Edit: That was my sister, I actually don't like music games. Don't mind the Beatles though, and I thought she had first post when I refreshed, but looks like I'm only #3 :(!

I think it's shocking they're not going to release more than 45 songs with a retail game. Unless this game is released at a lower than normal price (anything below £40) then I personally think it's not a fair deal for those wishing to buy.
Already announcing DLC for when the game is released, why not honour the fans who pump hard earned cash your way and release more than 45 songs with the retail game?
I apologise if anyone finds this rant out of place, and i'm not a huge fan of The Beatles, though I respect they helped shape the music of today in alot of ascepts, but Harmonix should be a little more pro-active towards their target market.
Some may be happy with this amount of songs, but I wouldn't purchase a game with only half of the expceted content on the disc.
Rock on . .

this is a nice idea but i can't see how it's gonna challenge gamers, surely there's gonna be some difficulty issues because they might end up having to make the songs harder than they actually are on real guitar.

Sgt. Pepper was originally mastered on 4 track. Didn't they say they needed 8 track master to put it in the game?
I can't see them not putting on here what is arguably their best album and most people's top ten of all time.
I thought about that when they announced this game eons ago and none of these 10 are on that album. :o(

#5, you make a really good point. I'm not going to try to defend Harmonix, because I'm on your side. Good argument.
#6 should get shot and thrown into a ditch though.

This of course won't be a challenging game at all. But as a Rock Band fan, I'm looking forward to renting it, beating it, and returning it.
If you're not a big Beatles fan, like myself, this game probably doesn't have a lot of replay value.

Wow, were the Beatles really that expensive to sign on? 45 songs is... disappointing. Unless the abovementioned DLC is free, which I highly doubt.
I still like the RB series more than GH because of the number of songs I can play without switching discs, but when bands like the Eagles and Metallica are exclusive to GH, and GH5 is going to have 70-80 songs or whatever they said...
I guess it doesn't help that I'm not a fan of the Beatles.

If "All You Need is Love" is 360 exclusive, that means that the PS3 will likely have its own exclusive. Thats no good. The DLC thing is great, might end up with a large if not complete Beatles catalog. Still waiting to hear if the songs are exportable and if the new DLC will be usable- in Rock Band 2. I'm 95% sold on this already, and exporting and full use in RB2 will completely sell me on it.
But I won't be picking up the extra instruments. The Hofner Bass with no double strum? pass. The Gretsch looks sweet, but the other guitar is rather plain. But none are worth $100 each. I'll stick with my p-bass.
Looking forward to more info on this one! Keep it comin'

Maybe I'm the only one who doesn't have a problem with the whole DLC being available shortly after launch. With an album like Abbey Road, some of the songs would not be good choices for disc tracks. As amazing as a song "I Want You (She's So Heavy)" is, does anyone really want to play an 8 minute song that doesn't change much?
...watch, that song will be on disc now.
I guess I just hope they're not going to try to charge 160ms each for Mean Mr. Mustard, Polythene Pam, and She Came In Through The Bathroom Window. That would just be evil. The only one of the medley tracks I could see paying 160 for is "The End," considering it's basically a long group of solos. Man, Abbey Road is awesome...
