Modern Warfare 2 Took Over GTTV This Week Written Friday, October 09, 2009 by Dan Webb GameTrailers.com's GTTV this week was pretty much taken over entirely by Infinity Ward and Activision's Modern Warfare 2. Bar a short look at Indiecade and an Uncharted 2 event, it's entirely Modern Warfare 2... so easily 15 plus minutes of one of the year's blockbuster title, with plenty of brand new footage. Throughout the show Geoff Keighley speaks to a number of Infinity Ward guys about various aspects of the game. Including that you'll take control of multiple characters again with newbie Gary Sanderson being one of them, that there will be 70 multiplayer levels and prestige will return with better rewards, and the AC 130 isn't the top kill streak award. A good portion of the show looks at four previously unseen Spec Ops missions; Estate Takedown, which takes place in a big wooded area surrounding a vacation home where you'll face off against troops, Ghillies and the Spec Op exclusive Juggernauts; elimination in Rio; a snowmobile race, and Breach and Clear (which previously the press has only seen). I don't even know if I'll ever even get around to playing all 70... And spec ops mode sounds amazing. While survival modes that normally accompany games nowadays (Firefight, Horde, Zombies, etc.) are fun, it's nice to have a change with something a little more involved. MOW2 just keeps getting better and better. |

Unless your wondering if they have 70 different military ranks, then your just uneducated. 65 ranks in W@W was bad, because they didn't add enough to the game to make you want to get that extra 10 levels. MW2 is adding a lot of challenges and other stuff, and plus, it's gonna be so much fun that you wish it was 100 levels! The main reason they went to 70, is because people got to 10-55 pretty quick (well, in retrospect) and now they have a lot more time to get there. I personally don't like how it's shaping up, in that regard. However, the gameplay, multiplayer, and concept are all looking beauuuutiful. The heroism won't ruin the game for me. |
