Gorillaz Invading Rock Band Next Week

Gorillaz Invading Rock Band Next Week
Written Saturday, August 08, 2009 by Dan Webb

Harmonix and MTV yesterday announced that the Gorillaz will make their way on to the Rock Band Music Store next week as part of their weekly update.

If the cartoon style antics of the unique Gorillaz isn't for you and you're after something a little more sophisticated and genuine "old skool," then there is a little Janice Joplin, The Band, Jefferson Airplane and The Who to keep you occupied. Who said Rock Band doesn't cater to all tastes?

The content will be available this coming August 11th and the tracks are priced at 160 points each, or 440 for the Gorillaz Track Pack 01.

Gorillaz “Clint Eastwood”
Gorillaz “Feel Good Inc.”
Gorillaz “Re-Hash”
Janis Joplin “Piece of My Heart”
The Band “Chest Fever (LIVE)”
Jefferson Airplane “White Rabbit”
The Who “Magic Bus (Live at Leeds)”

I can tell I'm the old dude here, because I am more excited about Janis Joplin and The Who.... I do like the Gorillaz though and will probably get those as well.

Yay I love Gorillaz! Nice to see songs I'd actually download instead of the garbage they've been putting out lately

They're probs doing this just so noone will buy Guitar Hero 5. Gorillaz are in that too and I'd rather just download this than buy Guitar Hero...but I would get to play it with my avatar on GH5.

Definete buy for me thanks.

Ah, awesome. I'm not a huge fan on the GH series, but I'd play it at times, and I am considering in at least playing GH:5.

Wow #10, that was insightful... why would you:
a.) check a news post about Rock Band tracks if you don't have it?
b.) post a comment on a news post about Rock Band that you do not own Rock Band?
I don't own a lot of things, but I also don't waste time posting it in random news comments.

Getting the Gorillaz tracks for sure. The 70's music isn't for me... I'm sure will dad will get them and call me to tell me all about them.

@5: I like the Who too. I just don't like Magic Bus. I hate Janis Joplin. I've never heard any "The Band" songs but I do know who they are. I'll probably get Jefferson Airplane and the Gorillaz though.

Har Har Har @25

Then don't post in any news related to ANY games you don't have you stupid prick. He probably meant "I like the songs, I just don't have Rock Band." Don't be a dick, it's the reason you have no freinds.

I have stopped downloading songs that I like if they are to easy on drums or not fun. The Who songs are fun and the recent Iron Maiden are some of the more fun drum songs out.

I wouldn't be surprised if Gorillaz was the most downloaded band, with Feel Good Inc. being the most overall.

With that being said, I gotta get me some MSP by Tuesday. I want Feel Good Inc. and White Rabbit.
Gorillaz and Jefferson Airplane are win.

With a few exceptions, Harmonix hasn't been putting out any dlc this year that cought my interest. Keeping my fingers crossed for more (classic) Pearl Jam, etc. (But, hey, more The Who!)

Downloadable content - achievements or no achievements - will you buy it with or without them?
If the content is good, or for a game I love, I'll buy it regardless of whether chievos are included
I'll still buy and play the downloadable content, but achievements would be nice.
Who the hell cares!?
No achievements, no sale ... and that goes for any game ... whether you're GTA or Halo!
Just stop with the DLC achievements full stop ... you're ruining my completion percentage dammit!
