Not really sure about this - seeing as I only know 'Jump' by Van Halen, but some of the other tracks are quite promising, with Queen, QOTS, The Clash and Deep Purple.
Will probably pick it up once it's been out a while and come down in price. |

I am liking the extra songs, although they shouldn't have picked so many songs that were in RB2... they already did it, and better then guitar hero will do it.
oh and 28 & 31... game companies do this all the time when series get popular. Are you saying that you won't buy a game from any franchise if they come out with more than one in a year? Granted Guitar hero is taking it a little to far, but still, music games are fun as hell, so if they keep making them, I'll keep playing them. | Not only is this the 7261st Guitar Hero to be release, but is it just me who thinks the list of songs is getting smaller? I'm almost positive that there were more songs in GH3 and WT. Maybe its just my mind playing tricks makin me think its even worse. I dont know. All I know is I wont buy this either, its deffinately not worth the 80+ AUS Dollars they try to charge for the game on its own. |

Is it really that hard for Neversoft to get songs from bands that aren't already in RB2 as DLC? Why have songs like Space Truckin when Deep Purple have so many better songs? Makes no sense at all.

I'm assuming the reason alot of songs get rehashed through both series is when the record label that owns the rights to all their bands songs releases the masters out, they might only release certain songs and not others. That, or when they do release the masters and the other game buys them, maybe they get them at a lower price.
Reguardless, any song on Rock Band 2 is going to play 100x better on Guitar Hero, it just plays way smoother and better on Guitar Hero format, and the mixes are way better too. |

| I hate to be another generic complainer about a GH game. But dear god this game is just sad. First GH I'm not buying. If your gonna do a band game how bout you actually make the band songs double than the various artists? Do you just not fucking care Activision? Hell sometimes I like to think they probably put more time into the achievement pictures than the actual gameplay, lol. Look at Harmonix with The Beatles: Rock Band, that's how you respect the band and make an actual band game. Don't get me wrong, I listen to Van Halen. But I'm just tired of Activision pulling this bullshit every 6 months. |

Out of the way children, this list far exceeds my expectations for a VH set list for this game, all DLR 1984 and before. Mean Street and Romeo Delight, I will put those riffs up against any metal released today and they will stand up and bitch slap some nu metal bands. The rest is a decent collection of filler.

Damn it, why can't Alterbridge be on 5 or on Rock Band 2? I have been waiting for something by them since I first bought it.
@76-Are you kidding me? Have you compared Madden 08 and 09 (hell even 10 look improved) EA is starting to get it that they need to start improving it. As for Guitar Hero, looks only slightly better each time, but yet they still want you to pay full retail price for each one of their games and then maybe release maybe two or three good DLC packs and then the rest are from a bunch of bands that only a few people know. And then a new game every three months that could of easily been released as DLC. |

| I love Alter Bridge so couldn't really be disapointed by any song but I'd much rather have had Ties that bind, Blackbird or Metalingus. What I'd really love is for Rock Band to do an Alter Bridge track pack then I wouldn't need to buy this game for the other whole 2 tracks I like |

This game is just terrible.. honestly i must be one of the biggest guitar hero fag of all time and this to me is their worst set list.
staceys mum and pretty fly for a white guy (i actually like the offspring) has just ruined this game n its a definate no no on buying. Dissapointing, hopefully guitar hero jimi hendrix will be good, psychadelic (or however you spell it) rock is the best of rock if anything. Most influential at that :D
and there wont be any shit songs from like the 90s because to hendrix that would be disrespectful. |
