E3 2009: Disney Announce Games to Show at E3
Written Tuesday, June 02, 2009 By James Parkin

Disney Interactive Studios will unveil an expansive portfolio during the 2009 Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3).

The company’s rich line-up is highlighted by new franchises for home consoles: Split/Second, an intense, action arcade racing game in which players trigger large-scale, dramatic events that take out opponents and alter the race track; Pirates of the Caribbean: Armada of the Damned, a new open world action role playing game with an original story based in the Pirates of the Caribbean universe.

Games that will appear in Disney Interactive Studios’ E3 booth:

Original Intellectual Properties

Split/Second:  Set within the world of a hyper-competitive reality television show in a made-for-TV city rigged for destruction, Split/Second is an intense action racing game in which competitors can trigger events that take out opponents or completely change the track as they compete for the ultimate prize – to become the season’s champion.  Split/Second is from Black Rock Studio, Disney’s racing game studio in Brighton, England, and the developer of PURE, the Game Critics Awards’ Best Racing Game of E3 2008.

Pirates of the Caribbean: Armada of the Damned:  Armada of the Damned is an action RPG that takes players on a journey into the Pirates of the Caribbean world during a time before the stories from the films.   Players will take on the role of a pirate while making decisions that affect the evolution of the original story’s progression.  The game will feature the ability to sail and fight through a massive open world filled with dangerous enemies, questionable allies, epic sea battles and the mysterious supernatural.

Pirates could be interesting if done right, but not holding my breath on that. The rest aren't even worth mentioning.

@10 The whole word 'Achievement' is what you can accomplish, 'Gamerscore' is something different.
I for one, like all kind of games and kid games are usually easy and nice gamerscore.
Wow stop commenting on kid games for hatred it takes the point out of the word 'smart'

@12... agree with you... I love playing intense shooters, puzzles, driving sims... but sometimes, after 4 weeks of smahing 1 achievement out of a game, it's sometimes nice to sit back, turn off your brain and just play a kids game for pure FUN!!! The fact that they are an easy 1000 is just an added bonus.

Truth is, if you like em, play em... if you dont, stay well away, but stop complaining at people just because they dont want to play hardcore games 24/7. Each to their own hey.. or to put it another way, variety is the spice of life.
