Dante's Inferno Dev Diary - Limbo

Dante's Inferno Dev Diary - Limbo
Written Friday, June 12, 2009 by Dan Webb

EA today released a dev diary for their upcoming fall title, Dante's Inferno. The dev diary of the title, that is essentially a reimagining of the 14th century poem by Dante Alighieri, Divine Comedy, looks at the first of nine circeles featured in the poem and the game; Limbo.

We got to check out Limbo at E3 this year so check back early next week for our opinions on that, in the meantime, GO TO HELL!! Sorry, I mean, watch this dev diary.

I am looking forward to this for sure. I love the action oriented games. Hopefully Visceral brings a nice storyline to the table with some brash hack and slash brutality. It looks quite beautiful in imagery as well. It does have to compete with the likes of Darksiders, Bayonetta, and God of War III. So hopefully they make it a standout from those.

The poem may be a classic but the game just uses its concept. A very concept in the least lets just hope they can get a good game play engine or at least one that works well. Any other camera then a 360 degree view will lessen the experience. I'm in hell I want to see what my surroundings look like damn it!

If they can deliver on this, it's gonna be one sick game.

I'm calling it, this is just going to dissapoint and be only "loosely" based on the poem and the actual meaning behind it. All that crap about "fighting for his fiance's love" is not what the poem was supposed to represent and its just gonna be misrepresented in some hack and slash Ninja Gaiden wannabe. Goddamnit EA

Downloadable content - achievements or no achievements - will you buy it with or without them?
If the content is good, or for a game I love, I'll buy it regardless of whether chievos are included
I'll still buy and play the downloadable content, but achievements would be nice.
Who the hell cares!?
No achievements, no sale ... and that goes for any game ... whether you're GTA or Halo!
Just stop with the DLC achievements full stop ... you're ruining my completion percentage dammit!
