Guitar Hero World Tour

This Week on the Xbox Live Arcade [XBLA & DotW]
Written Monday, September 28, 2009 By Dan Webb

Another busy week on the Xbox Live Marketplace with plenty of content filtering through the Deal of the Week promotion and Wednesday's Xbox Live Arcade update.

Appearing on Wednesday as part of the Arcade update will be three Xbox Live Arcade games, each coming in at 800 Microsoft points; Bust a MoveFootball Genius - The Ultimate Quiz and Military Madness: Nectaris.

As far as Deal of the Week goes, there are a load of discounted Guitar Hero: World Tour tracks out this week, which are as follows:

The Killers – Mr. Brightside
Travis Barker – Low
Blink 182 – What’s My Age Again
Rick Springfield – Jessie’s Girl
Queen – We Are The Champions
Ram Jam – Black Betty
Nickelback – Because of You
Smashing Pumpkins – 1979
Foreigner – Hot Blooded
Blind Melon – No Rain

So that's your round up of a fraction of the Xbox Live Marketplace content for the week. Remember that the Left 4 Dead Crash Course DLC is dropping tomorrow as well for 560 Microsoft points.

[Thanks to Major Nelson as always]

Didn't they announce the GH deal with 50% off at the beginning of September. Well even with 50% still a poor excuse for a deal.

I've been trying to patiently wait for Military Madness and now my wait is almost over! Heh, I was a big fan of the TG16 version.

@ 2, you thought you were first and you thought you were cool for pointing the obvious out to us. Both times you FAIL hard. LoL!

Another great Fail of the Week, 40 points off popular songs that most GH DLC buyers already have? What's the point?

Im getting L4D DLC and Puzzle Bobble for my missus and achievments!!!

Football Genius just isn't worth 800 points, I'd pull the trigger at 400 but they're kidding if they think it'll sell at any higher.

I'm not spending my last 1600 MSP on anything until Ballad of Gay Tony releases.. And besides, I'll just get the Left 4 Dead campaign for free for the PC version.

"Military Madness: Nectaris" looks interesting. I'll download the trial and go from there. I'm always interested in another strategy game to fail at.

ok now Im confused I though it was called Puzzle Bobble live! and it didn't have a north american release date yet?? Is this the same game as Bust-a-move, I mean I know they are the same game, but why is it listed as puzzle bobble live in one and then bust-a-move in another????

@22 - If you click on the link it takes you to the XBL marketplace page, where you can tell it's soccer (football over there, whatever.) It's not American Football.

LOL @ ghwt tracks. First a free Van Halen game, now discounted tracks? Their business model is showing signs of fatigue lately and this only supports it.

also been said on MN's blog that PSN get's 25 discounted tracks while we only get 10?

Sweet, huge Blind Melon fan. Their songs are great for rhythm games but they are really obscure for some reason.

Also, now that #37 mentions it, where is Doom 2 anyway? Does it have a release date?

Well I hoped online today to find that the NEW L4D DLC is NOT! 560 MSP and that its really 800 MSP what kind of shit is that. $10 for one new map and really shitty Cheevo's. Someone slipped up on the price for this DLC.

@47 it is 560 if you try to download it. M$ just listed it wrong

Ah, I see. Its soccer not football. They should have a better ame to avoid confusion between all of the footballs.
