A sequel to DC fighter Injustice: Gods Among Us is apparently in the works at Mortal Kombat studio NetherRealm, if a report from French site Gameblog.fr is to be believed. According to Gameblog, a source close to the game has stated that an announcement is on the cards and could be dropping soon; potentially before E3 this June.
Apparently, Injustice: Gods Among Us 2 will utilise the same engine as Mortal Kombat X, and will be coming to Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC in March 2017, the report states. With NetherRealm seemingly on a two year development cycle, it'd make sense that Injustice 2 could be the studio's next title.
The first Injustice: Gods Among Us launched in April 2013, pitting DC's finest heroes and villains against one another. The game also included a story mode in which Batman and his allies had to tackle Superman when he goes a bit mental. We'll have more on Injustice: Gods Among Us 2 should any of this stuff prove legitimate.
