| I usually don't mind delays, but if a game is delayed then I expect it to be made well. If it's not going to be made any better then releasing in June then what's the point? I hate games that delay, and seems like the developers hardly did anything to the game. |

@4 - This is the only summer Triple-A release? Really? Wow all of those other games I've been really looking forward to clearly don't make the grade! Prototype, Ghostbusters, Splinter Cell: Conviction (maybe), King of Fighters XII, Wolfenstein, Darksiders...not to mention the other games that aren't technically 'Triple-A' and KoF is pushing it.
Yeah I REALLY want Batman too, but sheesh it isn't like there is a LACK of great titles coming in the next few months. |

| damn this always happens to the games I want. I remember when they held back Dead Rising during the summer. Bioshock was also held until after the summer. Only thing that holding these games back for a latter date was made me want a different game. It seems like releasing games during the summer would be very profitable. I dont know why they do this. |

| Considering Prototype, Red Faction, Ghostbusters, Fight Night Round 4, and Tiger Woods also release in June, gives me more time for these. Batman looks amazing and if its a couple more months, its not the end of the world. |

I think if they hold it till christmas then its likely to sell even less copies. Im all up for batman but its not top of my christmas list when there is a boat load of great games out in november.
It will most likely just be drowned out by COD 6, Halo:Recon and be lost in the fray, from a business point of view woudlnt they be better releasing it early this autumn?
Seems a really stupid move to me, if its true that is. |

Well that's really disappointing. And honestly it doesn't make any sense from a business standpoint.
Foregoing 5 months of sales to have a "bigger release" is idiotic.
Eidos could easily sell 2 million copies in between June and Christmas season, and would STILL sell a ton for the holidays without this "strategic release" hogwash.
Then again it isn't a secret that Eidos is a horribly run company that just got rescued from the brink by a takeover, so I wouldn't be surprised. |

If it is because they need more development time and are just keeping that part a secret, good. Games that get pushed back because it needs dev time don't end up doing so well it seems. But pushing it back for profits, thats stupid. They could release this now, and have an Arkham Asylum 2 done by christmas... it doesn't really make much sense either way.
Release now, it is pretty much the biggest release of the next few months, release around X-mas and get buried by bigger titles.... Don't understand the logic behind that decision. |

These are all games with Q2/3 dates or expected releases (granted I'm sure a couple others will get pushed to November):
Bionic Commando, Damnation, Prototype, Ghostbusters, Fuel, Overlord 2, Marvel vs. Capcom 2, King of Fighters XII, Wolfenstein, Fight Night Rd 4, UFC 2009, Need for Speed Shift, DIRT 2, Bioshock 2, Borderlands, Dark Void, Halo 3 ODST, Marvel Ultimate Alliance 2, Tekken 6, WET - granted all of these won't be great, but if there's no games on that list you consider "good", then I guess you'll just have to sit around and wait for the next Call of Duty. |
