| this would be perfect if the new sliders included wether you could play online with only TPC or button control. My opinion stands that this is a slap to the face of the devlopers because if these people who were complaining were really fans, that they would've already bought the game and tried to learn TPC to get better. |

@2, they aren't doing anything but putting in a feature that was in the last game. I guess the new slider/gym is cool. I don't like being forced to play the game one way, nintendo did it with zelda and mario hoops on DS and I hated the controls in both so I didn't buy them. Same here. |

"For all those cynics out there who doubted otherwise, the downloadable content (I suppose it's more of a patch) will be free to download as well." Oh c'mon, they're ALL patches. "DLC" is just a marketing name to force you to convince yourself you're not getting fucked over on content that should have been in the game when you bought it. |

Well finally EA realised the foolishness of taking the buttons out. If they kept them out, it would have pissed off a large amount of fans and made many not buy it. I was gonna buy it anyway, because i love the FN series too much, although i was very disappointed with no buttons. So I'm very happy now. EA made a profitable decision. I hope they release downloadable boxers like Marquez, Hopkins, De La Hoya, Mayweather and Holyfield. |

| I really can't believe people used the buttons in this game, the stick takes about 15 mins to learn, and when you have it allows you to swing and time your punches much better, it's how the game is meant to be played, you have to be a fucking moron to not be able to learn it, i just can't believe in this day and age there are still 1000's of people that want there gaming to consist of 1 button pushing games, you should all go back to SNES and super punch-out. |

| LMFAO this thread is funny. There's some guy incredulous that they're adding buttons to this game because he thought this game was supposed to "realistic".How is stick spamming and rotating a knob exactly the same as punching some guy in their face? Then you have another person who can't believe that in this day and age, there are people who prefer buttons and can't learn stick movements. I can't believe there are people who don't know the difference between there, their and they're. It's a good ploy to get a boost in sales after the initial run, but I've just lost interest in this. Even in gaming, MMA garners my attention more than the sweet science. |

I never played FN3, so I don't really even know how the button layout is, I just know how to use the RS. Which I actually kind of like, but I wouldn't mind trying this game with buttons just because I feel like I could put together better combos with the buttons. I also don't see how using buttons makes you a "noob." Look at the new UFC game that is out, that game is all buttons (except for the grappling) and tons of people complain how it is to complicated. I guess I know what yall mean by button mashers, but if the game plays like it is supposed to, then someone doing only one move should just be an easy win. |

I like how everyone assumes that anyone who uses the buttons will be a "button-mashing noob". I was disappointed with the no-button setup but I have learned to enjoy the game anyway. But whether I use the stick or buttons, the flow and timing of a combo or a counter still has to be the same, and that timing is where the real skill of the game is, not the ability to flick the RS or tap a button. |
