songs we don't have from the album.

rather just get Beatles Rock band than this DLC. Although its interesting that some of these songs aren't in that game. weird

@23 (which was @ me)
The beatles, when compared with other bands from around the time, to me, are garbage.
The Who are a far better Rock Band.

The Beatles DLC will be for Beatles: Rock Band or Rock Band 2 ? if it's for the former seems weird since some of the songs are already in the game, if it's for the latter then it's ok for anybody who doesn't have the Beatles game... i'll buy the Queen pack no question asked and perhaps some of the beatles

7 of those songs are already in the game... anyone who downloads the pack is brain-dead

Monday, October 19, 2009 @ 03:28:36 PM

@29
There are 17 songs on the album. Even if 7 songs are already in the game, how many songs does that leave? 10, good! Now, 10 songs multiplied by 160 MS points each equals what? 1600, good! Now, which is cheaper, 1600 MS points or the pack price of 1360?

Monday, October 19, 2009 @ 03:45:36 PM

@14 i sold it about 2 weeks ago. I got it when it came out (over 5 weeks ago) so i had it for just over 3 weeks. I was really into it for the first few weeks and would have purchased some songs then as i got bored of what was on there, but after 3 weeks the trade in value was going down so i traded it in... All the Rock band and GH games have immediate dlc and much bigger track lists now so they can hold your attention for much longer, this game was an experience and well, I experienced it.

Monday, October 19, 2009 @ 03:59:14 PM

I took this to mean that if you download the abbey road album you'll get the entire album in RB2 andjust the extra tracks in the beatles, I may be wrong though

Either way after getting nearly all but the nigh-on impossible achievements for both rb2 and the beatles I probably won't be getting much more dlc for either of them

Now when rock band 3 rolls around that'll be a different story :)

Another One Bites the Dust and Fat Bottomed Girls, that's all I'm getting. DLC's been ok, but it seems like every full album I see is always a bad I don't really care about. Seriously, if you aren't a Queen or Pearl Jam fan the last few big DLC releases for bands have been mediocre at best.

Want that Queen DLC. But they should've chosen a better Beatles album eg. Revolver/Rubber Soul. Abbey Road drags like hell.

Clarifying post for those that are confused.

The news item doesn't make clear that those redundant tracks are NOT in the album download since, you know, you have them in TB:RB already.

Abbey Road is NOT compatible with RB2 for the same respect licensing/agreement issues that allowed TB:RB to be made in the first place.

And there's no point to buying TB:RB if you were going to sell it off within weeks. Kinda proven that you didn't like the music in the first place and probably didn't have any business buying it. Thanks for contributing to Harmonix's bottom line, though!

TB:RB DLC WILL have new dreamscapes which take time and more manpower and thus more money to make. Also the process time and effort for Beatles DLC will cost Harmonix more since they have to travel to the UK to

Beatles fuck yes

Monday, October 19, 2009 @ 05:11:15 PM

guh. continuing. Can't we have something telling us the character limit or something?

Anyway. Beatles DLC will cost Harmonix more since they have to travel to the UK to work with the masters as opposed to the current system of people bringing the masters to their studios. Harmonix will be making LESS money on The Beatles: Rock Band DLC than DLC for Rock Band 2.

Food for thought.

Argh too many points for this week! Queen will have to wait cos I NEED TO DO THE MEDLEY!!!! Carry that weight=OMG!
I have to say the addition of vocal harmonies made my fucking day!

Monday, October 19, 2009 @ 06:49:53 PM

I don't understand why the Beatles DLC comes with tracks already in the game. Why are we paying for things we already bought? Harmonix did this right with their other albums, why are they doing wrong now?

Monday, October 19, 2009 @ 06:59:33 PM

I wonder how many times I can play that medley without getting sick of it.

Answer: 0.

Well, I'm gonna lose out on the medley do to the fact that I'm already getting some free songs -- but that's fine. Queen and Beatles in the same day? Seems that Borderlands isn't gonna be my prime directive for the day. xD

Okay folks. You're not downloading songs that are already on the game. Only the tracks not on the disc. They were originally all listed because The End wasn't officially announced yet. Can't wait for tomorrow. Will be downloading both the Beatles Album and the Queen pack.

First off, anyone who buys games for 2-3 weeks then takes em back is a fool. Blockbuster has a 21.99/month plan(one of those mail in places might even be cheaper). Go rent for 3 weeks(about $16), instead you pay $60+tax, then resell for $30........Abbey Road is a 17 song album, so 17-7=10 songs. Best DLC week for RB in a long time, I'm all over Queen and Abbey Road.

If the content is good, or for a game I love, I'll buy it regardless of whether chievos are included
I'll still buy and play the downloadable content, but achievements would be nice.
Who the hell cares!?
No achievements, no sale ... and that goes for any game ... whether you're GTA or Halo!
Just stop with the DLC achievements full stop ... you're ruining my completion percentage dammit!
