And yes, this is most likely the reason. Some gigantic titles are on it's way with a legion of fans. Risen wouldn't fare too well. |

| I don't see the point of moving to 2010 now. I mean people will get 2/3 games for Christmas. I'll be getting Modern Warfare 2, Assassin's Creed II and Forza 3. Now theirs on about 3 others i'll get (and one of them's a budget title), Left 4 Dead 2, FIFA 10 and Tropico 3. Now, fast forward to Q1 2010 and you'll have Splinter Cell, Red Dead Redemption, Mass Effect 2 etc, so it's going a lot more competitive than just staying in 2009. See my point? There releasing games at a peroid when traditonally people don't have much money after Christmas, forcing them to choose one out of about 5 in 2010, rather than about three in 2009. I'm sorry if rambling. :-( |

| Risen is delayed on Xbox 360 only for NA. It will be released 2nd October in Europe as well as PC version. |

| @14 is right, too many games are getting pushed to 2010 so even if you had the money there's just so many games. I'm probably only going to be getting Mass Effect 2 and just wait for everything else though. |

Looking forward to ODST, OPFP2, Borderlands, MW2, L4D2, As well as Bad Company 2 in March and some XBLA titles.
Not looking forward to AC2 anymore. Played AC1 the other day again and remembered why i stopped playing it in the first place. Will wait until AC2 drops below the £20 mark.

Dear fans,
We've released a press announcement yesterday evening with the information that the Xbox 360 version of Risen for the USA will be delayed. First I would like to add that this is a purely strategic decision since we do have a RTM* certificate from Microsoft USA and Microsoft Europe for Risen, and secondly I would like to point out that this will of course not affect the release of the PC version or any other market outside of the USA. The US market is currently very volatile because of the financial crisis and it certainly hit the retailers to a degree where they have to take decisions which we do not want to support for our product. So we decided to delay the release until 2010 since we believe that time will heal the wounds. I |

#25, hope your right. dont want it to be pulled like so many others. but i guess it would have to be a seperate release date for many sides.
with the amount of games that get delayed, them dates that are now set will probly be delayed again cause thats where even more good game are. its rediculous that there so many games delayed and then get delayed even more. |

damn. i had a feeling this was coming, as the game showed up as "canceled" on Gamefly starting last week.
glad to know it's not kaput, but yet another title i am strongly looking forward to that's pushed to god-knows-when. |

| Well as a RPG gamer, Risen would not have been one of the games I'd have been buying this fall. With Borderlands, Alpha Protocol and Dragon Age I should have all the RPG fun I can stand. So I think it's a smart move for them. Still, very odd that the PC version will still drop. |

@44- Alpha Protocol is more like Mass Effect 2 and is totally an RPG.
That said, I was curious about Risen and pushing it into an even bigger battle then it would have already faced is not smart. |

| Usually the games of this developer have had lots of bugs so I think this is a really good thing, now they can spot all the possible bugs in the PC version. |

You may want to learn the difference between its and it's before you go correcting others. Your number agreement is wrong, too.
Anyway, "Risen" looks like a bargain bin title. I may eventually play it if it gets good reviews, but I doubt it. There are a lot of other games that I would rather play than this one. |
