Speaking to x360a earlier this week, Tim Schafer told us that he'd "love to do a Psychonauts 2 someday."

When asked whether there was a follow up to the well received Psychonauts in Double Fine's future, Schafer commented, "we have some ideas for that but there’s no plan to do that. It’s fun to think about, but we have some ideas for new stuff as well. I would love to do a Psychonauts 2 someday."

When quizzed on whether Schafer would like to work on a sequel in general, Psychonauts came up again, "Psychonauts could just go on and on though because it’s all about people’s brains. It’s all about every level being different and you could tell a whole new different story."

Go on Tim, rally the team, we'd love to see a Psychonauts 2. It's good to see that it's not forgotten though, especially after the uninspiring sales of the title and we'll still be constructing the 100ft Psychonauts shrine in preparation for the announcement.
