Im sorry, but Skate 2 is a far, far better game than Gears 2 and atleast on par with the other games you mentioned.

FINALLY!!!I don't care if it sucks. I have actually put down this game because DLC came quick but got old soon. I'm glad Skate 2 is bringing in new DLC and hopefully it does reach 1750 because to date it is the best Skateboarding game. Till Ride comes out, imo.
Wonder if there will be a new section of map for online play.
Atleast it is not more then 400 because Battlefield is taking most of my point card. |

#18, best skating game until Ride comes out? Thats a joke right? What has the Tony Hawk franchise ever done that was better than Skate? Ride might be fun, but no way is it going to be a better game than Skate 1 or 2. I've seen all the videos for Ride and it looks to be just as horrible as all the other TH games except you stand on the controller this time. |

@#19 Skate 2 is much better than Gears I'll go as far as saying it's the best game on the Xbox 360.
And to the original poster of this news (Alan), you say "are all much more highly rated than Skate ever has been" well I completely disgree with that. Much more people hate on the big games than they do on Skate 2, it only gets hated on by people that don't bother to spend the time to learn how to play.
@#18, they are adding the 2009 Maloof Money Cup course to the game, I thought that was obvious lol. |

@#19 ever heard of a personal opinion? If you don't like shooters you may like skate (2) over those. I played way more skate (2) then halo 3 as I don't enjoy the online multiplayer. Might be a time thing as I can't train that much but I also played more skate (2) offline. |

I can't believe they're actually charging for a contest. I mean it's not much, but seriously a contest. I mean I enjoy playing Skate, but I can't pay for something like this when I'm just going to beat it and then ask myself why I bought it in the first place. A tiny bit of enjoyment.
Oh and reading an article on Gamerscore one of the Xbox guys said there is no cap on what a game can go to. They want to expand the experience as much as possible. He just said the achievements have to be worthwhile. |

Interesting, well hopefully 1750 will remain unpassable.
This clearly shows us that 1250 will not be a cap for the hit games only anymore. Not that this game wouldn't be good though but this is not a game Xbox 360 is known of.
The pricing of the DLC is correct, I think everyone should follow this EA's pricing of DLC.
Ps. Halo 3 and GoW2 are already 1750, you just can't get the full gamerscore amount out of them yet. |

It's funny, the actually content is small but you get loads for GS for it (unlike Fallout/Fable). I like it :). |

Great game though. I think Yahtzee got it right in his review. If you're into skating, it's one of the best games out there. If you're a beginner or not into the genre, it's inaccessible. |
