Gears TU4, Double XP and Winning Bonus This Weekend Written Wednesday, July 01, 2009 by Alan Pettit Just in time for this coming Fourth of July holiday weekend, Gears Producer Rod Ferguson has announced a few things for us. First, he confirmed that TU4 will drop sometime before the weekend starts. Then he announced a Double XP and Winning Bonus (+500 experience for the winning team members) will be running all weekend for Public matches. And finally there will be a special amendment to Horde mode: an influx of tickers for some 4th-themed fireworks. Be sure to get your Gears on this weekend to take advantage of all the bonuses! | |

You have to complete another game for the loss of exp to take effect. Also, if you got 0 exp, you were probably just the host. The host can't earn exp. Yep, annoying. |

Me included. My connection is lame, but I never lose XP. And yes, there may be glitches where you get 0 XP, its not physically impossible, but I'm pretty damn sure every time you're the host you don't earn XP. I know I, and many others don't anyway. Host does earn EXP, the only time when host does not earn EXP is when the system believes you to be standbying, even if its for just one instance in the match, it will give you no exp at the end. If you claim that your not standbying and you still get 0 exp, then im afraid to say, you either have a wireless connection that sometimes loses signal, or you have a shockingly bad connection. |

Been playing wingman and the weapons don't spawn until like a minute into the round. WTF. Such horseshit. I wish they would quit tinkering with online and just let it be. The online gameplay was fucked out of the box and and they keep trying to disguise it with stupid updates. Heres an idea make GOW3 play right when you ship it, then you won't have to fucking tweak the gameplay every 2 months. Then again I might be ranting after 2 hours of shooting people from 2 feet with a shotgun only to watch them turn around and blow me up with one shot. I guess I just suck. |

RIGHT BACK AT YOU BITCH. 20MBPS connection here and I quite regularly download the fuck out of shit whilst playing online, as long as you aren't uploading (LOL TORRENTS LOL) then you won't have any issues with lag. |
