What a rip off, you can buy a whole game for 800 pts and all you get here is 3 games modes? 2009 really seems to be the year that Microsoft milks the poor gamer for all they are worth with DLC. Recession? What Recession?? If only all DLC was the quality of the likes of Bethesda then maybe it would feel like money well spent, but when you look at this and the Resi 5 DLC it makes me wonder. |

I'll buy it, simply because I do enjoy the game and wanna see what this will bring to the table.
Good lord people stop complaining in every post about the price. It's not going to make it go down. You can't tell me if you could price it like that and make the same money they're making that you wouldn't do it too. |

@15 I will complain if I want. It makes me feel better about having to spend 10 dollars on a 2mb download lol. If this was a PC game it would likely be a free update. Paying for new game modes is BOO if you ask me.

For a true Halo enthusiast, the price and content of this dlc would never be in question. For the regular gamer that goes from game to game with whatever dlc is released next, this actually seems out of line. 800 is alot of money to spend for three modes. Considering Left 4 Dead released survival mode for free, I don't understand why Halo Wars can justify making its fan base spend 800 points for modes that (A) should have been included in the game or (B) should be free and happy that people are spending time playing their game instead of the hundred or so that are out there and possibly better.
I highly doubt I will buy this, unless it drops down to 450. It will never be free, like most dlc. Which is extremely unfortunate. |

I am still amazed at the ignorance of people. Robot (previously Ensemble) did not set the price for their DLC, no game developer does, it's all Microsoft milking us for all we're worth.
I'm on the fence about this DLC, 800 points isn't that much and I love the game, but I also don't really want to buy a 1600 points card for half of it... |

It's a shame to have such negativity, but I actually agree with it. 800 points is a bit steep for how little is given here. They could thrown in a new troop type (Spartan-IIIs anyone?) but the game types are just simple variations that aren't going to add all that much extra playtime.
I'll buy it down the line - wish I could just now, but can't justify it. Especially not for something which doesn't really offer anything for the offline player. |

Don't think of it as buying 3 modes for $10. Think of it as buying 2mb of a key that unlocks material thats already on the game. This game is just another example as to why RTS don't work on consoles. |

If this was five bucks it'd be a no brainer. For a ten dollar download it better be something worth more than new modes I'll probably play once ever. Resident evil was an example of this. I played a few times and put it back in my case. 5 bucks not very well spent but at least it wasn't a ten spot. |

The DLC adds great gameplay, fun for private and public matches. However 800 is a little steep for so little, i'd only suggest getting it if you truly do enjoy the game, so with that I'll let this fight continue on.
The achievements are fun, but a little challanging for a couple. But only get this if you enjoy playing Halo Wars and want the variation.
