Perfect Dark Remake Set for an XBLA Release? Written Thursday, April 09, 2009 by Dan Webb The remake of Perfect Dark hitting the Xbox Live Arcade has been an unconfirmed rumour for sometime now, in fact, it still remains unconfirmed, but recently, we're getting a little bit more hopeful. Whilst showing off a new, upcoming Banjo-Kazooie Premium Theme, a Rare employee seems to have left a little gem in one of the screenshots (pictured below). Under the right hand of the avatar pictured below you'll be able to make out a small, slightly blurred Joanna Dark which we all know is not the tile for Perfect Dark Zero. While this is not concrete confirmation of the existence of release of Perfect Dark and could be Rare deciding to tease us with their evil ways, it does give us hope somewhat that this resurgence of old classics (especially so with Rare) will continue to do so. Chalk this one down as a rumour still, but ask yourselves the question, why Rare would go to all this trouble just to deceive us?

If you're getting nostalgic about the multiplayer from GoldenEye, keep in mind that almost all of the maps are in Prefect Dark anyway! N64 Perfect Dark was one of the first console shooters to introduce programmable bots into multiplayer and have dual functionality for all of the weapons. It had co-op and even a mode where someone could play as the enemies in the level to try and stop you in single player. If Rare can release the Banjo games and Perfect Dark....why can't they release the arcade verison of Killer Instinct and Battletoads? Those are two titles without a doubt would be successful on xbla. I know Goldeneye 007 can't be released because it was published by Nintendo however they are no reason why they can't do KI and Battletoads. The arcade verisons were published by midway and EA respectly. So therefore would not be a problem. |

If Mircosoft releases Goldeneye on xbla, they would be sued by nintendo right off the bat. Same thing if it were the other way around as Rare is now microsoft property. Only way Goldeneye would be release is for Mircosoft and Nintendo to reach an "agreement on the finanical side". |
 | Comment #111 by Pauley Paul Saturday, April 11, 2009 @ 07:14:14 PM COMMENT #109 couldn't have said it better perfect dark had tons of extras and unlockable's worth hours of gameplay like a shooting range.after completing the game you had special assignments not to mention your multiplayer statistics which shows how many kills,deaths,headshots,medals,wins,losses,damage delt,shots fired,pain received,you could even earn multiple ranks the highest star agent rank which i only got once.the game is simply awesome dont get me wrong golden eye was a very good classic too but in my opinion perfect dark takes the cake hands down! |

Perfect dar came out a lot later and I wasnt playing a lot at that time lol. |

PD was awesome but so many advancements have been made since then. Still I'd probably get it, Rare makes the absolute best games. Banjo beats Mario and all post Genisis Sonic. |
