Bull. Fucking. Shit. It shouldn't take this long to get a patch organised. I honestly don't care for the avatar dolly dress up crap, but Microsoft are taking their sweet precious time about it.Monday, August 31, 2009 @ 08:28 PM
love this game.Monday, August 31, 2009 @ 08:32 PM
#3 is right :)Monday, August 31, 2009 @ 08:34 PM
@#1 - Yeah we have the update, but we don't have any awardables in any games yet =P Splosion man was said to be the first.Monday, August 31, 2009 @ 08:43 PM

SIGH! Just let it come out before 2010.Monday, August 31, 2009 @ 08:52 PM
Typical Microsoft dragging their feet >.>Monday, August 31, 2009 @ 08:57 PM

they should hav fixed this shit months ago i hope they clear cod:4 and cod:WaW leaderboards first for christ sake shitMonday, August 31, 2009 @ 09:29 PM
@#6 why would they release that update on an arcade game why not a big coming up title like modern warfare 2 or halo:ODST or some shit why spend the update on a dinky little acrade game that ppl dont hav or wont buy there just doing that so ppl could buy the game. "THERE ROBBING US"!!!Monday, August 31, 2009 @ 09:39 PM
@17: you know, there are people out there who like other games than shooters. real gamers who seek for new video games with fresh ideas. Like Splosion Man.Monday, August 31, 2009 @ 10:12 PM
Why would they even put 'Awards' and 'Avatar Awards' options everywhere and have a huge announcement that Splosion Man will have awards, then not even release them till Fall. Microsoft needs to get their shit straight.Monday, August 31, 2009 @ 10:22 PM
Unlockable themes and gamerpics. Now unlockable avatar swag. Twisted Pixel is a leader in what games should offer as unlockables. Thumbs up for a quality company.Monday, August 31, 2009 @ 10:24 PM
@15 Good job calling the dude out on 'Splosion Man. So much anger for someone without opinion.Monday, August 31, 2009 @ 10:38 PM
lag in mp makes it unplayable online, get your priorities right screw the comp and unlockables.Monday, August 31, 2009 @ 11:08 PM
cool. i likes me my splosion man. deff a good change in pace from everything else.Monday, August 31, 2009 @ 11:15 PM
#17 I think your a little confused as to games that people do play. Yes shooters are incredibly popular, but the same dredged "space army" genre or whatever the hell its counted as is far from the only thing worthy of an update. I agree with #22 though, that lag has made the online multiplayer impossible. Thats what needs an update. But as much as I'm not bothered about the avatar awards, I want what was advertised. Regardless of whether I'm gonna use it, if it was promised, I want it.Monday, August 31, 2009 @ 11:36 PM
so something that doesn't matter is getting fixed, and some little contest is being put up. way to go twisted pixel, it's pretty clear that the online is just fine and that the avatar awards are already out..... oh wait a second...Monday, August 31, 2009 @ 11:39 PM
@#17 - I think you're misunderstanding the process... The patch I presume is already made - judging by the language in the press release - but it's sat with Microsoft in the certification stage (testing, etc). Microsoft have just got to switch a button... it won't affect games like ODST or MW2 at all.Tuesday, September 01, 2009 @ 02:44 AM
Always waiting for Microsoft!! KILL BILL!!Tuesday, September 01, 2009 @ 03:50 AM
Does this mean it's coming out with the "Fall" update, like Twitter, Facebook etc.Tuesday, September 01, 2009 @ 04:22 AM
iv seen what the avatar awards look like and they're not so great. white shirt orange logo for breaking one pane of glass and a black shirt with a testtube logo for completing the multi game, nothing great and no source cos i forgot were it wasTuesday, September 01, 2009 @ 05:21 AM
Bullshit this patch should've come out with the update a month ago. Also, overall Microsoft needs to get their act together, WE are paying for it. Fix the lag in some games (Splosion Man for example), clear out glitched leaderboards (CoD's) and stop charging $5 for a fucking lightsaber.Tuesday, September 01, 2009 @ 05:22 AM
Oh and fix the damn complaint and player review systems. They don't do sh*t.Tuesday, September 01, 2009 @ 06:17 AM
@dachiefofownage, i beg to differ iv been suspended twice because little bastards who cant take being beat complain on me, so it does work to an extentTuesday, September 01, 2009 @ 07:47 AM
FUCK SAKE FIX THE LAG IN MULTIPLAYER!!!!! ARGHHH i love this game but it has the worst servers witch is preventing me from playing itTuesday, September 01, 2009 @ 08:30 AM
The lag online is absolutely Horrific, especially as australian. We get maybe 1 level done in good connection before the lag takes over.Tuesday, September 01, 2009 @ 08:54 AM
Im so sick of M$ lately ive been playing my ps3 more than my 360 lately. Just give us the update already. They shouldnt have boasted the award system to us if we cant use it F this im off to play ps3. They just got an update today.......Tuesday, September 01, 2009 @ 09:54 AM
so no word on when we can unlock awards?Tuesday, September 01, 2009 @ 11:11 AM
@15 and 21 It isn't about the actual clothes for me. It is the principle. In the descript it says you get a theme, gamerpics and clothes. So I got the gamerpics and theme but no clothes. Clothes that I was promised weeks ago when I bought it. Funny how when it comes to games they get a free pass but no other industry does. If you went to McDs and got a happy meal but was missing the fries you would be pissed. You would be up there demanding your fries. Well that is all we are doing is demanding our fries.Tuesday, September 01, 2009 @ 12:15 PM
stuff the awards they havent said if multiplayer lag is fixed!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! im guessing it isnt as they have said nothing, what a rip off, we buy a game and half of it doesnt work properly, i might demand a refundTuesday, September 01, 2009 @ 03:17 PM
LOL @ talking about shooting games. AVATAR AWARDS PLZ!! KTHXBYE!Wednesday, September 02, 2009 @ 04:03 PM
just sort multiplayer lag. i dont care about a t shirt.Saturday, September 12, 2009 @ 02:28 PM
i find multiplayer lag to be fine i havent experienced any. NOOB QUESTION ALERT: when is the rewardables actually coming outWednesday, September 16, 2009 @ 03:54 AM
Groan, where's the award. I suspect it's either MS trying to drum up a bit of free press and chat around it - or they're having some technical problems trying to get it to work. What? MS having deployment probs? Surely not ;-)

Twisted Pixel announced today details on their title update for 'Splosion Man, along with the information that the awardables patch won't be included, as it is up to Microsoft on when it will be released. The awardables will go along with the new Xbox Live update that will allow for Avatar accessories to be awarded for achieving certain things in the game.
Another big announcement is that within the title update there will be a patch to help correct an exploit that allowed players to post scores that were impossible to obtain, which allowed them to be at the top of leaderboards that they didn't deserve to be. The patch will release at 2 a.m PDT on Tuesday, September 1st, which is less than 12 hours from now. This will clear out leaderboards so that only legit scores remain.
This will also coincide with the upcoming "Speedy Splode" contest, which will span the week of September 6th-12th. In this contest, players will try to get the best time on single-player level 3-8. The winner will receive a unique 'Splosion Man trophy and an autographed poster of the developers.
