Braid Deal of the Week Refunds, and Bonus Written Sunday, April 26, 2009 by Alan Pettit When Microsoft ran their Deal of the Week for Braid (the first DotW) at a discounted 800MSP, many people jumped at the chance. Unfortunately, due to some technical glitch, there was no discount and everyone was charged the full price of 1200MSP. Well, you should be receiving an e-mail and a refund soon if you were hit by this error, and as an added bonus, Microsoft are giving an "oops, our bad" bonus of 100MSP. | |

Suppose they mischarged 50,000 people, then that is about $50,000 they lose for being lazy. And who says they can't give a refund of 100. You can go to the store and buy 800 and 1600 codes, while online it is 10k and 20k. I don't see that there is anything stopping them from just refunding 400. |

Its nice and simple for them to go "heres 400" when they are the ones who create it. And because your not being given a PHYSICAL code, it would only need to be punched into a computer then mass-emailed out. But to follow my earlier statement. 500 Codes WERE available but I doubt the chances of them still having a good 50,000 on-hand are slim. Dont say MS CANT do this or MS WONT do this when you dont know why they can and cannot do. |
