Modern Warfare 2 Prestige Edition is a Pricey HMV Exclusive in the UK Written Tuesday, July 21, 2009 by Dan Webb GamesIndustry.biz are reporting that HMV have snagged the exclusive rights for Modern Warfare 2's Prestige Edition in the UK. The Prestige Edition includes Night Vision Goggles with a "Soap" bust, an art book and an Arcade version of the original Call of Duty title, but it doesn't come cheap. It comes in at a staggering £119.99. Too rich for your blood? Or are the lure of those NVGs too much to handle? I'm still undecided. COD WaW took a lot more skill (w00t un-scoped Bolt-actions ftw)the gameplay is definately a lot more team based as you need to cover a better area than COD4 because COD5 had well layed maps where COD4 had tons of open areas and nothing much to hide behind. In short COD4 = To easy for noobs. COD WaW = Takes more skill. |

COD4 seems to give me really bad respawns, usually according to the gun set up I choose (usually if I choose a Sniper they'll put my right next to the enemy and if I chose an Medium Rifle or short range SMG, they'll throw me on the other side of the map) and that happens a lot of the time. Agreeable if you can get on the other side of a claymore it does little damage to you but sometimes I feel I've literally been "sniped" by them. R700 and 50.Cal do have some recoil but then no one uses them everyone uses M21 or M40A3(which is really easy to use as I got about 300 kills in about 1 and a half hours with it). Oh and Be |

Buy either the regular edition or the hardened edition; I know the prices are up on those too, and that sucks, I know, but just don't try to go high-end if you really want the game. K? :) |

Real NVG's work by amplifying the tiniest amount of light 1000's of times and forming a picture, with it being displayed green as it is the colour the human eye is most sensitive to. With these you'll only be able to see a few meters at the most, and it would be pointless even trying to use them outside. Basically this is cheap sh*t. If anyone has a camcorder with 'Night Mode' or anything similar, try that out and expect similar, if not worse results. Feels like I just wrote an essay... |
