| Achievements mean absolutely nothing. People care about them way too much. Yes, they're fun to get but they should have no effect on whether or not you want to play a game. I'd much rather have free DLC with no achivements than have to pay for DLC with achievements. |

| to the people that say stop complaining about no new achievements, well I say this: would you play this survival mode for long if there were no leaderboards or medals to earn? What would be the fucking point? You're going to be working hard in survival to last long enough to earn gold medal and leaderboard standings. Me personally, I care nothing about leaderboards. Achievements are my personal leaderboard. If there were achievements tied to the medals it would be extra incentive to try that much harder to earn them. With no new achievements to strive to earn, I will only play this to try it out, then it will go back on the shelf where it's been until new campaigns get released. |

Seriously...big deal, no achievements. it's not like anyone has to pay to get no achievements. That's the worst thing about the introduction to achievements. Certain people play games for the achievements now instead of playing the game because they might actually enjoy it. | While I enjoy having achievements, because it's a way to gauge what you and others have accomplished on various games, it shouldn't be your sole basis on this stuff. Honestly, if all your doing is playing games now for (in all honestly) a somewhat pointless number, then all you're doing is wasting your money. You've ultimately gotten to the point that you choose to blow your money for an extra 1K. If you don't give a damn about enjoying the game, then don't play anymore, find something better to do to boast about. | Id love to play this but im not spending money to buy it again... a lot of moaning about extra achievements, i understand the site's main focus is achievements but i don't see why every update to a game must have them. if it cost money, the complaining would be about charging for content that should have been there in the first place.
there are many other games with lots of achievements to be had, if you dont like the fact that x game with y dlc has no gamerscore attached, don't comment that x game now blows but go on the forums and grab all of the quick 1000 games, achievements galore. /rant
anyway, i have no idea how hard survival mode gets but one of my friends wants our group to reach at least 5 minutes on lighthouse. could be easy, could be cursing all night trying to do it, who can say. |

| I agree with #139.... Playing a game is all about having fun and enjoying yourself. There's plenty of games ive completed and played over and over again because ive ENJOYED them! Works for me. Started up my 360. Downloaded the Survival Pack as soon as I saw post by p34nUt13188. Started L4D. Update popup appeared after Valve logo/tone. Applied the update which restarted the game. Survival mode shows up on the main menu. Everything's peachy.
BTW, I'm in USA and using NXE dashboard. How about those having trouble? Might as well try to narrow it down and help others toward zombie destroyinh bliss... |

i have a solution for u guys..
1) go to system settings
2) go to memory
3) press Y on hard drive (it says "device options"
4) type in this code
5) XX LB RB XX
6) Start L4D
the code erases your updates...
so u can go back & reupdate it |

| Forget wanting new achievements, the new Survival mode is going to be insanely helpful with getting the "Zombie Genocidest" achievement. I was playing a moment ago with some random people and my brother, and while our matches where only averaging a couple minutes, we were ending up with around 200 common infected defeated, averaging out to about 100 zombies per minute. That's insane. |

@ 151 they actually added a timer for survival with the melee I don't know if that carried over to the rest of the game, I just tried survivor after the update but you def can't spam melee in survivor...
BTW... its free content and people still bitch... WTF does it take to please you people? |

Am I the only one bummed out that there's no new maps in general? I mean sure Achievements are great, a new mode of play sounds fun, and the free price tag is just amazing.
How ever, I'd gladly shell out some points to get some new scenery. No matter what way you play it be it campaign, versus, survival, or what ever mode they can come up with, these maps only have so much replay value.
Oh well, I'm still getting the content, and I guess I'll just have to patiently wait for new maps. |

| It is great and even without achievements, you can still get the old achievements and if you don't have them already, it is so easy to get them now. With loads of Smokers Hunters Boomers and Tanks, there are so many achievements that become easier. You also have the endless amount of zombies which you can get a lot of kills off of |

after playing it a bit, a new achievement list would have been fun. i already had zombie genocidist, and maybe like a zombie holocaust achievement would have been cool (1mill kills?)
unfortunatly that didnt happen.

Although I would like more info on what "Survival" mode is, I'm sure I will like it just as much as the game itself.
And the fact that they made it free, rather than charging for it like Resident Evil 5 did for versus makes it that much better. |
