The Ballad of Gay Tony - Meet Yusuf Amir

The Ballad of Gay Tony - Meet Yusuf Amir
Written Thursday, September 24, 2009 by Dan Webb

Last week we had the pleasure of meeting The Ballad of Gay Tony's namesake, AKA Tony Prince. This week the attention turns to Omad Djalili's character, Yusuf Amir, who is shaping up to be a fine addition to the cast indeed... and not just because he has a solid gold phone and dances in his pants, but he's a great singer too...

The Ballad of Gay Tony drops on to Xbox Live on October 29th for 1,600 Microsoft points.

This is looking pretty good. Too bad I'm going to have to wait to get it until Christmas or so. My hard drive won't be able to hold this and all the other games I'm gonna get so I need to upgrade.

HT101, The Ballad of Gay Tony is coming on The Episodes of Liberty City, a physical CD that you don't need to download to your HD

brilliant! I love Omad Djalili's stand up work and it looks like it's translated to the game well.

Couldn't help noticing a billboard in the background as well advertising Bratz dolls renamed as Bitches! lol

Ugh.

Too bad R*, but there's too many good things coming out at that time, and frankly this doesn't impress me. 1600msp for a few new cars, basically everything cool they took OUT of GTA, an annoying main character...GTA:SA is still 1600, just so you guys know...

Seriously, how do you get from being a badass biker from Alderney currently in a brutally violent biker gang war, to...this?

@#18 - I actually prefer the premise here to TLAD. I like the nightlife, fast cars and drug orientated scenarios, to the gritty biker story.

Also... TLAD was better value for money than any game out in the past 5 years. A few new cars, an annoying main character? Pffffft. We don't know anything about the main character yet really (I'm talking Luiz here, not Tony) and there will be about 15 hours of content if it follows TLAD.

Acid Mother, Rockstar will rack up tons of sales from BOGT and Episodes from Liberty City. Rockstar is going heavy with the marketing. Anyone who says these two pieces of DLC are a waste of money are insane. No other DLC compares at all. Get real and stop whining because you don't like GTA.

"at least they're wearing jocks in this one!"

Too true, but they pretty much have to be now. After TLAD, it wouldn't be "OMG I CAN'T BELIEVE THEY SHOWED THAT!!" It would just be "Oh look, they did it again." And that wouldn't be even half as fun.

Why is the GTAIV DLC always so expensive? The only other game I know that had this expensive DLC was Oblivion. Every other game was at least 1200 or below mostly.

@18 San Andreas is 1200 MSP i believe and yeah I agree it's a shame they took out so many good features from that game! An HD San Andreas with online co-op free roam would be where it's at. I am looking forward to this though, more so than The Lost and Damned. I prefer this theme to the gritty biker one.

Downloadable content - achievements or no achievements - will you buy it with or without them?
If the content is good, or for a game I love, I'll buy it regardless of whether chievos are included
I'll still buy and play the downloadable content, but achievements would be nice.
Who the hell cares!?
No achievements, no sale ... and that goes for any game ... whether you're GTA or Halo!
Just stop with the DLC achievements full stop ... you're ruining my completion percentage dammit!
