Not sure why this is happening only in Canada, and only on May 8th, but if you you're in Canada and you'll be alive on May 8th, check it out and let us know how it is! The beta test should be available to all Xbox Live Gold members in Canada with the NXE Dashboard downloaded. Other regions are rumored to have betas coming as well, stay tuned.

| Quebec gets excluded because there's no point making a demo in a language that only a tenth of the population of the country speaks. Go anywhere else in Canada and you'll hear barely any French, so why release an English demo in a French-speaking province? | ||

| @1 It's funny you mention that. In Europe we get "screwed over" all the time. We didn't get Aegis Wing or Yaris, only obtainable by US account. Didn't get Are you smarter than a 10th grader, live score tracker. We still don't have Star Ocean: A New Hope or Tales of Vesperia. Not only that but there is an unobtainable achievement in Madden 07 I believe it is because you need a game that isn't released in the UK. There are also countless other examples and not necessarily just specific to the 360 either. Remember that next time you complain. | ||

| OK 1st go Microsoft for finally realizing that they can beta test things in more then just America. As for those bitching about one country get something that the other doesn't, get over it. Every country has things (games being only one of them) that are exclusive, always have & always will, that's just the way things are. On another note can anyone confirm that this beta is just one day i.e. a reliable source who can confirm it, cause everything I can find just says the beta starts on May 8th not that it is only for May 8th. | #73 I hate to tell you this but the UK did not come up with this idea, endemol did, and as per most of endemol programmes they are shown in the rest of europe before the BBC or ITV by the rights to make a UK version, see Big Brother etc.. | @3 well we either get it first in the global release or like 2 years after. we are always forgotten about :( So #1 don't complain about the US getting screwed. i have read all your threads about complaining things are too expensive. oh no, you have to pay $180 or whatever for rock band. poor you. try $280 over here. and world tour was $360. every game comes out as $110, while you get it way less. as soon as one little insignificant little thing doesn't go your way you say 'everything' is going wrong for you. i would say everything has gotten better for you since bush got kicked out. BuckFush. Woah im really off topic here... Back on topic. Um.. REAL prizes? Intriguing. | Maybe they chose to Beta in Canada to really limit the number of potential users as to not overload the system during the Beta. This was probably easier than having people sign up to Beta test. | ||

| They chose canada for a couple of reasons. We have a lot of people on XBL and to make up for a lack of netflix on live . Plus the day the beta launches (Friday) is traditionally the day the most canadians are on line. | ||

There's been no mention of ANYTHING for something like this in the UK (as far as I've heard lol) which makes me sad :o( @ the dude who said Canada is part of the US - I'm from the UK too, and please believe me when I say we're not all that silly! I think it's cool that Canada has been given a chance to try something before the rest of the world. Why not?
