| Wow - I'm sure if anybody liked the game enough to but DLC they already would have. 320 from 400 is nothing, as the person still has to pay the same price for 500 MSP. It's gay that I have 380, and I will need 400 for Resi 5 multiplayer - I have to buy an extra 500 instead of 20 for Christ's sake. |

| To add to my post, if Xbox wants to make money from these promotions they should put something like Uno Rush 50% off the first week of its release, 'cause that, for a change, would sell well and make them some money. No one's going to pay 800 for it, but if you put it on sale the first week, I guarantee you many impulse buyers will get it. Introductory prices are where it's at, not taking 80 points off DLC for a game no one played. YOU HEAR THAT MAJOR NELSON??? Make it happen... Now! |

Deal of the Week will become irrelevant unless they pick good titles. Braid was an excellent choice -- I bought it because of the DOTW offer.
I think DLC is not ideal for this sort of promotion. Fable was an OK choice, but I think they should focus on Arcade titles, as they have the best synergies with this sort of offer. The only DLC discounts I'd like to see are overpriced non-achievement DLC, like Tiger Woods 09 (800 MSP per add-on course is completely ridiculous).
How about offering the entire Family Game Night in a package (at a discount of, say, 800 MSP) as a DOTW? Castle Crashers or Penny Arcade at a 400 MSP discount? Other package deals? |

The only good deal so far was braid. Game DLC is not good as deal of the week. We want savings that make a difference so that instead of buying 1000 we only need to buy 500 for it. That makes the difference. like Legolas manic said you still have to get 500 points to get this.
I also wonder how Microsoft think up these obscure DOTW 'Mmm Whats a piece of DLC everyone wants... I know, Ninja Gaiden 2 and battlestations midway!' |

Wow.. I really thought deal of the week was gunna be awesome when they started with Braid (which I bought and loved for the 800pts) but since then it's just been fail after fail...I mean I did buy the PGR4 pack but that was just out of boredom more than anything.
Fable wasn't a horrible deal but I just don't see how 800pts is good enough when a disk copy of the game is cheaper than that now.. |

| I bought the Braid DOTW. Since then I have laughed at every DOTW. Braid is something, that 100% of those that haven't purchased it, can take a part in. Everything since has been promoted to the 50% or less that have purchased a game, then like it enough to keep playing it, then liked it more to buy the DLC, and then, only to those that haven't bought the DLC yet. Then to that very very incredibly small audience, they give them a whopping 20% off. Something so feeble should have been 75% off. Something more popular should be around 33-50%. And brand new should be 20%. Very ignorant indeed. |
